2002 Scratch logo (uncropped)
I found this image from this archive
A cropped version has been found but when I downloaded it the thumbnail looked different.

It is from an official MIT website

I don't think this is a logo of this Scratch. Where did you find that?

Look at the site, though. It's the actual logo at the time.

Which part did you download the logo from? The only image I can see isn't at all identical to what you're saying is there.

It looks like an extended/zoomed with AI version of the tiny photo that is blue and yellow.

The uncropped image is inside the cropped JPG file
Download the original image from wayback machine and put it in this tool

this archive from this topicHuh. Interesting the Scratch team explicitly acknowledges the influence of Logo (and Lego Mindstorms(?) however they were programmed, interestingly referred to as LEGO/Logo)

I've never owned any Mindstorms, but wait. Apparently there was something actually called “Lego/Logo” well before Mindstorms. From the Mindstorms Wikipedia article, logoblocks?this archive from this topicHuh. Interesting the Scratch team explicitly acknowledges the influence of Logo (and Lego Mindstorms(?) however they were programmed, interestingly referred to as LEGO/Logo)
Lego/Logo, lego tc Logo (1985)mres is one of the authors of the paper cited as [6]. :hmm: Logo has some stuff in common with Scratch still, but it's text-based of course. Mindstorms began 11 years after this project.
The first experiments of combining Lego and the Logo programming language was called Lego/Logo and it started in 1985.[6] … Lego/Logo would later be commercialized by the Lego group Lego tc Logo.[5]: 3
I haven't found a lot about Logo Blocks which you've mentioned, although later Wikipedia says about the original Mindstorms,
The programming language of the product was developed with help from members of the MIT Media lab. Lego decided to use a Visual programming language for Mindstorms, inspired by the LOGOBlocks language previously used with programmable brick experiments, in order to make the product accessible to children who might be unfamiliar with programming.[3]: 29and it still has a page on the Media Lab website. The only person that page mentions is Mitch Resnick.
So it's interesting the Scratch website said Lego/Logo rather than Logo Blocks considering that the Media Lab developed both, and the latter was more recent and actually a graphical, block-based language like Scratch (probably one of the very first if not THE very first).
Edit: Maybe because Logo Blocks wasn't publicly released, but Scratch would eventually be.

I'm wondering more about the background of Scratch than early versions.
