When BridgerFish_ sees that BridgerFish is in the channel, it assumes that BridgerFish is functional and is bridging messages from the TBGC to the channel. As a result, BridgerFish_ goes one-way and only bridges messages sent from the channel. The solution: disable the safeguards against bridge interference.

If I'm interpreting that scenario right, that's called bridge interference. Cases of two online instances of BridgerFish have occasionally happened, but the incidents have been few and far between. Personally, I think it's worth the risk to disable the safeguards against bridge interference. Plus, if bridge interference does happen, the TBGC's spam protection system will kick in & stop the interference.
