So a certain app which is blacklisted across scratch has recently rebranded to X however since this is a letter this means that it can now be mentioned on scratch what is ST gonna do about this?

They're probably going to do nothing about it. Of course they won't ban the letter X

I bet it would be confusing for anyone LOL, you could get muted for basic stuff like "I wish that Scratch added an exponent block.“ or ”I do not expect that this would be happening anytime soon.“ or ”The x position is supposed to be 100, but it's being set to 50 instead.“ or ”There is an x and a y axis.“ or ”The list excludes numbers greater than 5.“ or ”Xmas is coming soon.“ or ”Solve for x“
Even if they had a whitelist, you'd have to whitelist a ton of words, and even then, x can be used in many other meanings (even if it's the only letter) other than social media.

Probably nothing about it since the Scratch Team can’t ban a single letter all because it’s also the new name of a social media website.

And even if someone does just for the sake of bypassing, we can't instantly save the person unfortunately — Well, unless ST manages to filter most words relating to usernames from said site, although probably difficult, only possibility I can think of that they could try.

Well, banning a letter would be a really crazy thing to do. Almost as crazy as naming a platform one.
But everyone I know who has that app still calls it Twitter anyway XD So I don't think it'll really be a problem…

also putting huge large numbers turns into x's on scratch also causing a problem

Only people born with it as X (which it will never be) would call it X.we don’t have to worry about it for a few years, then they can just ban it in context.
