Heyo peeps! I'm Qui, a closeted nonbinary gal who spends their time breaking toothpicks B) I love drawing, reading, music, sports and a few things that I have seemed to have forgotten. I'm Indian and my timezone is IST :D I've participated quite a few times in SWC, and I literally can't wait for this session to start cause I'm the most awesomest cabin which is obviously Mystery :3 (I mean it already has started but still) Also remember to stay hydrated and take rest if you need to ^^ <33 /g

Will Shakti betray Kavin?
Yes, definitely.

Liar.

My body ached as I managed to get back on my feet. The rain felt like shards of glass, and the air reeked of acid and withering vegetation. I wiped my face with the back of my hand, questioning whether it happened to be covered in tears or rain. I tried to bring myself to take a step back, but my limbs felt like drenched textile. My voice was frail and dry while my lips glinted in the faint light, cracked and engulfed in an obscene amount of blood.

I desired to wail, flee and discover that this was nothing but a twisted nightmare. I wanted to drop dead and wake up to the smell of fresh rice and ground pepper, but the chill in my bones and ringing in my ears appeared all too real.

She stood before me, tall and begrudgingly proud. Her fair skin was bathed in what I assumed was coconut oil, and her eyes glowed in a gorgeous turmeric hue. She had braided her ebony hair with marigold and jasmine, a sight and scent that was bitterly nostalgic.

“How dare you?” I managed to choke out.

She stood silently, her expression indifferent. She had no genuine answer to give me, so she honoured me with her pathetic silence. She tilted her head, and her expression transformed into one of remorse.

“Come on. This couldn't possibly come as a shock to you. You're wiser than that.” Her voice was as feeble as mine but warm and steady. She stared at me, begging for understanding.

"What do you think you're doing, being righteous? Stoic? Do you think you're being a hero?“ I asked, trying to regain some authority and control over this conversation.

”I'm just doing the right thing,“ she replied, her chin pointing upwards and hazel eyes avoiding mine.

”They've hurt more people than we ever have!“ I reasoned.

”But they've killed less," she commented. It didn't take me long to realise what she was referring to:

Me.

I grinned and began to laugh maniacally. “Look what we have here, little miss flawless, drowning in her own petite ocean of filthy secrets.”

Her eyes widened, and her thin maple lips parted ever so slightly.

“Kavin, I-”

"We were friends, Shakti.“

”You and I both know that is far from the truth. Grow up, Kavin, the arrangement lasted long enough."

Our alliance was brilliant while it lasted, a blaze of light and hope that individuals as dissimilar as us could be something grander than nominal rivals. But we both knew it was never meant to be. We both knew that something as disorderly and turbulent as our little coalition was destined to fail. In the end, it was merely a matter of who crosses who.

She was a hero, while I was not.
She was brave, while I was reckless.
She was perfect, while I never will be.
She was the Chosen One, while I was her greatest foe.

Vague

“The ice cream was quite good,” she said playfully. Her tawny hair was a revolting mess, and her umber eyes appeared glazed over. “You should've been there.”

“After everything that ensued last year? No way.” I responded with a scoff.

“It's not like you to be so chickenhearted. Backing out after one little thing?” she grumbled, throwing her head back.

“Firstly, it wasn't one thing. Secondly, that one thing also didn't happen to be as unimportant as you're making it seem.” I said defiantly. “Now focus on the road, you idiot.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Lord Of Cyanide.” she teased as she pivoted right.

“Will you ever let that go? That was one time, and it wasn't even my fau-”

“Hush, darling, don't grouse like a child. Also no,” a toothy grin spread across her face, “I'm never letting it go. Remember the other thing? The one with the knives?”

“We don't talk about that, it's clas-” I paused, choosing my subsequent few words carefully. “Yeah, you know what, I'm sure the ice cream was pretty good.”

Her expression hardened as she bit a lock of her hair. She smiled awkwardly as if she didn't know what to say.

“T-the ice cream?” she asked and took a sharp left.

“The chocolate one must've been the best, you know, as always.” I said, my voice strained as she took another abrupt turn.

She stopped the car and looked me dead in the eyes. Through gritted teeth, she asked me, “What the hell have you done this time?”

Ambiguous

“It's done?” he asks, fingers trembling.

“Yes.” she responds, trying to reassure him. They were like night and day, the two of them.

“Done and dusted?” he confirms, his eyes meeting hers.

“Yes, you don't need to worry, there's noth-”

“The item?” he asks expectantly. His eyes widen and his fingers steady. He adjusts his fur coat and thick glasses, a small smile on his face.

“Exists, but it's inconvenient.” she responds, her voice cracking with the final few words.

“Inconvenient?” He glances at her pink dress and smiles. “Inconvenient.” he repeats to himself.

“Very. Too much noise.” she responds, worry seeping into her voice. She shook her hands gently in an effort to calm herself down.

“Ah.” he says. He crosses his arms, looks at the marbled floor, and then back to her. “Deal with it.” He flashes her a quick and eerie smile, and goes back to staring

“But, it's done. He's breathing down my neck, you underst-” she pleads, but he interjects.

“In or out, always in or out.” His voice is calm but his hands began to tremble again. He looks at her, eyes devoid of emotion. “Then it's set in stone for you, my dear.”

“Oh shut up, you can stop all of this, all of this, so don't go about spouting all of this nonsense!” she screams, desperate for his understanding.

“Tch,” he coos, “Very loud, my dear. Very, very, loud.”

“I-I . . . I'm s-so-sorry.” she adds quickly. She adjusts her dress and plasters a saccharine smile on her face.

"In or out.
