those are good Ideas but I feel as though removing it would be more convienent

As I read the OP I think the x button or wait until sometime is the best ones since I could just click and move on OR with the waiting one I could wait a few seconds and boom! already gone. They seem like a good workaround instead of removing them at all. Maybe if they had both of them that would be even better since I could click it and wait!

Remove the pop-up entirely

Just press the button that will be labeled "switch to small stage, then press the green flag and then go to normal size!
simple way to get out of it. It is sometimes annoying for chromebooks
