Pokemon is a joint venture between Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures so Nintendo does not own Pokemon, it only owns a part of it
But they started it, didn't they?

i dont think they end full console support the second the new console starts
Yeah I know support ends in 2025 but just a year after the new thing? You know maybe I should wait until the price is revealed before judging it any further
tbh switch should end in 2024

I think first party games should end in mid 2025 depending on how the Switch 2 does, but technical support such as repairs and third party games should end in 2027

I don't think they should make a switch 2. Nintendo hasn't really done that unless you consider the Wii u a “Wii 2”. I think they should do something new

But if they went back to a normal console and a handheld consumers would see that as a downgrade compared to a hybrid

I feel like for the switch 2 to sell well it needs a gimmick

I'm guessing something as powerful as a PS4 Pro of Xbox One X but leaks have shown it will probably be as powerful as a base PS4

What?
If a new console released next year the Switch would be 7 years old, which is about average for most modern consoles, and is significantly better than the Wii U (4 years).

When support ends for a console could mean a lot of different things.
You could say support for the 3DS ended in 2019, when the last 1st party games released. Or in 2020, when Nintendo ended production. Or in 2023 when the eShop closed. Or in 2024 when the online servers shut down.
You could even say that Nintendo still supports the 3DS, as repairs for it still haven't ended yet.
