I have some concerns about Scratch's future blocks like Face Sensing , Animated text etc.
But good news! Scratch Team is planning on bringing the Camera feature back with the webcam in 1.4!

And also Scratch Team please stop taking down my forums
It's so annoying

Here's my concerns about Scratch Lab's new features!
It'll be broken down to 3 chapters
CHAPTER 1:
Webcam Camera Extension
What if a child gets st!len? What are you gonna do? Remove IT? btw the feature's been missing for 14 years already as of 5/10/23 so are you gonna put
a “Scratch needs parent permission” disclaimer ‘cause then you could trace the IP Address and find the child ie , A new risk to kids along many other
social medias
CHAPTER 2:
Animated Text
The “Animated Text” ’cause like if some kids have epilepsy then don't make it TOO FLASHY because they might have an seizure
Scratch Team I hope you're reading this because there are some things to be changed listed on CHAPTER 4
CHAPTER 3:
Face Sensing
I've seen a project on Scratch (regular scratch) called Minigames (the rest of it I can't remember and the username also) where It says
“Face Sensing Blocks have been disabled because it contains Cloud Variables” so make it that you can't do that ‘cause there are so many kids out there
vulnerable to getting hacked but I don’t know it could be a high-score but to be safe don't allow it
CHAPTER 4:
Bad things and things that I would like
Please make it so you could choose for the bar to be Purple or Blue
And please change the look to 2.0 for my account
And the fact that you're not allowed to advertise extensions is like crazy! Imagine this your friend has issues and then you say “Scratch (censored for advertisement) helps” then it says “You're muted for 5 minutes” is way too OVERBOARD to exist
!

I think this should go under Suggestions, because “Help With Scripts” is generally for people who have problems with their code.
You could suggest that you should be allowed to advertise extensions, or that you should be able to choose for the bar to be Purple or Blue.

Perhaps if you post in the correct forum they wouldn't have to take down your ‘forum’. (You don't have a forum, you have a topic within a forum and the forums are organised into particular subject areas. You're in Help with Scripts but not asking for help with scripting so your topic is in the wrong place!)

Because suggestionhubs aren’t allowed

Also you cant use cloud variables with the webcam extension and screenshoting the camera to use as an object was removed for that exact reason
Also, touching color and color detection just recognize the things under the video anyway so the video can’t even be detected by sprites

Animated text, it’s slow pulsing and you can already do that on scratch if you flash stuff anyway



I believe this is a troll post however as these are not things anyone would unironically say other than to bait people

There is a feedback button there, and I don’t think the newly added one would allow you to save it into the project due to the button being removed.

They obviously meant the camera feature that existed from 1.4 (it also existed in 2.0 and 3.0, but they removed it from 3.0 at some point), not that it was 1.4 now.
