Ban these very inappropriate words
- The word d*mn means to curse someone to Hell which is very inappropriate and disrespectful no matter which way you say it. This is a children's site.
- The word lm*o has a very inappropriate word in its abbreviation, I don't know why it's allowed.
- The word fri*k is used and made as a workaround to saying the f bomb. This is very very very inappropriate especially on a kid's site where people of all ages are here.
I hope theres change

* and lmao are fine, rejected suggestionsUhm, these are very inappropriate words for a children's website. Would you feel comfortable saying da*n and fri*k in front of your kids? If you can't say this stuff at home or school, then you shouldn't be able to say it here. These words are just not good.

All of these words are rejected to be removed as per §6.5 of The Official List of Rejected Suggestions:
6.5 Censor the words {damn, crap, frick, lmao}
The Scratch Team has decided that these words are not offensive enough to be censored completely. As always, use the Report button if someone is using these words (or any others) disrespectfully. In addition, if you come across a word that is not censored, but you think it should be, please let the Scratch Team know about it through Contact Us, rather than using the comments or forums to report it.
Another reason why “lmao” in particular is not censored is stated in this post. There is also an existing suggestion that would allow you to personally censor these words, and others, so that only you cannot see them; you can discuss it on this topic.

How is this rejected?? Da*n means to curse someone to Hell. That is not appropriate for a kids site at all! If my mom would have seen that I would have gotten in trouble! Lm*o has the a bomb which is very inappropriate and offensive. I don't get how these words are allowed.

This has gone too far. Who would teach their kids to say this stuff? It's so offensive and rude. Cursing someone to Hell is So Unbearably rude.

(#8)I didn't even know that's what damn meant, and I don't think a lot of others do either. Also, you're not spelling lmao out here, so that's not as bad.

No matter the reason, this is still rejected and so should be closed.

I think using that word in that context isn't allowed and whoever says that will probably get muted. To inquire with the Scratch Team about this, go to Contact Us

it can't detect context but it can flag the comment and send it to the report queue, that's what happens for words like “password” (which is why many experienced wikians get falsely alerted)

The filter system is designed to do a soft report on these words (let's a moderator know they were used) but doesn't take action due to lack of ability to read context. If you see it being used inappropriately, please follow-up with the report button.
