It's all satireI'm not leaving because there's a valid argument, I'm leaving because they are being extremely disruptive. Saying their opinion is ‘right’ and stuff.I think it's funny how we're talking about something totally relevant for once and someone (yanagi) is making valid arguments for once and now you leave Welp, I've had enough of stupid and unnecessary arguments

okay so the only issue is that it's a billion lionsdynamax and then rage powderbut you can't disable all one billion lions Alright guys, the way that 1 of every Pokémon could defeat 1 billion lions:
Amoonguss in the middle. It is surrounded by Pokémon that can use Explosion. Those exploders are surrounded by Pokémon with Protect. Almost every Pokémon can learn Protect.
Amoonguss uses Rage Powder, to lure the lions in. The field would have to be massive, I'm not sure there's a move that shrinks the opponent.
Lions try to get through the Protect mons and fail.
Exploders Dynamax (is that allowed) and use Explosion.
All lions die.
ez dub
Alternative method: disable the lions' Bite and then make them fight Shedinja. would be very funny.
Fight me, Yanagi.
Please don't I don't like fights that was a joke please do not fight me.
and also you can't use rage powder on a billion lions
that range is just unrealistic
a billion lions is basically the size of more than the entire world>
you have to consider that
your plan would work if you had a thousand of every pokemon
but you don't
you only have one
get multiple rage powderers
actually here's another strat
give em all the Dry Skin ability and then use Sunny Day
they'll never see it coming
see you're thinking on too small of a scale
think of it like this
is there even one pokemon
that could beat one thousand of another pokemon
maybe
okay so what about two thousand
probably not
cause that's double that>
but then what about a million
no way
that's ridiculous
so a lion is probably stronger than the weakest pokemon
so even if every pokemon is insanely smart and works together
there are literally just too many lions>
the same principle actually applies in real wars
did you know that germany was afraid to fight russia because they had about a hundred to germany's one
think about that
and germany was so much more advanced and powerful and militant and smarter>
but one hundred times them
destroys them
even a hundred times just in individuals who were barely armed>
a million times?
forget about it
there is
no way
a thousand pokemon could beat a billion lions>

there's no serious answer in this argument
i mean i'm going to insist i'm right because objectively i am>
but even then this is a dumb argument that there's no reason to have
and the thing is
pokemon are so weird and inconsistent in canon that it's hard to say what they can and can't do>
if somebody really likes pokemon or just doesn't really think about the numbers, they'll probably just argue pokemon could beat a billion lions

if you want a source confirming Yanagi right, then why isn't there a source confirming they're wrong? Answer: Because this is just entirely speculation, and an unimaginably nonsensical argument that has a statistically correct answer, but can't ever be truly confirmed, because Pokémon don't exist, and 1 billion lions is such an absurdly high number, that out of all the lions that have ever existed, there have probably never even been close to 100 million total.'i'm right because objectively i am.' - source?duhIt's all satireI'm not leaving because there's a valid argument, I'm leaving because they are being extremely disruptive. Honestly good on you. It's important to step away from a situation that makes you uncomfortable, and if this forum is making you uncomfortable, you should take a break for a while.it means i'm uncomfortable being here even though this franchise means so much to mewhat do you mean honestly i hate that it's come to this but i feel like i need to take a mental health break from this forum. wake me up when society has been rebuilt

i think it's frankly ridiculous to make the baseless claim that
anyway the ghost pokémon alone can win easily. first of all, i'd argue that a lion biting isn't the same as the pokémon move “bite”. it isn't elementally powered, it has no special properties, thus why would just biting suddenly make them able to hit ghosts. i don't think if a human tried to bite a gastly they'd be able to deal damage to it. and even if they could damage the ghosts, they couldn't kill them. you can't kill a ghost
i mean, really, what makes you think that? pokémon is a multi-media franchise with dozens of different iterations, and of those the games are probably the second-least realistic. if realism is the aim, you should probably look to the manga. stuff like power points are primarily a game-balancing feature, they're not meant to be completely literal. it should be no surprise that pokémon aren't killing each other in regular battles - most of the time it's just for sport, so who's to say they're not holding back? the game mechanics are all we can judge pokemon by

Imma be the Devil's Advocate here and agree with Yanagi.
However, I really don't care about this argument enough to actually care about what anybody else thinks.
The only reason I agree with Yanagi is because of statistics in the video games, real life, and mathematics.
