Why not a scratch beach
So hi I had this idea about scratch but first before I dig to deep I want you to know why I did this post in the first place. You know how scratch has a welcoming committee and also scratch camp. Since I've been thinking of something fun, big, exciting, and something that most people like doing on a day off. Relaxing and going to the beach maybe if I combine them and you get beach. And I think you know where I'm going with this a Scratch Beach. Yes I know what you're thinking why a beach? Not a big fan of beaches got you covered a quiet place but who likes that. So that's why a beach. But I not just thinking of any old beach one with… Lifeguard, updates, lifeguard towers, anoucements, summer updates a place where every one of the scratchers can have fun for one day or more. But what I just want is scratch to be a friendly community wich it is but I want scratchers to have fun so yes a beach.

Why not a scratch beach
a real beach? do you know how much that would cost? they'd have to get into contact with governments/land-developers to buy a beach, then spend at least £100,000 a year paying the lifeguards, along with finding the lifeguards in the first place, just for a beach ran for a kids website which most of Scratch's demographic (kids) won't be able to go to, as if it is in the US, you'll have to convince your parents to drive for hours to go to a beach. not only that, but only 35% of scratch's users are in the US, along with about 40% in the whole of North America.
also don't forget that Scratch Foundation is a not-for-profit charity, meaning the only way they could maybe do it is by collaborating with National Trust in the UK, which I doubt would happen as it would lose money for both charities.

Why not a scratch beach
He's suggesting a virtual beach, in the form of a scratch studio, like scratch camp.
