( 303 words ~ i'm sorry this is a bit long, i wanted to provide as much context for the start as possible so you had a strong foundation lol )
I watched the subway cars rush past me faster than the wind ever had, wishing my hair would get caught up in the breeze rather than laying plainly on my shoulders.
Everything felt too complex, like a network of subway lines making up one huge city. I was never going to find myself, I knew. If people kept questioning everything I said, if nobody ever bothered to listen, I would blend into the blurry photos of the past one day and never in my wildest dreams would I be remembered. It hurt to know, and the only option seemed to be rushing home and crawling into a comfortable chair to doodle mindlessly in my sketchbook. And as soon as that subway stopped rushing and the doors creaked open, I found myself rushing.
The humid air didn’t blow my hair around at all, but I didn’t care as I searched for the familiar apartment building, trying to push out the thought that my only motivation was doing nothing. My heart was pounding in my head and my feet against the ground, and if I hadn’t been so busy trying to keep my mind focused it wouldn’t have turned unfocused and I wouldn’t have crashed into that strangely dressed woman, standing in front of my apartment building with an intricate hairstyle, a firm expression, and a flowing gown.
“Uh… sorry, uh, I should’ve looked,” I mumbled, trying to get away from the woman so I didn’t get caught in a lecture.
“You need not apologize,” she declared, her voice like a string that pulled me back to face her. “Forgive me, young lady, but could you assist me in finding my bearings in this peculiar new place? I am not certain of how I got here, and I do not belong to the year 2023.”

(sorry, mine is ridiculously long too. I just started and kept going) 278 words, 104 for the extra challenge
Her words slipped into my brain like a fly in honey, slow and uncomfortable. I blinked, trying to gather my words, but all I got out was an eloquent, “Huh?”
“My sincere apologies,” she said, dipping into a curtsey, “Allow me to rephrase, My name is Lady Mayfair and I am afraid there had been some sort of terrible mistake, for I am not from this… fair land, but perhaps sometime behind it.”
“And… where’s that?” I said slowly, taking a step back. Out of all the not-conversations I’d had that day, this was the strangest, and my brain was doing a terrible job of processing.
“London,” she said, “To be precise, Fleet Street, 1818. I would be happy to disclose more information with a kind soul such as yourself, but I would prefer to do it in a more clandestine location, such as the inside of your abode.”
“You want to come into my apartment.” I translated, “You're saying you’re a time traveler and you want to come into my apartment.” I stood rooted to the spot, a figure of stone. An insane part of me wanted to laugh.
“If it’s not too much trouble, indeed I would. I will provide you with the details of the incident as well.”
I ran through the possibilities. This could be an elaborate con to rob my house. But part of me had always possessed an unending curiosity and if this ‘Lady Mayfair’ really was a time-traveler, I was desperate to know more
“If this is a con,” I mumbled, unlocking my door. “It’s the exactly the right thing to tempt me,”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Nothing. Come in.”
Total words - 581/700
We should probably wait for the third person now, because we're in a good position to finish.

( uhh so i kind of got carried away with it - this is 482 words )
'Lady Mayfair' followed me into my house as I analysed her closely. As she stepped in, she widened her eyes and pointed at a vital asset of my house. “I beg your pardon, but I must ask- what is that strange piece of metal hanging on your wall?”
I followed her gaze to the ginormous flat-screen television sitting rather grandly on a wall, next to antique clocks and fashionable pieces that I deduced must be from her era. “You mean a television?” I sighed as she nodded, her eyes filled with curiosity and begging to know more about the ‘piece of metal’.
I explained to her the needs and ‘wonders’ of television as she took it all in, not able to comprehend the diverse bits of information.
“Now,” I said, before she could ask me about anything else, “you told me that you would explain how you got here.”
She took a deep breath and started to tell me a long, wonderous tale.
“I come from the ravishing times of the 1818s when life is exquisite and quite pleasing to everyone. We were fairly optimistic and buoyant until something rather unpleasant overtook our great country- England.”
“It was an affair that my people called an ‘r- robot invasion’, I believe, and while I don't comprehend those problematic words, I, unfortunately, do understand that they are a threat to the world as we know it.”
“We discovered the formidable way that they were from the future, and as a result, our wise elders sent me to figure out what occurred in the grand destiny that led us to have this unfortunate fate. And so, they sent me here.
Yet, there was a malfunction that transpired. We have had a time machine for quite a long time, and have hidden it from the other countries. This time machine has passed through a lot of places - originating from India, passing through France, then Spain, Switzerland, Argentina, America, and finally, England.
There was an error when I stepped into that splendid mechanical machine. You may want us to tell you how we got that time machine, but I have no time to spare and all I can tell you is that the future sent it to us.”
She closed her eyes and continued her story.
“I went in the machine when something happened- the robots overtook our town. There was no time for any calculations or anything of that sort, and our elders just sent me through time, and I came here.” Lady Mayfair's voice broke as she spoke her last statement.
“My dear person, from whatever time or era you are in, my time is in great terror, would you take it in your concerns to help us?”
I slowly comprehended all the facts and nodded.
The invention of time machines could wait. Right now, I had to go into the past.

Putting the entire thing in one post for simplicity-
1061/700 words
Arli-
I watched the subway cars rush past me faster than the wind ever had, wishing my hair would get caught up in the breeze rather than laying plainly on my shoulders.
