I think it would be very helpful to have a Weather extension in Scratch! It would be very neat to be able to make a weather forecast type thing in Scratch. Please comment your thoughts!

This existed in a old beta of 1.6 but was removed, so I don’t think it’s ever coming back

I'm pretty sure that in order to use this, Scratch must find your location and… well… it's a kids site.

Most you can do is narrow down timezones, but it grabs your ip address for location (most sites do this!)

I guess you could add like an HTML or a WebGL basic weather system…

ip is your relitive location, thats how the internet knwos where you are

when you search “whats my timezone” it uses your ip to find said info. thats just what scratch does
