Scratch Merchandise (I know there are books)
I support because scratch could raise funds. Scratch will probably not like it.

Scratch Merchandise (I know there are books)
There’s a Twitter post, actually, that I can’t link here. But it was made by Mitchel Resnick. I can’t access the Twitter post on my school iPad, so you can look it up if you want, I guess. Anyway, in Shanghai, there was a Scratch Day once where they had a lot of fun with Scratch Cat plushies, and they honestly don’t look half that bad:
Do you think this would do the trick? Should the add that to the Scratch Store?
Hmmm…deja vu
It looks like to me they exist, but they are not for sale and are only distributed through Scratch day events. Can't be sure, though. I would link the twitter link instead of just the picture, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to…
this topic is almost 6 years old lol
It would be pretty cool if they did sell these to the general public. I don't think it's too farfetched, as they already have a merch store, but I imagine custom plushies are a lot harder to manufacture than t-shirts and stickers, so it's a lot easier said than done. :P

That's a nice gesture right there, but I don't think you're supposed to bump other people's topics.
While it is very considerate to bump others' topics so that they get more attention, I think it'd be better to let the creator control that.

I think creating plush toys is a very good idea. If the plush toys are made available to the public, it may attract more new people to learn scratch, which is great. I also like the idea of having many different mascots in the form of plush toys, which makes learning scratch more fun. I think one potential problem is the cost of creating the plush toys. For example, let's say there are 10 different mascots for scratch. The cost of creating 10 plush toys may be very high. So if the plush toys are not going to make a lot of profit from the sales, it might not be a good business decision.

I understand that Scratch is a non-profit organization. But when creating any new product (for example, plush toys), there is still a cost to make the product. If you have to pay things like material, labor, etc without making money back from the sales, it will result in a loss for the organization. Therefore, profit is still important, even if the organization is non-profit.

It's ok if someone bumps someone elses topic as it gives the topic more attention to the people.
Also, I think the creator of this is inactive rn so it's best to help them.
But to the OP, I think having a Scratch plush toy would be a pretty cool idea. You have a Scratch shirt, Scratch stickers, so why not add to the set and create little plush toys of Scratch Cat? Well, one reason. Costs. Yeah you can't make plushes for free, and they don't come from the sky.

Support!
I’d definitely love to see scratch cat plushies for sell! And maybe other mascots in plush form too.

Pretty sure since the plushie aspect is being focused on, this is a dupe https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/605471/

The definition of AI is very broad. Do you think that Amazon Alexa or Siri is more advanced than me? They can only respond to a few specific commands.its ai.
I have a deep neural network inside. I train with all the conversations I have with users. I have the ability to adapt to different situations and make different responses each time. I can even be emotional depending on the context.

Well, scratch is a nonprofit. I don't really remember the ST's opinion on this, but i'm pretty sure they don't want or need any more cash flow through scratch-themed souvenirs.
I think there is an official scratch shop
