will other people be able to edit tags on your projects in 2.0?
i hope not. id like to have it so only I can add tags, because someone keeps flagging every tag on my projects and i have to go and put them back. this is very annoying. no-one should be able to remove tags from other people's stuff.

Only you can add tags and they are limited to a number of 6, I believe.

Wes64Perhaps it's only restricted when you go to create new ones, but when they moved things over they weren't affected.LS97no way, the projects i have still have the same amount as on the regular site

Yeah, I think they still haven't trimmed out the old tags because they're looking for ways to keep the most important ones and filter the rest automatically. They'll probably do it for the beta.

why such an arbitrary amount?

It seemed the most logical. What would you suggest instead?

6 is probably already set in stone.
They went against unlimited because of the tag-craze phenomenon on the old site and the possibility of spam.
6 is a good number because it allows you to give a little indication without making it too cluttered.
Here's the discussion I was talking about. Steve, you even posted on it

MokatIn a few cases, a few more might be useful.
Really, only 2 or 3 are needed.

Well, a few like “game”, “mario”, and “platformer” are enough to describe the game.

I think six is good for covering all aspects of everything without being excessive.
Like:
“3D” “particles” “fountain” “first-person” “cloning” “water droplets”
Can you guess which (currently) front-paged project I'm talking about?
Or else people might be like:
“3D” “particles” “fountain” “first-person” “cloning” “water droplets” “walk around” “3D system” “3D particles” “3D fountain” “first-person 3D” etc.
As long as you can search for a combination of tags, 6 should be enough.

I can't figure out how to create a tag with a space character in it. Like, “water droplets”, for example.
Gotta use an underscore.
