oh, and i think why the kids disliked mangle so much is that it replaced foxy, oh, and why is pirate cove out of order? and why dont the old and toy anamatronics try to kill each other? funny to be caught on tape! the background for my phone is when foxy charges at you, he gets kicked off, flung in the air and shot with a five-seven pistol about eight times, and mangle is saying: "oh god…oh god…..OH MY *^&%ING GOD! I find it hilarious!

Who's your favorite? Mine is Foxy. Least favorite is the Puppet.

Have you ever heard of the Duck Highway series? ‘Cause no. You haven’t. So check their studio, then get ready for the next one, Duck Highway 5: The Cars Strike Back. This time, it's personal. For the fifth time.

I personally believe that the Mangle was the one who did the Bite of ‘87. After all, as the Phone Guy says, she was a take apart toy which would have made her very angry and feel very worthless. Also, I believe that Jeremy was the victim of the Bite since on Night 6, he is told that for a birthday party, he will have to stay near the animatronics. Now, the animatronics cannot hurt children (they are built that way) but they have nothing stopping them from doing anything to humans. So when Jeremy goes near Mangle, Mangle, wishing to end her “life”, and realizing that closing down the pizzeria was the only way, she did the Bite of ’87.

FNAF THEORIES (The Expanded Universe of the Five Nights At Freddy's games)

The Missing Kids Incident

The game doesn't confirm whether the man convicted for the incident was actually the murderer, or if kids were stuffed into the animatronics. Since the animatronics attempt to kill other people in a similar manner, some fans believe that the animatronics were the real murderers.

Others believe that it was a homicidal employee (as they would have access to the costumes and the animatronics' AI controls), though the newspaper says nothing as to whether the killer was an employee. Scott Cawthon's hinting of paranormal activity within the pizzeria gave rise to speculation that the ghosts of the five children (and the other victims) might have possessed the animatronics, which caused their macabre behavior. Most fan theories agree that the Purple Man from the Death Minigames is the true murderer involved in this incident, as he is usually present with the imagery of deceased children.

A variation of two certain theories speculates that the murderer may have been a previous night guard, which would explain why the animatronics are so determined to reach Mike Schmidt (and supposedly Phone Guy before him, as heard during Night 4's phone call). Since the killings may have occurred after-hours, this theory raises the possibility that the victims haunting the animatronics want revenge but can only remember for certain that their killer was a night guard (This is leading towards the other theory of where fans believe that the Phone Guy is stuffed into Golden Freddy).

Another theory speculates that the missing children were stuffed into the four animatronics. This would explain the animatronics' foul odor, the leaking blood and mucus, and the parents' comparisons to reanimated corpses. No one knows what happened to the fifth child, though it is theorized that the fifth child may have been stuffed into Golden Freddy. This could explain why Golden Freddy has a little girl's laugh. It is possible that all of the children were killed and disposed of in a more traditional way, though.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 hints that the previous day shift guard is the one who murdered the children. Phone Guy mentions on Night 5 of the second game that “no one is allowed in or out…especially concerning any…previous employees.” This is also possible because Mike worked after both this incident and The Bite of ‘87 took place, and due to the fact that Jeremy Fitzgerald is the only protagonist to not be fired from his job as a night guard.

Another candidate could be Fritz Smith, the security guard on the Custom Night that is fired the following day after he tampers with the animatronics (just as Mike was). However, “tampering with the animatronics” could simply allude to the Custom Night gameplay where the player adjusts the A.I. levels of the animatronics. Also, the fact that Fritz worked after previous employees were neither allowed in or out possibly disproves this accusation.

Another theory proposed by the fan base is that Phone Guy is one of the likely candidates who took the missing children. This theory was brought up by MatPat of the famous YouTube theorizing gaming channel, The Game Theorists. The possible connections between The Purple Man and Golden Freddy to the Phone Guy are described; The Purple Man might be a security guard, which Phone Guy was, and The Purple Man’s glowing white eyes in the rare “You can't” version of the SAVE THEM death minigame are similar to the ones Golden Freddy has in Five Nights and Freddy's and the player can see “You can't” on the bottom left corner of the death screen from The Purple Man.

Phone Guy also mentions that Foxy was his favorite, giving fans a reason to believe that he was responsible, as in the Foxy Death Minigame, The Purple Man is seen outside Pirate Cove.

FNAF THEORIES (The Expanded Universe of the Five Nights At Freddy's games)

If the attack happened after Night 6 in the second game, the Bite would have taken place on either the 13th or 14th of November 1987 (Jeremy's final check is dated for the 13th). ◾ Interestingly enough, the 13th of November in the year 1987 was a Friday, making that particular day Friday the 13th, a day considered to be unlucky.

◾ Jeremy Fitzgerald could have received the bite; during Night 4 (Five Nights at Freddy's 2), Jeremy was informed that the animatronics were starting to behave abnormally to adults and almost aggressive towards the staff, yet completely normal around the children in the establishment. During Jeremy's final shift on Night 6, Phone Guy tells him that he would be working the day shift for the restaurant's last event: a birthday party. Phone Guy tells Jeremy to stay close to the animatronics to make sure they don't hurt anybody during the party. This foreshadows Jeremy's possible fate of being the victim of the Bite.
◾ Some fans have speculated that Foxy may have been the animatronic that had bitten the victim. This is most likely because he appears to be the most capable of doing so with his seemingly sharp and broken teeth. In Foxy's dwelling place, Pirate Cove, there is a sign that reads “Sorry! Out of Order.” Foxy himself is in a state of disrepair, possibly suggesting that the attraction was shut down after the incident. Foxy's jaw also seems to hang loosely, as if it were damaged through excessive force. The second game, however, effectively rules out Foxy as the attacker, as he and the other old animatronics were most likely in Parts/Service when the bite took place. Toy Chica is also an unlikely culprit, as her beak makes it hard to actually bite effectively. This is also the case for The Puppet and BB (due to a lack of a hinged jaw piece).

Still other fans speculate that Freddy himself was responsible for the Bite. On the posted rules in the East Hall in the original game, one of the rules listed states, “Don't touch Freddy.” This rule may have been enacted after the Bite, it could also be because the killer disguised as Freddy to kill the children. There are also two instances of faint handprints or hand-shaped impressions on Freddy's face, implying that someone may have been struggling against him in some form or fashion. The second game seems to disprove this by hinting that incidents which had occurred in either the first restaurant (referenced in the second game) or the third (the restaurant of the original) are responsible for the handprints. It could also be Phone Guy's print, because on Night 4, Freddy's song plays when Phone Guy dies, so Phone Guy could have tried to defend himself from the animatronics.

◾Another popular theory amongst fans is that The Mangle was the cause of The Bite, as its jump-scare involves it swinging from the ceiling of The Office with its jaws open. Upon inspection, it seems that Mangle attacks the upper area of Jeremy's head, where the frontal lobe is located. This further strengthens the possibility that The Mangle administrated the Bite of ‘87 in a similar fashion to its death screen. It is also known that this animatronic is dismantled daily by the kids and that the staff eventually just left it as a “take apart and put back together” attraction, which could have led it to either hate children, see a child as a possible threat, or otherwise become unstable.

◾ The player is initially informed of the incident by the Phone Guy, who mentions it on The 1st Night of the first game, hinting that FNaF2 is a prequel.

◾ On the A.I. settings for the Custom Night in the first game, entering 1/9/8/7 will cause Golden Freddy’s kill screen to appear and crash the game. This was added by Scott to halt rumors about entering 1/9/8/7 to acquire a supposed “secret ending” (a rumor originally started because of information about The Bite of '87 coming to light). This works for the Steam version of the game, the 1.1 version and onwards on Desura, and in the mobile version.

◾ Some fans theorize that the scream heard upon the player being attacked could be that of either the person bitten during the Bite, or one of the children from the The Missing Children Incident. This is supported by the fact that the full version of the scream is speculated to that of a child screaming, yet this could be an edited file of a group of children speaking, for the file has been replicated by editing a specific file off the website that Scott purchases his sounds from.
