Word War | 154 words

When the sun goes down in the evening, a new day is just beginning. The moon rises; the predators wake. All the nocturnal creatures start to play. The stars dance; the flowers open. The moon smiles. The animals swim, play, eat, drink. all while the diurnals are sleeping, while the cows snooze, the village slumbers, the dog yawns. The forest is awake. The plants converse, the animals talk. The magic happens. All while the diurnal sleep. While everyone is snoozing, the magic happens. Everything is alive. Alive. Alive. Everything bursts with color. The animals and plants party. Then. Then it all stops. It is the crack of dawn. The sun rises. The people wake. The market bustles. Nobody notices the remnants of last night. The day goes on as usual. But then, again, in the evening, when the sun drops, it starts again. Again. Again. Night after night. And nobody notices. Except. Except the

Bi-daily July 6 -

it came in a whisper
held in the wind
it came as i kissed her
and told her to listen

it was a day of dying stars
a day of dust and ash
it was a day of firsts and lasts
a day to say goodbye
to these old, broken hearts

there came a day when you left
and stars turned to black holes
into our world came death
breaking what had been whole

it was a day of dying stars
a day of dust and ash
it was a day of firsts and lasts
a day to say goodbye
to these old, broken hearts

you sucked me inside your emptiness
held in a cold embrace
all i wanted was to feel the heat of stars
but now i can’t escape

it was a day of dying stars
a day of dust and ash
it was a day of firsts and lasts
a day to say goodbye
to these old, broken hearts

it is a warm, green day
a spring day
a day to laugh
a day to stay
a day to hold my daughter’s hand
and watch for shooting stars

one darts across my horizon
diamond bright
i see her smile reflect its light

i don’t need to make a wish

it was a day of dying stars
a day of dust and ash
it was a day of firsts and lasts
a day to say goodbye
to these old, broken hearts

i tuck away your photograph
in this old dusty drawer
i don’t need it anymore
to remind me the smell of spring
the color green
or the taste of starlight on my cheeks

it is a day of dying stars
a day of dust and ash
it is a day of firsts and lasts
a day to say goodbye
to those old, broken hearts

for in this bright new world
i’ve collected starlight
of my own

I am just to lazy to this formatting and besides i don't know how to even do it

Dailies
July 6th/July 7th

I present to you SWC's very own theme song!

(Verse 1)
I'm at Scratch Writing Camp,
Where the writing is fun.
We're learning to make stories,
And our creativity's running free.

(Chorus)
SWC, SWC,
We're making stories today.
We're having word wars,
And our imaginations are soaring.

(Verse 2)
We're creating characters,
And setting the scenes.
We're writing dialogue,
And making our stories come to life.

(Chorus)
SWC, SWC,
We're making stories today.
We're using Scratch to code,
And our imaginations are soaring.

(Bridge)
We're learning new skills,
And making new friends.
We're having so much fun,
At Scratch Writing Camp.

(Chorus)
SWC, SWC,
We're making stories today.
And we'll have fun for the month,
And our imaginations are soaring.

(Outro)
We're leaving Scratch Writing Camp,
But our stories will live on.
We'll take our new skills,
And create even more amazing things.

Another song cause why not!

Raindrops
still a work in progress as i'm yet to put in a bridge, but this is my favourite out of all i've written

I really wanna go down in the rain, down, down in the rain.
There's something really magical about that feeling,
'Cause down in the rain, down, down in the rain.
No one really knows,
If they are teardrops or raindrops.

'Cause down in the rain, down, down in the rain.
I just can't get enough of that bloody adrenaline.
'Cause down in the rain, down, down in the rain.
I can feel my life dripping right out of me

So, I really wanna be down in the rain, down,
down in the rain.
There's something so intoxicating about those memories.

So tell me will you go and join me down in the rain,
down, down in the rain.
Let me know that I am not in forgotten,
Know I am never forgotten; know I am not left behind in the raindrops..

'Cause down in the rain, down in the rain
My life is just falling apart like the midnight raindrops
'Cause down in the rain, down, down in the rain
I'd might take my last breath
So here's my last goodbye.

Haha I’m literally so done with this song TwT
Belong

Looking around at these city lights
I still feel out of place at night
with the stars out
in this big ole world

And even though you’re here next to me
I still need room to breathe
and find out
where I belong

You know they say life’s a song
-can’t hear its sound
And they say you belong
-stop fooling around

So could you find the answers?
Find them for me?
Because I’ve been searchin’
and it's so hard to see
You know the world’s been turnin’
for so long
But maybe one day I’ll find out where I belong.

Feel like I’ve been ‘bout everywhere
Haven’t made us late I swear
But I can’t
remember

When was the last time I stayed a while?
Really tried to make you smile
I guess I’ve
been a little lost

You know they say life’s a song
-can’t hear its sound
And they say you belong
-stop fooling around

So could you find the answers?
Find them for me?
Because I’ve been searchin’
and it's so hard to see
You know the world’s been turnin’
for so long
But maybe one day I’ll find out where I belong.

You know the look in your eyes
is telling me
That I don’t need to go far to see
that I already have someone
in front of me
That’s ready to say:

Life’s a song
Listen for its sound
And you belong.
Stop fooling around

‘Cause you’ve got the answer
and it's plain to see
that you remind me
of what I need
so I’ll keep trying
with every deed

Yeah, I’ve found the answer
in front of me
Because I’ve been searching
hopelessly
But you’ve been by me
for so long
And all I needed was for you to say I belong
All I needed was you to belong

so this is a mess bahaha
based on smth im writing, but it won't make sense as its not in chronological story order ajdnskj

(verse 1)

I need to get out of this place
Broken hearts we can’t replace
Panic spills into the streets
Can’t let them know of these defeats
And I’m running from my life
And I hate this endless night
But I have nowhere else to go
I’m bottled up, wait ‘til I overflow
Panic spills into the streets
And I doubt it will ever cease

(chorus)

I fall into nothing when I look at you
Have to say goodbye but how am I supposed to? (supposed to?)
I say I’m fine, but it’s never true (never true, never true)
If I look up at the stars maybe I’ll see you
Are you looking for me too?

(verse 2)

But the pressures crashing down and I
Feel so tired I could cry
Tape plastic smiles to my face
Can’t let them know of these mistakes
And I only have one true friend
And I’m so sick of being pretend
Sometimes I think I’m not wanted
I’m perfect yet I’m still haunted
Tape plastic smiles to my face
But I have to save this place

(chorus)

I fall into nothing when I look at you
Have to say goodbye but how am I supposed to? (supposed to?)
I say I’m fine, but it’s never true (never true, never true)
If I look up at the stars maybe I’ll see you
Are you looking for me too?

(bridge)

What about the memories
And what is this worth?
If you hate this place so much
Why are you feeling hurt?
You want to leave
You want to stay
You want to leave
You want to stay

(outro/chorus)

I fall into nothing when I look at you (i say i’m fine, but it’s never true)
Have to say goodbye but how am I supposed to? (if i look up at the stars maybe i’ll see you)
I fall into nothing when I look at you (Are you looking for me too?)
Have to say goodbye but how am I supposed to? (you want to leave)
I say I’m fine but it’s never true (you want to stay)
If I look up at the stars maybe I’ll see you (what do you want?)
Are you looking for me too? (welcome to the end)

Have you fallen so hard you’ve given up the climb?
Trying to hide your bruises
Are you grappling with gravity but it’s winning every time?
Like the least perfect always loses

You’ve tried on your own, but it never works
Just another trouble that’s always lurking
Trying to survive
When you’re barely alive
Why does life always seem to hurt?

If you’re always falling down
And there’s no turning around
Oh, you know you’re not alone
If it’s hard to start again
And you’re trying to take the pain
Don’t let it cut right through to the bone
Cause there are people on your side
Yeah, there are people on your side

If you’ve fallen so hard it’s tough to restart
You can keep pushing on
If everyone feels like a world apart
Know you’re not alone

I know a friend that you can lean onto
She knows a friend who can always help you
You can get through life
With someone on your side
Always being your perfect crew

If you’re always falling down
And there’s no turning around
Oh, you know you’re not alone
If it’s hard to start again
And you’re trying to take the pain
Don’t let it cut right through to the bone
Cause there are people on your side
Yeah, there are people on your side

It’s never too late to start again
It’s never too late to find a friend
It’s never too late to make amends
It’s never too late
It’s never too late
It’s never too late to start again
It’s never too late to find a friend
It’s never too late to make amends
It’s never too late
It’s never too late

If you’re always falling down
And there’s no turning around
Oh, you know you’re not alone
If it’s hard to start again
And you’re trying to take the pain
Don’t let it cut right through to the bone
Cause there are people on your side
Yeah, there are people on your side

It’s never too late to hit rewind
It’s never too late to stay alive
It’s never too late, yeah you will find
It’s never too late
It’s never too late

July 6th-7th Bidaily (319 Words) Old Memories:

(Verse 1)
Long, far, all the way, long ago
I find myself as a small child going
Free, happy little loving girl
I see, over there, that’s what I now know.

(Verse 2)
My memories clouding my way,
But I can’t release them,
But I must move on,
They are a gem.
I can’t see with my eyes,
I can’t see, can’t see, oh

(Pre-chorus)
But I have to release,
Those old memories
To see, to see
Clearly, ahead of me
But they, of my life, it is everything,
If I release, I will have nothing.

(Chorus)
Old memories from the long past,
They are not letting me go seeing
The world so vast,
But they are, they are
Who I am.
And if I move on,
Then who will I go and
Become? It won’t, it won’t
Be me no more.
Because the past
Is who I am, me before.

(Verse 3)
I can’t see who I will be
If I am not
Not my past self.
Who will be me,
When I leave the thing that’s my life,
My childhood memories?

(Pre-chorus)
But I have to release,
Those old memories
To see, to see
Clearly, ahead of me
But they, of my life, it is everything.

(Chorus)
Old memories from the long past,
They are not letting me go seeing
The world so vast,
But they are, they are
Who I am.
And if I move on,
Then who will I see, then?

(Chorus)
Old memories from the long past,
They block me from doing
And they make me pass,
But they are, they are
Who I am.
And if I move on,
Then who will I go and
Become? It won’t, it won’t
Be me no more.
Because the past
Is who I am, me before.

(Outro)
Long, a long time ago
A free, happy loving girl
That is my life, that is who I am.

Daily 6: mister moon and lady sun (309 words)

does the moon ever get lonely
sitting in the sky
I thought I was your one and only
I guess that was a lie
dancing in the tall grass
starlight in our hair
promises made of glass
there’s magic in the air

shattered
breath stolen away
shattered
when I lost the messed up game we used to play
now
I find solace in the moonlight
I wonder how
You linger just out of sight

we are two lonely people
the moon and I
just wondering why
just wondering why
it could never be you and me
alone, just us, carefree
light and dark can’t be together
that’s what they teach
mister moon and lady sun

your eyes sparkled like glitter
smile shone like the stars
but your anger was bitter
and your words left scars
I was so naive
to fall for your everything
the lies you’d weave
the songs you’d sing

shattered
breath stolen away
shattered
when I lost the messed up game we used to play
now
I find solace in the moonlight
I wonder how
You linger just out of sight

we are two lonely people
the moon and I
just wondering why
just wondering why
it could never be you and me
alone, just us, carefree
light and dark can’t be together
that’s what they teach
mister moon and lady sun

it sucks to know that you cared enough to tell me
but not enough to tell her no
now I know how it feels
when the moon sees the sun rise
always separated, so close but so far
mister moon and lady sun

we are two lonely people
the moon and I
just wondering why
just wondering why
it could never be you and me
alone, just us, carefree
light and dark can’t be together
that’s what they teach

Weekly #1

Part One:

Alone on an island in the middle of an overcast sea, a tree spreads wide its branches, bearing mysterious fruit. A single fruit ripens, hanging low, something blue hidden inside: an egg. Through the water, someone comes, rowing by his own might. He wears a hat which darkly shadows his eyes as he strains against the tide. Reaching the island, he finds all the fruits suitable, and pulls out a scythe.
It is time to go.
Birds fly overhead as, satisfied, he heads back. Back, at more leisurely a pace, across the sea, identical fruit now stacked up in the back of the little rowboat.
Later, the man sits on a blanket spread out in the street; his own little island. Before him lay the fruits. A woman walks up, hand in hand with an excited daughter, who’s body hangs, separate, above her legs, identical to the other children rushing behind her in the street.
The woman lifts up one of the fruits, holding it by the outer cage and examining the egg within. The daughter jumps up to get a closer look. Money passes hands.
Now the woman helps the girl, placing the cage where the emptiness between her shoulders and legs lies. The girl plays with another boy, who has an identical cage and egg.
Later, the girl studies herself in the mirror.
The egg has been replaced by a small, blue bird.
As she walks hand in hand with a boy, who’s hair is the same straw-yellow as the boy she played with before, both their birds begin to sing.
The girl grows—has a child—grows old.
Along with her, the bird grows.
Finally, one starry night, the woman takes the bird out of the cage.
She lifts it out, clutching to her wrist.
Singing one note, it takes off.

Part Two:
characters: Mistborn Era 2

A steaming mug of choc landed on the table.
Marasi jerked up. She’d been taking an impromptu nap, and her cheek tingled from where her notebook’s edge had dug into it.
Yawning and rubbing her cheek, Marasi looked up at Allik.
Mask down, he still somehow managed to look warm, welcoming, excited. Like you could read a puppy by his wagging tail. Allik bounced forward, mittened fingers grasping a tray full of several pale brown disks that smelled delicious.
“Ooh!” Marasi grinned, pulling the mug of choc towards her so Allik could set down the platter.
She took a sip, the warm, sweet liquid tasting like home, though she’d had it for the first time little more than two years ago.
“What are these?” she asked, leaning forward to drink in the new aroma. Allik had taken to baking whenever he visited, so Marasi had already eaten several Southern dishes.
“Cookies, with choc inside,” Allik explained.
She raised her eyebrows. Choc . . . inside? Marasi noted several dark patches in the cookies that did look rather like melted chocolate.
Eagerly, she picked one up. It was still warm, and wilted a little in her hand. As she took a bite, she let out an involuntary groan of pleasure.
He flipped up his mash to reveal a toothy grin. “Good, yah?”
“Rusts, Allik, these are amazing! I still don’t understand how you make half the things you do,” Marasi said between bites, then helped herself to a second.
“These, my grandmother taught me,” Allik replied, taking a cookie of his own.
“Yah?” Marasi said, wiping a bit of melted chocolate from her lip.
“Yah,” Allik agreed, lowering his mask to chew. “But since you have no Southern grandmother, I must take the responsibility upon myself.”
“Mm.” Marasi finished her second cookie and took a sip of choc. “Thank you.”
Allik nodded, and for a while they sat there in silence. The cookie, along with his presence, filled Marasi with warmth, like a fire fighting the winter’s chill.
Unconsciously, Marasi’s eyes drifted down towards her notes. They came from interviews, broadsheets, whatever she could find that might contain a lead. While they weren’t as organized as Steris might have kept them, they made sense to Marasi.
And yet, she couldn’t seem to solve the case.
Allik shoved his mask up, revealing worried eyes and a few rumpled strands of hair that protested the constant treatment. “A hard one, yah?”
Marasi nodded. “And I still have to file a report for what I’ve done today—not to mention a request for more bendalloy. Wayne used up all the constabulary issued him for this month.”
That earned her an eyebrow raise. “It seems Wayne should do that, yah?”
Grunting, Marasi crossed her arms over the table. “Unfortunately, getting Wayne to file paperwork is harder than doing it myself.”
Allik slid his mask down. “Makes sense,” he admitted.
Marasi sighed and glanced at the clock. It was late. With electric lighting, she would still be able to work, but half the time Marasi would have rather had the excuse.
“Take another one,” Allik said as he stood and picked up the cookies. No “yah.” This wasn’t even masquerading as a question.
Marasi found herself following the order.
To be honest . . . the cookie helped. As did the quiet melody of Allik humming as he cleaned up the kitchen. And even after the cookie—and the choc—was gone, Marasi felt a warmth in her stomach, a blaze that pushed her on until the sky turned midnight dark.

Part Three:

Horatio could not stand the sight of flowers.
Still, he brought a new bundle of daisies, not the richest of flowers, but beautiful in their own way, to Hamlet and Ophelia’s graves each day. It was nothing compared with the beautiful, colorful wreaths that adorned the bleak, marble tombstones. Nonetheless, he hoped it would have been worth something to them, to know he cared.
He removed the old, wilting flowers each day and replaced them with new life. As though hoping, foolishly, that it would somehow make things better.
Flowers were frail. Transient.
They grew, and they were lovely, but all too soon they died.
Just like his friends.
Horatio laid the daisies on the dark, recently tilled earth.
It had been less than a week.
Perhaps his tears should have fallen, wet the earth of his best friend’s grave. Perhaps it would have been best to weep and be done with it. Sob his heart out, until he was done with grief and pain.
But no. Just then, all Horatio could stomach was anger. And daisies.
He hadn’t returned to the palace, though he hadn’t been seen as complicit in Hamlet’s rebellion.
Velvet and purple and gold. Riches.
They made him sick.
As did roses.
And water and tears and recently tilled earth.
Horatio walked over to Ophelia’s grave. It wasn’t far. Hamlet hadn’t been given a princely burial, and for that Horatio was grateful.
He glanced down at the small bouquet of daisies. Their white petals were already speckled with dirt. He wiped them off with his thumb, but as he did separated a small, white petal from its brethren. It drifted down into the mud.
Dark stained the pure, glistening petal. It sank down into wet earth, almost disappearing, like a single tear fading into nonexistence. As though it were never there in the first place.
Horatio stumbled back.
When will it be enough? He wondered. When will the universe see that I have suffered aplenty? How many more friends will die? How many more flowers will wither and fade? How many more riches will turn to dust? How long do I have to come here, hoping to make myself feel better? Torturing myself for the friends who’re already gone?
They won’t know. They won’t care that he brought them flowers.
Because they’re dead, dead, dead—
Horatio lifted his hand to his mouth, not even caring it was stained with dirt.
He choked back a sob, his throat and eyes burning.
It won’t do them any good.
Blinking back the tears, he ran away from the grave. Away from the flowers that were already darkened and limp with age. From petals that had been buried. And a friend he would never see again.
(456/400)

Part Four:
Far away, in a land where the sky burns yellow in the pale sun’s light and birds cry out in the voices of forgotten ancestors, there stands a tree. Alone on an island in the middle of an overcast sea, this tree spreads wide its branches, bearing mysterious fruit. Slowly, they grow and ripen, hanging out low over the water, something blue hidden inside: an egg, partly hidden by the bars of a black-wired cage. Before they drop on their own, however, a man comes across the sea, rowing by his own might. He wears a hat which darkly shadows his eyes as he strains against the tide. Reaching the island, he finds the fruits suitable and pulls out a scythe. With long, careful fingers and a soft smile, he harvests the fruit.
It is time to go.
Birds fly overhead as, satisfied, he heads back, at more leisurely a pace, across the sea, fruit now stacked up in the back of his little rowboat.
Later, the man sits on a blanket spread out in the street; his own little island. Before him lay the fruits. People walk by, darting after laughing children. A woman comes to the man, hand in hand with an excited daughter, whose body hangs, separated, above her legs. Like the children who rush around, heedless, behind them, she is empty.
The woman lifts up one of the fruits, holding it by the outer cage and examining the egg within. The daughter jumps up to get a closer look.
Money passes hands.
Now the woman helps the girl, placing the cage where the emptiness between her shoulders and legs lies.
Happily, the girl runs to play with a boy about her age, who also has a cage and egg inside of him. The girl grows up—side by side with, or perhaps because of, the cage within.
Soon enough, the egg has been replaced by a small, blue bird.
As she walks hand in hand with a boy, their birds begin to sing together. The two of them hum along to the lilting melody.
The girl grows—has a child—grows old.
And ever along with her, the bird grows, gaining in beauty as she does in wisdom and experience. New, curled feathers appear, adoring the bird’s tail.
Finally, one starry night, the bird is too large to fit within the confines of the cage. Wizened, head bowed, the now old woman unlocks the wire frame.
She lifts her soul out.
For one moment, it clutches painfully tight to her wrist.
Then, singing one forlorn note, it takes off, a lone burst of blue among bright stars.

(Verse 1)
In the depths of my uncertainty, I wandered all alone,
Lost in the shadows, a heart that felt like stone.
Searching for answers, a purpose to unfold,
I embarked on a journey, a story yet untold.

(Pre-Chorus)
Through the doubts and the fears, I found strength to carry on,
A flicker in my soul, a fire that had been gone.
I chased my dreams, embraced the unknown,
With every step, I found myself slowly being shown.

(Chorus)
I'm finding myself, breaking free from the chains,
Discovering the colors hidden in life's refrain.
In every twist and turn, a new chapter unfolds,
I'm finding myself, the story yet untold.

(Verse 2)
Through the mountains I climbed, and the rivers I crossed,
I faced my demons, no longer feeling lost.
Unveiling the layers, peeling back my disguise,
I stumbled upon the truth that lay within my eyes.

(Bridge)
In the silence of solitude, I found my inner voice,
Whispering guidance, offering me a choice.
With every setback, I grew a little more,
Learning to embrace the person I adore.

(Chorus)
I'm finding myself, breaking free from the chains,
Discovering the colors hidden in life's refrain.
In every twist and turn, a new chapter unfolds,
I'm finding myself, the story yet untold.

(Outro)
With newfound purpose, I'll walk this path with pride,
No longer lost, for the light is by my side.
I've found myself, and I'll embrace it with grace,
For this journey of self-discovery, I'll forever chase.

July 6th – Daily #6-7
385 words

Verse 1
Painful memories, no need to recall
The days that I felt so lost and alone
No sense of direction, a life in the fall
Yearning for something I can call my own

Lost and alone, I wander in the dark
Searching and straining, for a fresh start
No way around it, I've got to go deep
Down to the depths of my innermost keep

Pre-Chorus
I have to find myself, deep in my soul
I have to embrace all that I know
I have to trust the path that I take
As I learn who I am, and the mistakes I'll make

Chorus
Strugglin’ and searchin’, I’m finally finding myself
Ready for greater things, no time to dwell
This is my journey, I have the strength to succeed
I’m rising up, I’m finding myself

Verse 2
Today I finally see a way through the haze
My spirit is soaring, I’ll follow the clues
My heart is aflame and my mind ablaze
I’m ready for a life that’s so brand new

Voices around me, I've heard it all before
No one can tell me, where I'm headed or where to go
The only journey I can take is my own
Managing the trials, as best as I can, alone

Bridge
Time is running out, I must take flight
Nothing can stop me as I reach new heights
I am powered by my own hopeful thoughts
And with my newfound courage, I’ll find where I belong

I'm learning to turn inward, to try and discover
What I have to find, that'll help me recover
Fear and doubt will come, but I'll be strong and brave
I'm taking this journey to help me reclaim

Outro
Strugglin’ and searchin’, I’m finally finding myself
Ready for greater things, no time to dwell
This is my journey, I have the strength to succeed
I’m rising up, I’m finding myself

I look outside the window and see
Hundreds of flowers blooming ‘round me
But my head is too full
My mind gone all crazy
Hope it’s not true
But my mind says I’m lazy

I wanna
Stop and smell the flowers
Not fly from place to place
My inner child
Still full of wonder
I really miss my gaze

When I looked at the flowers
Clothed with sunbeams of light
Each petal
Joining to
Create a beautiful sight
I wanna run free, free, free
wanna fly, fly, fly
wanna go out and try
wanna smell and sigh
the flowers

My feet reach the door of a building that's white
The roof was adorned with green paint (that’s right)
I know that school is an opportunity
But I know where my heart longs to be

With the flowers
Wish I could run out and say
This is my happy place
But then I would be shamed

Cause this world
Hands me no bouquets
When I want to run out and smell the flowers
It says I must stay

I wanna run free, free, free
wanna fly, fly, fly
wanna go out and try
wanna smell and sigh
the flowers

I look out, I simply can’t resist
But I hear someone say
Don’t look out
You must stay
Inside is better anyway

I wanna
Stop and smell the flowers
Not fly from place to place
My inner child
Still full of wonder
I really miss my gaze

When I looked at the flowers
Clothed with sunbeams of light
Each petal
Joining to
Create a beautiful sight

Finally, I can
Stop and smell
The beautiful flowers
Each one beautiful, special in my sight

I wanna run free, free, free
wanna fly, fly, fly
wanna go out and try
wanna smell and sigh
the flowers

Name: Ava
Cabin: Lyric
Word count- 308/300
Topic: Make your original song!
Content: July 6th+7th Daily

LET'S GET IT

I was a little girl
when i had to face the world
So I didn't mind when you pried into my life.

“The world is cruel” You said to me
“But in my presence you're safe as can be.”
Little did I know your lies would hurt like a knife.

A knife A knife A knife.

I'm pulling a knife out of my back again
Better to rip of bandages than to dwell on them
Now I'm trying to erase every bit of your face
from my memory, my memory,
But before that
-pause-
I'm ready for revenge, honey.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
oh, oh, oh
revenge, honey

“Smile and wave don't you cry,”
“I dare you to cough one more time,”
I was a kid, but I wasn't dumb.

So I'd sit on the sidewalk
Drawing guns with my white chalk
Though I settled that I knife was the better one

A knife, A knife, A knife, A knife

I'm pulling a knife out of my back again
Better to rip of bandages than to dwell on them
Now I'm trying to remove every thing that you'd do
from my memory, my memory,
But before that
-pause-
I'm ready for revenge, honey.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
oh, oh, oh
revenge, honey

Wonder when you'll realize, That I left your window open one night
Or that I was that creak that you'd heard

Maybe you'll realize that the picture frame disappeared twice
Or that I left an extra knife in your cupboard

A knife A knife A knife

-pause-

A knife A knife

I'm pulling a knife out of my back again
Better to rip of bandages than to dwell on them
Now I'm trying to erase every bit of your face
from my memory, my memory,
But before that
-pause-
I'm ready for revenge, honey.

.

YOU KNOW I WANT THAT HOoOoOoOoooOME~
YOU KNOW YOU GOT THAT HOOoOooOOoOOOOoME~

Daily #6-7 (bi-daily)

Word count - 377
Cabin - Contemporary

Instrumentals - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/872709960/

Icarus

Verse-
Flying high and summer skies
Open world for us to soar
Taste of freedom, want some more
Secrets whispered
Wind dispersed
Feathered birds and burning air.
Just us without a care.

Pre chorus-
It’s just you and me
Flying free
Defying what is meant to be

Chorus -
Feathers, fire
Secrets, liar
Between you and me,
The world is our oyster
Against the demons and destroyers
Oops, that’s a spoiler-

Verse -
Crimson flags and golden words
Away from cages fly the birds
Splash of water, scorch of fire
Warmth of love, burning desire
To siren songs and dragon’s breath
It’s you and me to the death

Pre chorus-
It’s just you and me
Flying free
Defying what is meant to be

Chorus -
Feathers, fire
Secrets, liar
Between you and me,
The world is our oyster
The demons and destroyers
In our fantasy

Verse -
Broken chains, open skies
Running where the shadows lie
Flying free and burning fast
Smoke and mirrors, blood and grass
You know it can’t last
I’m sorry

Pre chorus-
It’s just you and me
Flying free
Defying what is meant to be

Chorus -
Feathers, fire
Secrets, liar
Between you and me,
The world is our oyster
I’m demon and destroyer
Of our fantasy

Verse -
Lonely mountain, stifling ground
Shadows swirling all around
Nothing is what is seems
Reality burns into dreams
Scales of balance, Death’s crow
Where did you go?

Pre chorus-
It’s just you and me
Flying free
Defying what is meant to be

Chorus -
Feathers, fire
Secrets, liar
Between you and me,
The world is our oyster
I’m demon and destroyer
Of our fantasy

Bridge -
White of canvas, gold of hair,
Hopes whispered, secrets shared
Friendship formed and fire wrought
Scavenged what the shadows brought
Cage of diamonds, throne of glass
Under wind let darkness pass
Rose of black, death’s prodigy
I set betrayal’s beast free
Waking the corruption’s heart
It’s all my fault

Pre chorus-
It’s just you and me
Flying free
Defying what is meant to be

Chorus -
Feathers, fire
Secrets, liar
Between you and me,
The world is our oyster
We’re demon and destroyer
In our fantasy

Chorus (repeat) -
Feathers, fire
Secrets, liar
Between you and me,
The world is our oyster
We’re demon and destroyer
In our fantasy

Notes -Well that was fun. It doesn’t really make sense though, but that’s what happens when you decide to write your song about two of your most complicated and weird characters. And I have an extra verse because I just couldn’t get to the word goal. Also ignore the fact that I have a ridiculously long bridge and that the chorus subtly changes and its just chaos

Word War
65 words, prompt “there's a lot you don't know about me” by
@TheBibliophile7

We where standing on the roof of the building. “Why won't you tell me what's going on?” he asked “You've never kept a secret from me!” “Yes I have,” I said to him, looking down at the city below “There's a lot you don't know about me, Taylor.” I turned and saw the look on his face, this was going to be hard to explain.

Cheshire Smiles

Verse 1
Somewhere in the middle of growing up felt my life was top notch
When I saw an old white rabbit with a pocket watch
He said to me time is running out and we gotta go quick
The world you knew is gonna burn up like a candle wick
Time to follow me and find out what you got in your soul
So I followed the white rabbit down into his rabbithole

Verse 2
Now I’m in a crazy world called Wonderland
Shattering everything I knew I just don’t understand
But who cares if I understand cause it all feels like a dream
So long to my old life because Wonderland’s supreme
But this dream’s just a nightmare something lurks behind closed eyes
Then I found you someone like me and it took me by surprise

pre-chorus
Cheshire smiles plastered everywhere but inside we’re all so lonely
Behind our teeth we hide screams and curses. We smile only

Chorus

Because there’s nothing else we can do and she’ll have our heads
Cause here were are in Wonderland, tearing apart reality’s threads
And the darkness it’s growing, it’s growing insane
And my mind it is screaming, screaming in pain
I don’t know how to do this cheshire smile anymore

Verse 3

Cause the jabberwocky is sinking its teeth into my throat/
And Alice she’s laughing at me and she’s starting to gloat/
And it’s all crazy in wonderland here could you help me out?/
I think you’re the only one who can hear me I don’t have to shout/
Cause in this mad mad world of wonderland we are just two lonely souls/
Lost in a crowd of nightmares and in my mind it’s stabbing holes

Verse 4

We were just trying to grow up now we’re stuck here in a nightmare
The colors are too bright and jagged teeth rip our dreams beyond repair
Greedy old walrus and the carpenter wanna lure us like oysters
Hold my hand tight don’t lose yourself to these imposters
I know it doesn’t make sense and you’re lonely in Wonderland
We’re scared and confused this is not what we had planned

Verse 5

In looking glass world I can hardly recognize our reflection
Why’d I go down that rabbit hole I think I went in the wrong direction
White rabbit why’d you bring me down here can I go to my old dream?
I wanna climb out of the rabbit hole and be free from the queen’s regime
I hear her screaming off with their heads and I think I’m losing my mind
Take me back to my old life somebody please hit rewind

Verse 6

Drink me, eat me, egos growing and compassion shrinking
In Wonderland everybody’s acting without thinking
And we’re all mad here in Wonderland feeling so lost and alone
Down in this rabbit hole it seems like nightmares are all we’ve ever known
Seems the only way to get by is grow your own jagged teeth
But I know we’ll tell each other to put the knife back in its sheath

Bridge
Oh beautiful wonderland but it’s all just fake I looked at you and asked what’s it all for?
Wonderland’s a kaleidoscope of horror and you’re the only thing that makes sense
Oh Zweisamkeit lonely souls together let’s create a defense
Oh Zweisamkeit help me out of wonderland

Outro: But while we’re in Wonderland let’s find a safe place to dream alone together

Silvi's thread

Poem: Sick

“ I cannot go to school today “, said the little Peggy Ann Mckay to her mother. “ I have the measles and the mumps, and a gash, a rash and purple bumps. My mouth is wet and my throat is dry. I'm also going blind in my right eye. My tonsils are as big as rocks! And I’ve counted sixteen chicken pox. Oh, and there’s one more, that’s seventeen! And don’t you think that my face looks green. And then my leg is cut, my eye is blue and, goodness, it might be instamatic flu! And I cough and I sneeze, then gasp and then I choke, and oh, I am sure that my left leg is broke! My hip hurts when I ever move my chin and I think that my belly button is caving in! And my back is wrenched and my ankle is sprained! My ‘pendix hurts each time it rains, and my nose is so cold, and my toes so numb, I have a silver in my thumb! My neck is stiff and my voice is weak, I can barely whisper when I speak. My tongue is filling up my mouth and I think my hair may be falling out! My elbow is bent, my spine ain't not straight, my temperature appears to be 108! My brain is shrunk and I cannot hear, there must be a hole inside my ear… I have a hangnail and my heart is - what? You say today is … is Saturday? G’bye, I’m going out to play!”
This is written by Shel Silverstein, so don’t give me credit for it, i had to rewrite it in prose and could only add articles.

sorry, this isn't my work, so don't add it, i just got confused

Don't Leave Me Alone
word count: 345
side note: currently working on background music for this song! stay tuned <3

One more step,
one more count,
that's all I need.

Waiting here, all alone,
where are you now?
And I'm left here.
In the darkness of this lonely world.
Covered by the shadows lurking near.

I've waited all this time.
For you to come.
Yeah, I've stood here all these years.
Hoping to see you one last time
before you go.

So baby don't leave me again,
come back this time.
I'm begging you, please listen now,
'cause it's the last thing I want,
from you.

I'm holding my hands out for you,
trying to catch you before you go again.
I just can't stop thinking about you,
so please, just, come back, this once,
ok?

Another day, another night,
and I'm left without your presence.
How long do I have to wait,
until you realize?

That I'm the one.
The one that's been here,
all this time.
Just open your eyes, and look up,
and you'll see that you're not alone.

I've waited all this time.
For you to come.
Yeah, I've stood here all these years.
Hoping to see you one more time
before you go.

So baby don't leave me again,
come back this time.
I'm begging you, please listen now,
'cause its last thing I want,
from you.

I'm holding my hands out for you,
trying to catch you before you go again.
I just can't stop thinking about you,
so please, just, come back, this once,
ok?

So just please come back,
don't leave me alone,
any more.

Yeah just, please come back,
into my arms,
and stay here, with me, this once.
Stay here, with me, this once.

I've waited all this time.
For you to come.
Yeah, I've stood here all these years.
Hoping to see you one more time
before you go.

So baby don't leave me again,
come back this time.
I'm begging you, please listen now,
'cause its last thing I want,
from you.

So please don't go,
(don't go, don't go)
I need you now
(right now, right now)

Please don't leave me alone.
