Appalling paint editor inaccuracy is getting on my nerves
Selecting an area of paint and trying to move it precisely in line with another does NOT work. Moving it down is too far down, moving it up is too far up and so on. I'm just sitting here completely incapable of creating nice, precise looking graphics because of the stupidest of problems.
Is this going to be addressed?

Otherwise, it works okay when zoomed at 100% or 200%. We're working on a fix so the selection only snaps to the standard pixel grid as one would expect in a bitmap editor.
Is this going to be addressed?

If you like the accuracy of bitmap but also the amazingness of vector, use inkscape! You can manually enter the coordinates of an element to ensure it's in the right spot.

Do you have a screenshot?I do now.

I made the smallest movement possible with the “select” tool but you can see just how inaccurate it is. Mind you, it isn't just the “select” tool, it's movement as well - any time you duplicate something, it will become IMPOSSIBLE to line up with the edge of the original. Say I duplicated the square in question (ignoring the poor selecting accuracy), it would not line up exactly with the sides of the original. Always slighly off to one side…

I see the problem. Something in the image is done in subpixels (hard to see without zooming in a little further); but selection and stamping snaps to a typical pixel grid (or at least in theory).Well, that's strange. What browser are you using?Mozilla Firefox.Do you have a screenshot?I do now.
