Importing files to scratch
Now i've been really happy with scratch 3.0 and it's great, but when i'm working on a project sometimes I run out of storage on my computer with all the gifs and audio files i download. So i'm just saying if scratch makes another version sometime soon, try considering adding where you can import files from dropbox, cloud or google drive to scratch for projects because it would make it a lot easier without running out of storage space!
(Btw i'm using a chromebook so they have terrible storage space like only 7 to 10G lol)

Importing files to scratch
You can do this already.
Import the file into a Scratch Project
In the editor, look at the bottom left.
Click on Backpack
Go to the section where the file is in the Editor
Click and drag the file thumbnail to the Backpack
The Backpack should turn blue, and you should see the object inside.

Scratch's servers are already overloading. I don't think this would help with that at all.

Importing files to scratch
This doesn’t have anything to do with Scratch servers, they want it to be possible to import files from things like Google Drive. Scratch's servers are already overloading. I don't think this would help with that at all.

I'm pretty sure Google Drive and Dropbox do not comply with COPPA unless users sign up for their respective Educational plans
