Some Scratchers are children, and some of them don't know how to use photoshop or any other drawing programs, or even scratch's vector and bitmap editor. If you try to change your pfp there will be 2 options: “Upload from computer” or “Make a PFP with our PFP Editor”. This will be easier for people that isnt accostumed to drawing programs or the scratch's costume/backdrop editor.

support, you CAN save your projects as images but of course, as you said,
Some Scratchers are children, and some of them don't know how to use photoshop or any other drawing programs, or even scratch's vector and bitmap editor.so this would be good

Yeah no support, just make a pfp in the vector (or bitmap) editor and either
- download the vector normally, then convert to png (very easy)
- convert to bitmap to save as png (also very easy)
though you can just save it if you made it i bitmap
- download the vector normally, then convert to png (very easy)
- convert to bitmap to save as png (also very easy)
though you can just save it if you made it i bitmap

But how do you use it to edit a pfp????
You can’t export your pfp as an image, and you can’t export a costume as an image without using file name shenanigans, and a lot of schools don’t even let you download files, as well as the current version of iOS that schools use having absolutely no way to change file extensions
So it’s basically impossible to do it

It's not quite your suggestion, but I always thought it would be nice to have a selection of default profile pictures to choose from. Maybe some are the Scratch mascots, and others are like … fruit, or something? It would give a little more variety to those who don't know how to use a paint editor very well.

If the backpack is in fact involved on this, I will support this even more.

I don't think it's a duplicate unless the topic discusses a pfp editor as well.https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/107098/It's not quite your suggestion, but I always thought it would be nice to have a selection of default profile pictures to choose from. Support, it would be useful to not have to use an app I barely understand to get the right picture, and it’s pretty hard to get it exactly 500x500 and the right file size
