Hi everyone, a few weeks ago I noticed my popular studio does not show up in search anymore when I type in the same exact keyword. Why is this? Was it flagged NFE? If so, why? I dont see how my studio would be rated NFE, and if this the case is there any way to undo it?

Which studio was not popping up? This can at least help me know why.

I’m not sure if the search feature works the same way with studios than it works with projects, but the whole search and explore pages are completely stuck right now so this probably has something to do with the fact that your studios does not show up.

Also since January, titles do not update in search, so if you changed the name it will not show up when searching the new name and it will only show up when searching the old name. At least this is what have happening with projects so it’s possible the same is happening with studios.

It is also possible it got marked as NFE

Ah. I had seen it update in later months. And just so you know search is not 100% like trending so this is not really much of the case. It only takes some time and not as long as a frozen trending page.

Also you could be correct but this depends. I looked up scratchcat and got this which is not really that old. But my studio called “too many people are curators lol” was still called “toomany people are curators lol” which did not update.
But my famous followers studio did update to “to-do list”

What has not been working since January is name change. So if a game was call “scratch cat” when it was shared, it would show up when searching “scratch cat” but if, after the project was shared, the name was then changed to “scratch dog” the project would not show up when searching the new name and it would stay like this indefinitely. So since January the program responsible of updating name changes has not been working, but as of a few days ago, the whole indexer is down so no new projects is added on search. But it’s possible that this is only happening to projects and not studios.

I have no idea why it would get flagged NFE. The studio description is not inappropriate or scary at all, and I've seen similar studios like GWDFI and Vent studios who still come up in the search results? When I type in keywords like “sister” my studio is nowhere to be found anymore. It used to work, but now it does not.

That is an interesting observation. I've never changed my studio's name, although I have deleted and re-added the same letters if I deleted a word by mistake. I'm not sure if typing and retyping the same title would trigger that glitch :-)

Studios can be marked NFE for having arguments or drama. If any of that has happened there then that could be the reason.

Are you sure that's true? The Debate Club studio, for example, has had a lot of arguments but it's the first thing that comes up in search. I have seen studios with a lot of drama on them but haven't been taken down because the studio description is fine. Similarly, I have witnessed arguments and drama on GWDFI at a massive scale. There are no arguments on my studio, at least none that I can recall (I'm very proud of keeping it toxic-free). It is mostly just venting or chatting, but nothing too intense for younger people. I don't know how the Scratch Team can decipher between drama and just venting. I mean, we have tons of vent /hangout studios, and they come up in search just fine?
