From trending to absolutely nothing!

Hello!

Yesterday, my project that was 8th on trending games. But suddenly, it disappeared from the trending page.

Even my brand new game that I've posted yesterday (that has around 400 views) is showing up, and that project (with over 70k views) isn't showing up on the trending page.

How did it happen?

Will it show up on the trending page again?

If the answer to the question above is yes, when will it show up on the trending page again?

Seems like you unshared it and reshared it which may have messed up its position on the trending page.

Probably with how many people are abusing the tag exploits (and it’s unfair to thise who don’t want to cheat to get recognition).

This is exactly what happened.

The only time Scratch calculates how popular a project is is when the project is first shared and when it is reshared. Your project was on trending for a while but your project’s trending score never changed during this whole time even though It should have been decreasing. When you reshared your project yesterday, this made Scratch recalculate how trending your project really was and because it was shared a while ago, it changed its trending score to a way lower one. I really recommend reading this post which might help you understand what happened: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/654013/?page=6#post-7037211

So your project stayed on trending for a longer period than it should have if the reshare glitch was not a thing and now that your project’s trending score is updated, your project won’t come back in trending.
