Do you mean a block whose definition you made in a text editor, instead of the normal editor? I'd guess that it will look and behave exactly as though you did make it in the editor, right? Example linky?

Thanks for the links - can you summarize? I have about 9000 things to do, and not much time to do it in.

Basically - if what you are doing creates projects shared to the site whose blocks don't work as you'd expect them to, then it's probably not a good idea. That could / will create confusion for new users, since they'll be able to see inside projects that aren't reproducible using the editor.

I made the project, so I'll summarize:

You can add inputs to custom blocks that aren't normally add-able in the Make a Block dialog, but do appear in primitive blocks, such as the variable slot dropdown.
