Does code org’s online community have social capabilities on peoples’ profiles, studios, & projects similar to here or is it mostly in the discussion forums where people chat?

app lab is fun. tried it again after about a year of not, and my app was broken by the * onRecordEvent block being unavailable… WHY?!?? it was a good block and it helped me NOW I HAVE TO REWRITE!!!!!

I was introduced to scratch through code.org and it's safe to say I like scratch more just because it as more of a community, it's why I've been here for so long
But I havent been on code.org in like 6 years so maybe things have changed idk

IIRC Microsoft's block-based coding engine which I forgot the name of also has Python and JavaScript.

MakeCode has Python and JavaScript (I think it also allows TypeScript which makes sense). Code.org does let you view JS-style pseudocode though

imo scratch is better because it has an online community and there are endless possibilities with the scratch blocks. Code.org has JavaScript and python but let’s be real, if you want to do real coding you can use ANYTHING EXCEPT code.org. And why is coding on code.org age-restricted to 13+ like why?

Artist (Code.org) - Actions, Brushes, Loops, Math, Logic, Functions, and Variables.

That's not always a bad thing - it could help teach people how to problem solve.

Welp griffpatche's part 2 of platformer tutorial doesn't go well with that, I quit with my platformer game because I tried looking, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!! BUT I NEVER FOUND THE ISSUE, I EVEN COMPARED THE BLOCKS.

I think I talked about this before but it may be outdated so here's my personal opinion.

Code.org is ok. But it's very limited and you can't really go all out on your freedom to make whatever you want.
Scratch on the other hand give you a fresh clean state of a project that you can edit, and you have the freedom to do whatever you want.
Code.org has a moderation system, but they unfairly rate most innocent games 18+
Scratch has a moderation system, which only removes if the project is inappropriate. It may be wrongfully removed sometimes, but it can be appealed.
Code.org only has a sound system in dance party, with limited songs.
Scratch always has a sound system. Which means as long as you have a wav or mp3 file of the sound/song. You can put it in.
Code.org has unrealistic coding blocks that won't actually be in real programming (example, an ai powered effects block).
Scratch does have actual code which can actually be used into real programming (example, a list block which is actually in python).
