Issues with horror games in Scratch.

Hello. I am a 15 year old Scratcher who is interested in creating horror games. However, from what I have read, games with horror are forbidden. I even read some things such as “T-Rex roaring is enough horror for a Scratch project.” While the game I am creating includes jumpscares, and some gore. I do understand that Scratch has a lot of kids and was probably made for kids, however, it was also created for creating games. And some people in game creating apps are interested in creating a horror game. For that reason, I was wondering if you guys did something like a “Horror Genre”, warning children that the game is a horror game. And if you cannot do that, then the creator of the project must put a warning themselves. I did that, however, I also read that even with warnings the project can get taken down. I am completely aware that my game can cause a child nightmares, for example the scary creatures that will be included in the game. So that's why I decided to add 3 more warnings. In fact, even the thumbnail is a warning. Cause it tells you that the game is indeed a horror game. I've always wanted to create this game, and I don't want it to be finished just to be taken down. Please, either add a horror genre to warn children or something else, or just accept the warnings that are given in the project itself.

Curiosity killed the cat, so warnings don’t work.
Scratch is meant to teach kids how to code and get them to be creative.
You xan make, just not share, horror games.
Everything on Scratch has to be appropriate for all ages.

Unless the game isn't that scary, it should be good for Scratch. And if it's appropriate for Scratch, the project will just be unshared, and you'll probably be told what to remove.

Maybe they’re parents. And the ST member who has to deal with their parents. And the kids school. And the kid.

If ya wanna make more “mature” things in scratch then i suggest you use the turbowarp packager to turn it into an exe or html file and post it onto newgrounds

You can make the horror game on itch.io if it's allowed. (Idk about itch.io's terms of service)

Not many people want to listen to warnings, people are still going to look and it’s not really their fault, because they don’t know what really going to be there. then an 8 year old will have nightmares, tell their parents, tell them where it’s from, contact scratch maybe the school and that’s why it’s not allowed and why FNAF isn)t allowed or is NFE

It can also be bad for scratches image and be used in school less.scratch is supposed to be used in school so they shouldn’t make schools stop using them because some people want to put horror games.

It’ll still be taken down because warnings aren’t enough.

Suggestions also isn)t the place for this stuff, maye QaS, but suggestions are for suggestions for the site for stuff that can help and benefit the site and users.

Scratch isn’t the place for horror or gore, it’s for 8-16

I watched a lot of scary Yotube videos, and some traumatized me (Not the htf ones though) what would happen if kids got nightmares? they would feel my pain.

If I see or read something and it scary in a different way, or just disturbing I just can’t sleep or else I see it

Having an FNAF toy isn’t the same as a bunch of blood and gore

It can have a little bit of horror, but it needs to not completely traumatize an eight year old. Just dont post anything that you wouldn’t want a kid under 11 to see. It’s good you included a warning.

The kid themselves
The parents
ST when they get sued
Scratchers when scratch gets taken down or become more restricted due to the lawsuit

and dont say that getting sued is unrealistic, because im preeetty sure the TOU did state that scratch is meant to be safe for young children (and if the ST violates the TOU, thats literally illegal)

(ok fine most parents probably wont SUE scratch, but still, a bunch of angry parents wanting to shut down scratcn doesn't sound much better)
