Which Version of Scratch do you Think is Better?

Every time I boot up the Scratch 2 editor it's incredibly hard I used to spend hundreds of hours in that thing. There are so many weird little design quirks that add-up to making something I never want to return to.

Scratch 3.0 is colorful and easy and fun, i recommend to use that.

I dislike the interface to scratch 3. All the blocks are in one long, contiguous list and everything is too big… Needs too much scrolling to select anything.

Too much white space and the blocks themselves are too big relative to the writing. To fit anything on a screen you have to shrink the blocks down to the point where the text is only clear on a Retina class screen. Quite annoying.

Moreover, Scratch 3 UI designers seem to be under the misapprehension that everyone uses Scratch on a touch device with a diminutive screen and not a desktop PC or laptop.

Moreover, try running Scratch 3 on anything less than a Core i5 (like the older/cheaper systems that many children in the developing world are forced to use) and you're met with shockingly bad performance. Core 2 Duos which are still commonly running windows 7 in developing countries can only manage very simple projects with little sprite motion and transformations.

in a nutshell:

Scratch 2 works better on older or low powered hardware found in (some) schools in developing countries.
Scratch 3 works better with modern hardware found in (some) schools in wealthy countries.

2.0 its faster but 3.0 has more things and not so much bugs a problem that happens to everyone in 3.0 is the shaking of the sprites section when you want to copy a code IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING
and in 2.0 doesnt happen nothing and its faster

I think scratch 2.0 and 3.0 are both good but there's a huge difference between them and that is look in scratch 3.0 look is better but 2.0 is better!

Ok, I think Scratch 3.0 is better and that's for 3 reasons, first is when I downloaded 2.0 offline editor, its kind of annoying that you start with bitmap and you have to switch to vector, second is that scratch 3.0 has backpack, making moving your intro screen more easy, and third is that Scratch 3.0 has more features in extensions, thats my comment.

…2.0 had backpack??? IT WAS ADDED IIN 2.0!!!
Edit: I predict that when 4.0 comes out, that people are going to say 3.0 didn't have a backpack LOL
