Post your computer specs and explain why you like it?
Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9150e Quad-core
System memory: 4GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Hard drive: 500GB
1600 x 1024 screen size
And the worst part:
Graphics: NVDIA GeForce 6150 SE
Most of the games that I play are from like 2001 so it's not really a problem, but there's the odd game I'll try that doesn't work.

Pretty sad.

Your monitor now is fine, I don't think a whole new monitor is worth going from 1020p to 1080p.I agree with this. I have this one: I don't think you realise how important the monitor is.http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-pavilion-21-5-ips-led-hd-monitor-black/7294042.p?id=1218838644318&skuId=7294042
1080p IPS at 21-24" is basically the standard for gaming nowadays.
Not only is the monitor going to make all your games look much better, you're going to have a better screen for doing everything including schoolwork, browsing the web, programming, and more.
If you're still using a 1280x1024 monitor, you're basically stuck in the days of the Playstation 2 and Windows XP.
They're not very expensive either, you can get a good IPS 1080p monitor for under $150, cheaper than most graphics cards.
Why IPS? Better colour, better viewing angles, better sharpness.
I got it on sale for $99. Best monitor I have ever used. I don't know about the response time because I don't game but the fact that it has VGA, DVI (which I use currently), and HDMI is incredible. I'd recommend it for anyone.
Thank you! I will consider these options, but I'll wait until my current monitor is dead until I buy an HD IPS monitor.

The AOC monitor should be pretty good. Most monitors from the same price range, resolution and size, use the same panels anyway, usually from Samsung or LG.

Yes, that's a pretty good PC! After like a year of searching I GOT MY EPIC COMPUTER SPECS!!

1) Haha, I upgraded the graphics card in a 10 year old computer to a Geforce 8400 GS. It could play NFS games at moderate to high settings with almost no lag up until about games published around 2007. (It had a 3.4 GHz P4, and 3 GB of DDR2-533 RAM) That computer doesn't work anymore.I'm guessing you play RCT2? Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9150e Quad-core

2) I've heard of RCT2 but I don't play it. I do sometimes play Lego Racers 2 which is from 2001.
3) Other than the graphics card, that computer isn't bad!

It's pretty old, but the only use I could see it as is an upgrade for an old computer. The oldest ones on the market now are the 7000-9000 series graphics cards. Then there are the 100-900 series GPU's. The latest ones are 900 series although those are a bit overkill. I have a high end 700 series GPU and it works great!

I was thinking of replacing the graphics card in my 2009 computer, which was a GeForce 6150 SE. I don't play Call of Duty or anything like that on my computer. (I'm mostly a console gamer) I just need something to play some more recent games. Is the Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT very good

A GPU from the GTX 600 or 700 series would be perfect for you, then. Look for a GPU that has GDDR5 though, not GDDR3. GDDR3 is becoming obsolete. Also, you will probably want about 1 or 2 GB of video RAM.

My family's desktop is almost 10 years old. It has gone through a couple of upgrades such as RAM (max 2GB) and Windows 7 (it came with XP SP2). It was really slow running Windows 7 using the onboard graphics, so we put in a GeForce 6200 AGP card a few years ago. It is a terrible card for gaming. It has no fan, just a heatsink, it overheats in summer and sometimes the computer won't boot or even POST when turned on. We could get a PCI slot fan but it probably isn't worth upgrading any more. I haven't got a screenshot of the WEI score. Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9150e Quad-core

The plastic clip holding the back panels broke so I cut a carpenter's pencil and it fits perfectly. Photo

The windows eexperience index isn't the best for proving how good your computer is. #Benchmarks ftw I forgot to post my Windows Experience Index:
