Pokémon Games on Scratch
Hi all, not sure if you all know me, I’m @ProfessorKuiki. I have a question - I am making a Pokémon game (Pokémon Sprint and Soar) and know that there have been copyrighted games made before, and I want to get around this. I would give credit to Nintendo, Pokémon Company etc, anything else I would need to do or would this not be allowed by Nintendo? Any responses would be appreciated!

I think it would be allowed as long as you give credit. (And besides, i dont think nintendo spends time looking for random pokemon games on scratch to sue)

Usually, I wouldn't worry about copyright on Scratch. Technically copyright holders could take stuff down from Scratch if it infringes on their copyright, but it rarely happens since Scratch is an educational coding website, where nobody is really profiting. Be sure to give credit for any thing you use though.

Nintendo has stopped being a sleep paralysis demon about copyright, so your projects should be safe as long as you credit any Pokemon sprites you use

Hi all, thanks for the replies, this has confirmed what I had thought, but just wanted to double check, as to not get in any legal trouble. Thanks for helping!
