Wait is this still over LAN or on a single device?Because it’s very closely related to this, I suppose i could but I don’t even support this myselfSo here’s what I think splitscreen would look likeWhy not make your own suggestion for this?

So basically 1 pc would act as the host that is hosting all of this, the other pcs would basically act like remote controls for it and the screen itself being shown to the userWait is this still over LAN or on a single device?Because it’s very closely related to this, I suppose i could but I don’t even support this myselfSo here’s what I think splitscreen would look likeWhy not make your own suggestion for this?

As a bonus you would also be able to plug in another mice and control it like that.

Like (old locomotive) link where you can stream a game to another person and they can play the game using their own keybord as if it was plugged in as a seperate keybord to your pc

No, this suggestion is about multiple devices editing one project from their own device, no streaming. It would basically have the other computers remotely controlling the main oneI’m confused, what?So basically 1 pc would act as the host that is hosting all of this, the other pcs would basically act like remote controls for it and the screen itself being shown to the userWait is this still over LAN or on a single device?Because it’s very closely related to this, I suppose i could but I don’t even support this myselfSo here’s what I think splitscreen would look likeWhy not make your own suggestion for this?

It would stream OVER LAN and would let you do the exact same thing as this suggestion, just probably be easier to program (except for the split screen part)No, this suggestion is about multiple devices editing one project from their own device, no streaming.

That would be too hard to do with anything over 2 people including the hostIt would stream OVER LAN and would let you do the exact same thing as this suggestion, just probably be easier to program (except for the split screen part)No, this suggestion is about multiple devices editing one project from their own device, no streaming.

That’s what the things I said would do, make it easier to do that (tbh I actually like the sound of the 4p ui more then the current one, it just helps my adhd brain, I’ll make that it’s own topic when I make a mock-up)That would be too hard to to with anything over 2 people including the hostIt would stream OVER LAN and would let you do the exact same thing as this suggestion, just probably be easier to program (except for the split screen part)No, this suggestion is about multiple devices editing one project from their own device, no streaming.

If you’re going to make your own suggestion you have to find a way to solve the reason why the st rejected it (like I did)

This seems like a good suggestion, it wouldn't have any moderation issues I can think of and it would help people collaborate.

lil' timmy can't, butI think split screen editing is alot more likely than lanDo you think little Timmy, a small, young child with his friends, could learn how to hook it up to an actual server? Let alone even know what a server is?
If you were on LAN you could theoretically hook that up to an actual server and then anyone can acess it. Split screen will limit you to 1 device and if somehow little Timmy with $5 to his name has more than one monitor you could spread each editor across more than 1 monitor
And if there’s asymmetrical split screen (3 players) then the open area would be the view of the stage that anyone can click on
I might make some mock-ups of this as it would require a revised editor layout that also might be beneficial to have on mobile devices due to the similar aspect ratio
s can(very easily, too, I personally know atleast 5 people who are capable of the skills needed to hook it up to a server, and the money needed to own or rent a server)
Not that this is a reason to no support, but at the very least this security concern should be discussed

First of all, collaboration isn't rejected. What is rejected is users working on a project at the same time over separate devices. Yes, only allowing people in the same building as each other would help with moderation concerns, but the technical aspects of this and the cost is still just as much of a concern.

What if you have every PC host a connection that every other PC can listen to? Like a peer-to-peer network? Actually no this sucks
Maybe it could be like the Live Share extension for VSCode, where one PC makes a share link which can be given to other people to join into the same project?

It looks like a bunch of browsers support LAN, but Brave doesn’t, which i believe is popular among Scratchers.
Perhaps it could be supported on the offline editor as well, which would theoretically just require an open port.
