Scratch's Own Image Host for the Forums
As a few people have said, this costs money. However, Scratch stores millions of projects, so the images hosted on Scratch’s own image host compared to the projects would be very small, since less than 1% of users use the forums, and even less might want to upload an image. This will still cost money however, so there should probably be a file size limit for uploading. If Scratchers would still want to upload large images, they could use online compression tools. I will add this point to the original post.Yes, scratchers could also have a limited amount of images they can use.

support, this is actually a good idea, especially with the tools and stuff. people sometimes upload really inappropriate images and we need that to change.

Support since there are already images in PROJECTS. And there are a lot of projects. I doubt it would cost too much extra if so little people upload images and they already have project images anyway.

I agree with this suggestion, about the hosting, it should compress images, unless it's marked as pixel art or something, if the user has too many warnings, it would ban for posting images.

The mock-up below is what you see when you press Image Hosr

You can choose URL or use My Images

It will also have a URL like… (the stuff after uploads/ is the stuff that is unique to each img
Feel free to use in your OP with this template:

Support! This sounds very handy and could be useful if someone wants to upload their own image to the forums!

It already does, though. Just do a link to a project's thumbnail.

That doesn't really work a whole lot, a lot of forumers just need to look at the image or mock-up in a post.

You have a point. But there are existing image hosts, and Scratch has limited funding. It already does, though. Just do a link to a project's thumbnail. That doesn't really work a whole lot, a lot of forumers just need to look at the image or mock-up in a post.

Yeah, but what Scratch needs to do is to make some kind of fundraiser to help with their financial issues, instead of us making the donations a whole lot.

(#136)Scratch has enough storage to store millions of projects. It won't be an issue to store thousands of images. You have a point.
