I don't think it's “pretty easy” it's just possible given enough time. It's still easy to impersonate people.

Instead of changing the I to whatever the hell ɪ is, maybe we should change the lowercase L to something like the ɭ character, it fixes the same problem while also fitting in with the rest of the font (mostly, you have to make a few adjustments to the ɭ)

For example:

Will_Wam turns into Wiɭɭ_Wam
Paddle2See into Paddɭe2See

Yes, I agree, it’s better to change the l to the classic handwriting l that fits with the font. Support for changing the l, no support for changing the I.

Yeah, no. I severely dislike this idea of having one letter be a different font from everything else. I cannot STAND the idea of that. It just looks so… wrong.

Support! This can be used to stop impersonators and others who try to confuse people as currently the upper case I is wider than the lower case l

It'd break tons of usernames, other than looking unnatural

As a solution I suggest a little glyph, near people's usernames that contain either a lowercase L or an uppercase i, that after hovering alerts that the username contains such characters

No support. This just feels out of place when used in a username. The best solution is to report the user that impersonates the actual user by looking at the “L” and “I”.

I am pretty sure Scratch uses “Arial” as their font, and it is impossible to change the letters of a font through any coding language.

So if they want to avoid confusion like this, they'll have to change their main font, which takes a lot of time to consider, which, unfortunately, the ST does not have.

For Windows + Google Chrome it is Arial, for Mac OS + Chrome the font is Helvetica. It all depends on your default browser font.

this is a problem with the font scratch uses but making a custom font based on the current one shouldn't be hard but might ruin current usernames that use this trick
