How to have the perfect gif size for a banner

Hello!

I am currently trying to make a gif thumbnail/banner I know how to post it on scratch but I don't know how to reduce the size so it can fit.

Also I am not trying to make my own gifs I really want to use one from the internet.

And if anyone got suggestions on how to reduce gif sizes for profile pictures too then let me know.

Please help :cry:

Its for a project. And I am also trying to have one as an icon.

An icon is 500x500 pixels and 512 kilobytes, a project is 480x360(the project player resolution)

Yes I know, but how do I resize gifs to be that size? I tried ezgif resizer but it wouldn't upload on scratch.

Depends on the site. I’d suggest this site for compressing, or Cloud Convert.

ezgif has an optimise feature, maybe try that?

it shows the file size, just optimise the amount so that it's under 512 kb

but how am I supposed to know if it reduced to 512 kb? All i see is MiB (13.14 for mine)

Thats a megabyte. It’ll have a k in it when its in kilobytes.
