I am trying to do a project for school and the last part i need to add is the sound. I have picked out a song and even have it in my itunes library. When I try to import the song into scratch it says it can not import audio. I even tried dragging the song onto my desk top before trying to import. I would just download the visual and add the sound in iMovie, but scratch can only export 1 min of visual and my project is 1 min and 34 some odd seconds. Should I just export it twice? Is there a way I should formate the music to downloaded it to scratch, or something else. This project I am working on is due the 22 of may.

Here is what I do for music:

Go to youtube, and find a good version of the music you want. Then go to an mp4 to mp3, such as fltv. Put in the link and download it. Make sure it downloads to your desktop, or a folder you have. Next, go to Scratch sounds, and press the import button, and select the mp3 file. THE LONGER THE MUSIC THE LONGER IT WILL TAKE TO IMPORT! Hope this helps!

If you got the song from iTunes, it is probably in the Apple sound file format. Go back to iTunes and get the song again, but this time in the mp3 format. Choose medium quality, not high quality.

If you want to record more than 1 minute of a project as video, just break the project up into chunks that are each 1 minute long and combine them in iMovie or an Adobe product.

Maybe the file size is too large or it is in the wrong format.

try deleting it and reinstalling it?

Hi there, I try to upload music on to scratch but when I click the upload button, it doesn't do anything. I tried to stop the project and reload the page to see if that would help but it didn't do anything. I look on finder and it says ‘.wav’ after it. What can I do?

Well do a mp3 file, if you have the mp3 file in your computer, then go to sounds on whatever sprite/backdrop, then click upload audio, then find the mp3 file you have just got then import it in, tell me if that works but incase anyone here who dosent know how to make it so the sound plays here is the script:

when green flag clicked
play sound [blah blah v] until done
