I've had this thing where it shows that “ class has ended please start a new account. ” thing. and I've been asking my teacher to re-open class for me. But now, my teacher has moved into a different school, and I am scared that I am at risk of losing my account. Another reason is that I have scratch projects that I would not want to lose.

Are you able to go to that account? If so, download the projects you don't wanna lose and reupload them to your profile!

Most likely, you won't lose your account. despite the class ending, your account should be fully operable and usable like any other account. You are welcome to make a new one if you feel like it.

When classes end, the account isn't deleted, you just can't log in.
All your projects and studios are still accessible and comments are still on.

????? no the “dupe” is suggesting for the account to not be deleted when the class is over
this is just to give an option for the class account to become a normal account
theres a difference

W suggestion i have this problem on of my accounts and i just transferred the game over to my main. If Scratch adds this then it would be fairly helpful

Can you go to the account? You can download you're projects from there (I don't know this bc I still have an active school account after 3 years now)

Support this idea, if you had unshared projects that would be sad

But you can just make 2 accounts, one for school and one for nonschool. That's what lots of users do
