Projects that gain a lot of views (like 1000+ will do) in a short period of time will get on trending afaik. There is an exploit that make your project get to trending instantly but I'm not sure if I can share that.

Well, it really depends on the algorithm. Usually projects that got a lot of loves in a short time get on trending.

yeah, just do that. its not like its really hard or anything, you can just copy and paste one of the dumb tempelate projects for a generic platformer. not hard at all!
