I have Scratch 1.4. Have tried sharing my game by uploading it various times. Have tried sharing it by compressing the files and by not compressing the files.

No luck. Can anyone please help?

The computer we are using is a Mac OS X version 10.6.8

The game trying to be shared is 7543 Kbytes.

An indicator bar pops up showing us that the game is being uploaded, but then once the bar “fills up” to show that it has completed the task, we get a message in red that says, “Failed” Unknown reason."

It sounds usual for me - this was happening to me too. (but not very often)

Hmm…It's a server error I believe. I have experienced it in 2.0 offline.
Try this for me:

• Come ONline, and go to “Create” in the top blue bar. This will bring you to the online editor.
  

• Go to “File” and pick “Upload from Computer” from the dropdown. This will bring you to your hard drive directory.
  

• Find the location in which you saved the project. Pick open. This will take your project from your computer and copy it into the online editor.
  

Now, you can rename your project to what you want, and hit the “Share” button in the upper right hand corner.
I hope this works for you. I own a PC and not a mac, but I can't imagine that they will be terribly different.
