WARRIOR CATS- THE GENETICS PROBLEM
Cloudtail has blue eyes and he's not deaf.
Right! What's up with that?
He's has kittypet blood to make him stronger! Jk or he's just one of those rare cases where it doesn't happen to him.Cloudtail has blue eyes and he's not deaf.
Right! What's up with that?
Guys, not all white cats with blue eyes are deaf. 65% to 80% of weight cats with blue eyes are deaf, NOT 100%. He’s just that 35% to 20% of white cats with blue eyes that aren’t deaf. It’s really not that uncommon.

We're aware and we know it's possible.Cloudtail has blue eyes and he's not deaf.

It's just extremely unlikely how many white cats with blue eyes weren't deaf. We had Snowkit and then that one other kit who got mentioned a total of one time ever.

Wait wait wait hold up how do we know it's 65% to 80% but we don't know the specific percent and in what world does having a different eye color make you have a impairment (unless there's some explanation for it or something)That's very true. We're aware and we know it's possible.Cloudtail has blue eyes and he's not deaf.

I mean I don't know anything about the series but that seems a little fishy to me

I know I'm late, but male Calico cats aren't impossible, just EXTREMELY rare. So unless it doesn't mention gene mutation it's wrong.

I found this:
“upwards of 65 to 85 percent of all-white cats with both eyes blue are deaf. Some of these cats are deaf in only one ear.”
So it means that they might not be completely deaf

Bro, it's called chromosomes.
Also, albinism, especially ocular albinism. It's more common in men than women. It can affect vision.

LionBlaze is ok I guess Where does the golden pelt come from?

Yeah, that'd be I good explanition. I think Erin Hunter just wanted to make a bigger variety of what the cats looked like. So there wouldn't be to many mix ups of supporting character cats, and so their looks could sometimes match their personality.

WARRIOR CATS- THE GENETICS PROBLEM
I don't mind that Warriors doesn't follow accurate cat genetics. I mean, these are cats that worship starry warrior ancestors, are able to shrug/cry from grief (real cats cry from irritation and health conditions), heal using herbs, and there's that soul posession stuff with Cinderpelt. It would be cool if they were more serious about genetic results (like the fact that male cats inherit their colors from their MOTHERS due to the X chromosome, meaning that Brambleclaw should look like Goldenflower and not a dark tabby), but they mostly do what seems the most dramatic/fitting to the story. I only wish that the Erins made less gray cats with blue eyes though. There are way too many gray cats in the Clans.

In my opinion, when I see toms as calicos/tortoiseshells, it doesn`t feel right. According to “Cat Genetics” about 95% of calico/tortoiseshell cats are female! I also can`t exactly imagine toms as tortoiseshells. It doesn`t feel right. Toms should at least be half tortoiseshell, half another breed, but not all tortoiseshell.
there are 26 tortoiseshell toms in warriors
