Hello! I'm Nat, a not-so-very-average human who is socially awkward, an Olivia Rodrigo fanatic, asian-american, an avid reader, marvel lover, a volleyball lover, and so much more. This is the first time I've made a long introduction before, so prepare for cringe-y paragraphs about me. Also, to anyone reading this, this is an example of a TERRIBLE biography. Don't write like I write. Hold on to the mast of this ship, and let's get into it, lol.
First off, I've been through a lot of scratch nicknames. Like, a lot. From the names Rose, Rosie, Hope, Silver, Silvie, Sylvie, Wanda, Carol, Natasha, Wanda, Snickers, and Rylie, I finally stuck with ‘Nat.’ It's easy to write and remember. It's easy to understand when a random scratcher comes up to me and says “hi rose” because of my username, but honestly, that name is somewhat cliche (no offense <3) for me at least. It bothers me because when they come to my chatroom, everyone calls me Nat, and they are just like, “hi Rosie” THE LONESOME RANDOM SCRATCHER CALLING ME ROSE, rip kid. I should stop ranting about that pft; I understand why people call me that.
As I mentioned in the first small description, I read. Read read read. My current favorite book is ‘The Hobbit’, followed up by ‘Harry Potter’ book 3 and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’. I love the hobbit movies, maybe more than the book lol. Big thanks to Amy Hubbard and all of the casting directors, my GOSH you picked the perfect actors. If you asked me who my favorite character was, within one second I would answer ‘Kili’. Kili Kili Kili. Kili. Narnia was also awesome, the movies were great. Books fuel my life. Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, The Trumpet of the Swan, Front Desk, Three Keys, Lincoln's Grave Robbers, The One and Only Ivan, The One and Only Bob, Charlott's Web, The Hobbit, The Little House On the Prairie (series), Robin Hood, A Bear Called Paddington, and an extreme amount more are some of my favorites.
In my Scratch world, I'm a community helper which means (here we go again, Nat explaining it all for the twentieth time) I curate Scratch Team owned studios like Scratchtober 2022, Scratch Design Studios (current studio is ‘All from the Dot’), BHM 2022, and many more. I help out in discussion forums a lot, especially the new scratchers forum.
In terms of hobbies, drawing, sketching, animating, reading (obviously), coding, camping (irl ad on scratch lol) writing, volleyball, are some of the ones I do/like the most.
If I had a superpower I'd be… uhmmm… invisibility! Yes, this is a little biased of course because one of the characters in “The Hobbit” eventually acquires the power of invisibility, plus in a wizarding world tale, a wizard who also acquires the power of invisibility is the only one who avoids d3ath, and of course Harry Potter gets his _ _ _'s invisibility _ _ _ _ _. I have always liked that superpower so I'll stick with that.
Who's my favorite singer/band? Ooh boy. Tough one lol. Favorite singer would probably be Olivia Rodrigo, followed up by Billie Eilish. They are both amazing trailblazers who I adore. For my favorite band, I would choose BTS. When I first saw them on the Grammy's I already started liking them, though my sister teased me quite a bit for that. It was a couple months ago when we started really listening to their music, and is was actually my sister who showed me the music videos. Ironic, right? Tease me for liking them, then like them yourself! Gosh, teenagers… Why do they have to go to the military, haven't they done enough for South Korea? I'll miss you, how do I servive 3 years without my favorite band? Now I'm stuck listening to Imagine Dragons (not that its a bad thing)… I'VE GOT RUN BULLETPROOF STUCK IN MY HEAD 0-0 run bulletproof, run yeah you gotta run, run… *internal screaming*. “When you say ”BTS" it stand for uhh… bangtang in Korean, not behind the scenes, I mean, for your information." RM of bts <3 If you asked who my BTS bias is, it's a tie between yoongi, tae, and kookie <3
I also love theater. I've done these really random plays called “Radio Play Disaster”, “Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” (Yes I KNOW google that's not a word, I'm just trying to write here! Leave me alone autocorrect!), and “Doctor Evil and the Pigeons With Lasers”. I'm also currently taking theater classes![]()
Anyways, that's pretty much itThank you for reading!

word count: 270/200 (excluding title and subtitle)The BEST Cabin Names: You've got to use these!
a joke column by Nat (@RoseReef)
When it comes to cabin names, every SWC co-leader and leader has to find a name that correlates with the genre they got assigned to. Though we got cool ones like Dystopian Realm, Fan-fiction Time Traveling Agency, The Mystery Express, somebody's got to come up with some really good ones. Aka me. Seriously though, ‘Poetry Pepperoni Pizza’ or of course ‘Sci-Fi Snake Sanctuary’, is really cool, and should definitely be used in future sessions. Personally, ‘Terror Toilet’ is just a bomb for me, if you know what I'm saying. The wording in the title, the storylines you could make for that, like “Welcome to terror toilet! Escape the toilet before bombs get dropped!” so the campers have to write to get, is like, so cool. But Imagine if you didn't have to use a genre and you could just do for the cabin name “The ground right under a sloth's tree” so everyone could just being surrounded by… uhm… just google “what's on the ground underneath a sloth's tree”. I think some of you might think I'm crazy, so here's another cabin name just to assure you I'm not crazy, ‘Sci-fi Sewer Drain’. If you want a more realistic name, ‘Bi-fi Black Hole’, and the storyline would be that the leaders and co-leaders suck everyone into the black hole and everyone has to write to get out! Just like every other storyline I make, write to get out! Heh, classic. Always remember I'm here if you're every stuck when making a cabin name. Life lesson: always rely on Nat to make the most gripping storyline, and the most supreme name.

Disclaimer: before you read this, please note that I do not hold grudges or dislike any cabins- this was mostly for fun. All of the cabins a crazily cool, please don't take anything I say personally.
♕ Adventure | 121/100Dear Adventure,
By far one of the coolest genres created, some of my favorite adventure books are The Chronicles of Narnia (specifically Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair), The Hobbit, Time Castaways Book #1, The One and Only Ivan, and many more. How the kingdom? Anyone going out on crazy adventure, any brave warriors? Slayed any dragons yet? Found hidden coves or large hoards of gold, silver, and precious metals? Rings that could make you control fire, water, earth, be invisible? Whatever you're doing, good luck embarking on your new adventure! Oh way by the way, If you d find any rings, please let me be the first to know.

☾ Dystopian | 108/100Dear Dystopian.
Firstly, very cool name. Realm? Very cool. Dystopian? Cool. Taking Lokito? Not cool. Cabin colors? Cool. Dawn? AWESOME. Lisa? AWESOME. Gabbie? AWESOME. Matching pfps? Neat. Not having a strong defensive line when Bi-fi kidnaps Lokito? Yay, makes the process easier. Also, why did Dystopian just so happen to be enemies with Bi-fi? If we were siblings, we wouldn't have to kidnap Lokito. Okay that's a lie; we'd still kidnap Lokito, just maybe with a tiny less uhm… yelling involved. Either way, you guys have a really really cool cabin. I can't get over those cabin colors.
Wors- I-I mean best of luck,

⚙ Fantasy | 184/100Dear Fantasy.
I'll give you this, I have never seen such an un-pixelated thumbnail! Jeez, who knew scratch was capable of creating such a thing! No matter how much I edit it, download, re-screenshot I can't seem to get one. Back on topic pft, are there any hippogriffs in the sanctuary? If there are, could you give me the key? You can trust me with it *wink wink*, I definitely won't use it to steal every possession you have! Pretty pleeeease? If not, let me give you an apple! A really shiny artificial looking one. No? Don't worry it's totally not poisonous. Enough with the backstabbing, I do have to say the thumbnail is seriously cool, the house is really detailed and I love it, not to mention the leaders did an awesome job on the storyline. Be sure to snap a pic of the creatures for me!
G'luck,

P.S. why did I have a strong urge to start this off with “When I was six years old, I decided I wanted to play the piccolo-” - from the bad guys asdjfasdf-
✑ Mystery | 102/100Dear Mystery,
Every good story has one. Harry Potter, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings (I'm assuming for that one, I haven't actually read it but Lokito is so IIII'm just gonna take her word for it-), etc. sWC wouldn't be the same without you. I mean- stories wouldn't be the same without you. You are the reason stories end. In a tragedy, after the main character discovers the what truly happened, when they solve the mystery- they die. Quick and easy. Keep at it. Keep doing your thing. Keep killin' off those characters.
Best of luck.

◦ Non-Fi | 119/100Dear non-fi,
When I first read your cabin name, I started to smell cinnamon buns. Then sourdough. Only I was only smelling sourdough because that was what was right in front of me at the time, steaming hot sourdough with butter and a little big of lingon berry jam. Your bread house reminds me a lot of my ‘Mystery Patisserie’ cabin I ran in Scratch Reading Camp. How does it feel to make bread, pastries, and sweet pasties (PASTIES, not pasTRIes) everyday? Do you smell orange cranberry scones in the morning when you wake up, too? Please give me some challah bread, or at least exchange recipes- I have a killer banana bread!

♤ Hi-Fi | 108/100Dear Hi-fi,
First a question, does hi-fi stand for high five? Alas, I never actually knew what hi-fi really meant until yesterday when I finally mustered up the strength in my pinky finger to type into google what it stands for. I highly suggest not asking why I was typing with my pinky finger. When I learned that it stands for historical fiction, I went up to my sister and proudly announced “Hi-fi stands for historical fiction.” …apparently she already knew that and I felt like a total fool. Either way, if it did stand for high-five, I would definitely high-five you.
Good luck!

⚓Thriller | 110/100Dear Thriller.
Okay, who made this theme? They are POGGERS. Ocean expedition? Though I'd be terrified, I would also be thrilled if I went on one. Is the water cold? If it's warm, what color is it? If anyone allowed to jump on your boat at anytime? Have you made anyone walk the plank yet? If not, GREAT no one knows whats in the water.. *shiver* sharks, jellyfish, stingrays… don't make anyone walk the plank in WHATEVER YOU DO, ALWAYS MAKE SURE THEY GO INTO THAT BIG BLUE OCEAN BY CHOICE. NOT. BY. FORCE. Yeha I'm a little scared of the ocean- anyways, Good luck Thriller!

⌬ Fan-Fi | 104/100Dear Fan-fi,
By far one of the easiest genres to write (in a good way, don't worry), your agency looks serious cool. I mean, time travel agency? Come on, who would have thought of that! And the matching profiles pictures oh my goodness, somebody pinch me. The color combinations are really neat, shoutout to the leaders; you guys did an incredible job. You guys are making me want to time travel back to when I did my camper sign-up and put you guys in as a choice (pun wasn't originally intended but ehehe that was kind of smooth-).
Good luck, Fan-fi!

Who would have thought! And that storyline, my gosh! If you do see any birds, Blue Jays, Black-eyed Junkos, and Sparrows are my favorite, if you see any and have a camara on hand- please do take a picture for me! <3 I'll exchange you with some pictures of House finches. ◈ Real-Fi | 141/100Dear Real-fi,
Somebody's gotta be in last place, and it just so happens to be you, Real-fi ! Is it warm and toasty in your inn? If so, I would NOT like to sleep there. I am extremely hot right now sitting in the sun. Anyways, I love realistic fiction. Your inn looks very well kept, your currency is very creative, and I love your enthusiasm when you said “enemies, ATTAAACKK >→ bye-fi { bi-fi }”. Is gives me a lot of motivation. Though we're enemies, let me offer you some free advice; If you'd like to advance in the leader board, send out a note to your campers with some motivation, or ask them if they have a journal they are writing in! A little can go a long way.
Good luck, you'll be needing it.

⌘ Horror | 111/100Dear Horror.
Horror. To start off, whenever I think of the horror genre I always think of terror. Can ‘terror’ be a genre? Because I have some ideas for cabin names. My personal favorite is ‘Terror Toilet’, and for the Horror genre, ‘Horror Hump of Dried-out Toothpaste’, I highly suggest using one of them in the future. /jk Anyways, lot and found? Does that mean everyone gonna get lost and I get to scare them? 'Cause I have lots of barbie dolls that I SWEAR moved their eyes a couple of times, and maybe some other things like clown masks and more.
Good luck, Horror-lost-people (I think-)!

☀ Poetry | 130/100Dear Poetry.
I would write a poem but I have zero motivation right now so this is what you get from me today. When I was ten years old, I though this would be a good poem:
Before I sit down with my needle and spool,
I have a small note for for you.
Frenemy or enemy,
Your cabin is cool,
My gosh I am so hot right now,
I need to jump into a pool-
and I would go show my sister and she would be like “hhHhHhhhhhHhhHhHh good job- amazing poem (insert name)” and I wouldn't believe her because she hesitated for, like, a minute. But serous, you cabin is really cool. And you even being lead by Finn, Viara, and Bee!

∅ Sci-Fi | 101/100Dear Sci-fi.
Sci-fi Sci-fi Sci-fi, the genre of some of the best books like ‘A Wrinkle in Time’; also the genre of my first scratch reading camp session, Sci-fi is so fun, ridiculously funny (sometimes), and un-real sometimes-too. My favorite graphic novel series, Carmen Sandiego, is Sci-fi! Welp, kind of. All of thsese cabin are so cool, I'm glad we're at least siblings! Sein Clo and Peggy are awesome, enjoy your time with them! They did an incredible job on the description, I'm loving the ∅'s for O and Ξ's for E. <3
Good luck, my sibling!

Toast butter smoothie with a ton of jam that has loads of sugar in it is the ultimate, ULTIMATE smoothie. No matter how much you try, you really can't get any better than this. The flavor is incredible, you can taste the toast! It's like breakfast except… in liquid form. You're probably thinking “What? Jam smoothie with toast? There's flour, baking soda, baking power, probably a bunch of levanting agents, and it was make in a brick oven!” Yeah yeah yeah, don't worry I GUARENTEE you don't taste the burnt part of the toast or the thousand of chemicals the baker lined the oven with.
This is 100%, the best. Not to mention how HEALTHY it is to have toast in your smoothie instead of pineapple! Like, come on this is seriously the prime smoothie. The butter just brings out a ton of flavor, and the jam is like adding strawberries, but they added a pound of sugar as well! I asked my little brother if the sounded like a good smoothie, and he said yes! It's endorsed by a 5 year old! Also small note, my brother usually says yes to everything. But that does not matter, no one can argue this is the most incredible smoothie you'll ever taste, it'll most likely also be the last smoothie you'll ever taste! You definitely won't gag and spit it out when you taste it.
Go try it. Now.

Chapter 1: I didn't Invite This Party.
Yelps of joy, shrieks of laughter, I can't even remember why there are ninty-two people at our party. I don't remember inviting any of them, and I can only recognize three faces, my mom's, dad's and my sister's. The deafening sound of hip-hop party music fill my ears, I can't even hear myself. I see people's heads bobbing up a I try to spot my sister through the madhouse of guests. Finally, I see a familiar curl in some dark brown hair. I push my way through the crowd, and reach for my sister's hand. She makes eye contact and I mouth “follow me.” We walked as fast as we can though the throng of people, making our way toward our clubhouse. My family doesn't a lot of land, but for some reason it was taking longer than usual to get to our hideout. I started running, and so did my sister. The sound from the party should still have been loud, but for some reason it wasn't. Every sound started to blur, like the universe halted for a moment. My sister looked at at me, was she hearing it too? I tried to tell her “What's going on?” but no sound came out. Furthermore, every time I took a stride It seemed like I was using my energy to run, but I was getting nowhere. “What is going on?!!” I thought. I keep running, it felt like no matter how much I tried I couldn't make it to the top of a hill. It felt like forever. It felt like trudging through three feet of thick heavy and wet snow only to find you didn't even take the step. I took a breath on focused on trying to take another. Walk. Lift your leg, put it down. And make sure I mark when your foot started to see if I actually took that step. I think to myself. Of course, it still doesn't work.

In-Cabin Daily: When The Goat ResurrectsPrompt: LESSON LEARNED: If you take a Valkyrie out for coffee, you'll get stuck with the check and a dead body. And then the dragons arrived.Standard day in Boston, Starbucks with a goat body and large check. It's not like I had a choice on this. I genuinely don't know why I was stuck in a giant time capsule with a Valkyrie. It's not my fault I'm sitting here with a corpse and a $380 dollar check. I mean girl, you already ate the goat- you didn't need the thirty-eight dollar lava cake, fourteen nine dollar latte's with extra cream, and six dozen tree dollar donuts. Plus that 33 pound goat. No. That's too much.
Not only was it a terrible (Hey- did I emphasize that enough A TERRIBLE) sight to see (Please, rest in peace Jake the cashier. My condolences to your family.). I really really smelled. Like, a lot. Imagine a chocolate covered goat with a fluffy bread on top. Delicious, am I right? No. No, I'm not right. That my friend, hem hem, is only stage one. The stench of dragon breath mixed with goat corpse smells really good. I think you can figure out the rest, I've got to go slay a dragon. I think I won't die. I hope.
Author's Note: This was heavily inspired by Rick Riordan's Magnus Chase series. Thank you Rick for making those. This story wouldn't exist without you.

My eyes start to water, I can't see my sister in this forever time loop. Abruptly, through the sound of happy shouts and ear-piercing screams, I hear a screech. I can tell it's not a hawk or eagle from the sound it made, though it sounds like someone big. The air gets cold, and clouds roll over the sun. Cold invisible raindrops hit me and chills and bite me, pinching and pulling at my fingers. Am I the only one feeling this? I think. I don't know, my sister is covered with fogginess, overcast. I try to look up, but heh- you'll find it's hard to do so with a frozen neck. Swept away in a draft, a shadow swiftly runs over me, the source of the screech. Everything turns dark…

“No, I'm fine. Just give me a minute.”

Carmen Sandiego, The Suitcase Steal“Everything all set, Player?” Carmen asked, coat blowing in the wind. Carmen was standing on a rooftop, getting ready for a late night break-in into a museum. Carmen is a thief, who steals from other thieves. The criminal organization VILE is the thief she's after tonight.
“You bet. Getting an upgraded keyboard really helped- thanks, Red.”
“Hah, I wouldn't be Carmen Sandiego without you- you deserve it. You're awesome.” Carmen said.
“Nah, you're the awesome one, red.” Player replied, spinning his fidget spinner.
“Alright then, we go.” Carmen whispered and swiftly jumping from the building, pulling the string that deployed her para glider. Landing on the rooftop of the museum, below her was the museum's trophy room. She pulled out some tools and unlocked the glass trapdoor and slowly lowered herself into quiet chamber. She silently walked through the museum, looking in every glass box to see what is inside.
“Can you give me the exact description of this suitcase?” Carmen said.
“Yeah,” Play replied. "Okay so, it's a Coco Chanel chalkboard-black and has a white handle. It seems to be really high quality leather.“ He said slowly.
”No wonder VILE is after it, I'm sure Countess Cleo would love another Coco Chanel bag."clunk, clunk, clunk. Carmen stopped in her footsteps and dashed behind a pillar.
“Hmm hmm, hmm.” A familiar high voice hummed. Paperstar, a colorful and daring girl with a outgoing hair due, strode through museum with a bitter expression.
“So… round.” she said, touching the glass to a round purse. She continued walking but stopped at a glass box. “Now this.. is my style.” A pair of high heeled, pointy pink and neon green shoes laid inside. She casually took out a piece of paper and hastily folded a sharp triangle and used it to cut through the glass. She took the shoes out, and slipped them inside her jacket. Paperstar then moved on to a separate room and Carmen took the chance to keep looking. She ran though the isles of valuables, and spotting the popular logo, she swiftly pulled off the glass cover and took the famous suitcase out and switched it with a copy of the suitcase which Player bought off Ebay. She put it in a large black bag which she always carried folded-up in her coat.
“We got it Player.” Carmen whispered in her comm-link. She quietly slipped out of the room and ran through chamber of jwels, trying to re-trace her steps but got slightly lost in the rows of shimmering gold, silver, ruby, and jade.
“Aww-ha-haw, looks like little Black Sheep forgot to bring a watch!” a girl with bright clothing said in the middle of the chamber in front of her.
“Paperstar,” Carmen muttered as Paperstar held up a black suitcase with a white handle. Carmen contemplated if she should just pretend to forfeit and not fight Paperstar, or just exchange some smart words and leave.
“Awww, does little Black Sheep not want a paper cut? Because I'll give you some anywayyy!” Paperstar said in her annoying high voice. With that, Paperstar revealed a load of paper-stars, and threw them straight at Carmen.
Carmen quickly looked around for an exit, but got caught in a herd of paper throwing stars. Her coat got pinned to a pillar, and she struggled to rip it off. Finally breaking free, she spotted a fire door and gave Paperstar a quick look, then ran for it. But Paperstar was too fast. She hurled another round of the colorful sharp edged paper at her, pinning her once again. Carmen purposefully let her do this, if she really wanted to get away she'd be out of the museum by now.
“Aw, Looks like little Black Sheep lost her touch. Cleo will be glad to have another ruby to put in her collection!” Paperstar said and she dashed out, leaving Carmen pinned to a pillar.
“Looks like a successful bait and switch to me.” Player said.
“Part of me wanted that to be a harder, but I guess Paperstar really didn't listen to any of Maelstrom's classes- otherwise she'd known that I switched it. He did a pretty good job teaching that. I just didn't get the joke about the bait and worms. He doesn't have a very good sense of humor.” Carmen said, casually taking the paper stars of her coat. She knew the sirens would start blaring any second, so with a sly face she fired her grappling hook toward the glass ceiling, breaking a square of glass and attaching to the metal railing around each square. She pulled herself up, deployed her paraglider once again, and took off into the night sky.
