July 2022 SWC Writing Megathread

Weekly 1!

Part One
I got most of the information (pronouns, sexuality, etc.) from fandom.com

This has a lot of spoilers for Doki Doki literature club

Part One
Character reference sheet for Monika (from Doki Doki Literature Club) I’m not in a lot of fandoms lol
Series continuing or ended?: Ended (there is a lot of lore waiting to be discovered though)

Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality: pansexual
Species: sentient video game character

Strengths: intelligent, athletic, confident
Weaknesses: depressed, manipulative

General view of life: first is very happy and positive, after she realizes she’s in a simulation, she starts to act as if her friends’ lives don’t matter, as they are just characters in a game.

Relationships:
- romantic interest: Player
- friends: Yuri, Sayori, Natsuki, Player
- family: none

Tendencies:
- Knows her friends (in the simulation she’s in) are “not real”, so she manipulates their game files, causing two of them to die and eventually deletes one of them.
- Takes out her emotions on her friends (this is part of lore)
Improvement: no improvement, staying the same

Situations:
Romantic struggles:
- refuses to accept rejection
- will do anything for the person they like
- obsessed with her goal to be with the player as she is coded to never have a “happy ending”

The scenario will be Monika and Sayori are on a mission, but Monika has to sacrifice Sayori. This will not be in the simulation, but in real life since Monika would probably be able to revive Sayori.

Two shady figures crept toward a vault entrance. One whispered to the other, “Monikaaa! We're so close! EEEEE!” The other one shushed the one named Sayori and whispered back, “Be quiet! We're not done with our mission!”

the two of them were looking for the last piece of a collection once owned by the rich King Albert. One of these treasures would make anyone rich, but the whole collection would make them richer than anyone in the world. Monika, Sayori, and a few others had worked hard to collect all of the jewelry, gems, and special coins in the collection. They had found every single one of them except for one last piece. This last piece was a pair of earrings, safely stored in a high-security vault. Many had gone in and attempted to take them. None of them got out of the vault alive. They tiptoed to the entrance, and Monika handed Sayori a piece of paper.

Sayori began to type a passcode onto a screen on the vault entrance. After a few minutes of typing and checking for errors, they finished. If they got the code wrong, security would be alerted and they would be caught. they held their breath for a moment before pressing a button. The vault door creaked and finally opened. They walked quietly, checking for traps as they walked.

After a long walk, they found themselves at the end of the corridor. There, a glass case sat, surrounded by heaps of gold and silver. Monika smashed the glass and Sayori grabbed the earrings inside. They ran out and was just about to get out of the building when a group of security guards appeared in front of them. “Stop right there!” Monika and Sayori both turned around and ran.

“Now what do we do?” Sayori said. Luckily, their team had studied everything about the building and the vault. Monika thought about what to do for a moment, and then replied, “Let's make them fall behind, and then use the zipline.” Sayori nodded. They ran towards some doors. Before going in, Monika took a smokebomb from her belt and threw it at the guards. They fell to the ground, coughing. They ran through and barricaded the doors. Then, they ran up the stairs.

They ran and ran until they finally reached their destination: the roof of the building. There, an old zipline made by a previous robber waited for them. Monika gasped. “Oh no…” Sayori walked over to Monika. “What's wrong?”

“This zipline can't hold the two of us. The rope will snap.” Sayori gasped. “No! But we only have a little bit of time before those guards come!” Monika didn't seem to be troubled by this. She snatched the earrings from Sayori's hand and put them in her pocket. Monika said, “I'm sorry, Sayori. But this is for the greater good. It was nice knowing you.” Monika pushed Sayori off the building and then went on the zipline.

A few moments later, the guards burst out the door to the roof. They shouted orders to each other to find the two robbers. But no one was found.

The next day, the people of the city heard that two robbers had escaped with the earrings. One had died, but the other had escaped.

Monika watched as the news reporter talked about how they would catch this robber.

She smiled. It was already too late for them.

The End

Part Two
I will be using Harry Potter and Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series.
Hermione is a very intelligent and clever girl. She is levelheaded in any situation and always seeks out the most logical solution to anything. She can be very stubborn and opinionated towards new ideas. She prefers using books as her main source of information, and she dislikes using things like legends and folktales as a source of information since they aren't supported by facts. Her intelligence is an admirable trait, but it can cause her to be impatient towards others when they aren't as fast as her. She is also very loyal, and would never give up on any goal until she achieves it.

Harry's most admirable and defining trait is his bravery. He is always brave in any situation, which makes many people admire him. He's also very kind, and would always go out of his way to help anyone in need. He is usually very calm, but he sometimes loses his cool, taking out his anger on other people. He can also be untrusting towards other people who may have done something bad to him in the past, like Severus Snape.

In this story, Harry and Hermione will be long-lost friends. They don't remember anything about each other. They do keep a photo of each other, but that's the only thing they can remember.

Harry's perspective

I watched as one by one, the family went through the wall. No matter how many times I watched someone go through, I couldn't help holding my breath and praying that they would be safe. Then, I walked to the mother and asked her how to get to platform 9 3/4. She smiled kindly and told me that I should just run into the wall.

I glanced at her skeptically, then took a deep breath. Okay, here I go… I ran and waited for the wall to slam into my face. One moment passed. Another moment. I opened my eyes. I didn't see a wall. Instead, I saw a platform with a red train. Platform 9 3/4. So it did exist.

After some talking with the same boys I had seen go through the wall earlier, I became friends with the youngest, named Ron. He was the same age as me, and had flashy red hair. When we boarded the train, a trolley came to us and a lady asked if we wanted to buy some candy. I bought a lot of the strange candy and shared some with Ron. I was glad to see his overjoyed face when he saw all of the candy I had bought.

A few minutes later, a boy came to our compartment and asked if we had seen a toad. We said no, and then the two of us decided to try some magic. Just as Ron raised his wand, a bushy-haired girl opened our compartment door. She had large front teeth, brown hair, and a Hogwarts robe.

“Hey, have you seen a toad? Neville's lost one.” Ron said no, but the girl wasn't listening. She was staring at Ron's wand. “Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see it, then.” She sat down on one of the seats and watched.

As Ron failed his attempt at turning his rat yellow, I was deep in thought. Bushy brown hair… large front teeth… where have I seen that? I took out the picture of my childhood friend. Wait… They look so alike! Could it be..?

The girl leaned over the table and looked at the photo. “What's that?” She then gasped. “WHERE DID YOU GET THAT PHOTO?” I said, “This is a photo of my childhood friend. She looks like you, but I don't think it's you. Probably a doppelganger… I don't even remember her name, haha.”

“Wait, let me show you something.” She pulls out a photo. Of me. “Did we… know each other? Were you my friend?”

I stare at the girl's photo. I take a few moments to process the information.

Then, I suddenly remember something. A word. A name. Her name.

“Hermione?”

Hermione's Perspective

I walk onto the Hogwarts Express and find an empty compartment to sit in. I get my book and read it. I'm studying about Hogwarts. It's not that I need to study any more. I just enjoy reading, and there might be something I missed when I read the book last time. I finish re-reading the chapter about the sorting when a loud noise disturbs me. I look over at the compartment across from mine.

A boy with red cheeks is trying to get a toad in a blond-haired boy's hand. The red-cheeked boy jumped around, trying to retrieve the toad. “Give him back! GIVE HIM BACK!” The blond-haired boy seemed unmoved, and laughed. “Ahaha! he's jumping like his toad!” I couldn't stand seeing this jerk laugh at this person. I stood up, opened my compartment door, and charged at him.

The boy saw me, and managed to dodge just in time. I hit my head on a wall, but still glared at him. This time, he seemed scared. He tightened his grip on the toad. “Fine, I'll give it back, if you want it that much.” He then threw the frog across the aisle and ran the opposite direction. I yelled, “Hey! You coward!”

The red-cheeked boy timidly tapped my shoulder and said, “It's pointless to chase after him. Let's go find my toad.” I nodded and we started to search. He ran through the aisle, taking quick glances at the compartments, while I went from compartment to compartment, asking if they had seen a toad.

After a few minutes of searching, I opened a door of a compartment where two boys were doing something. I asked, “Hey, have you seen a toad? Neville’s lost one.” One of the boys, the one with red hair, said no. I wasn’t listening, though. My eyes were set on the wand in his hand. I blurted, “Oh, are you doing magic? Let’s see it, then.” I sat down on the seat next to him and watched.

He took a deep breath before pointing his wand at a rat and saying, “Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid, fat rat yellow.” Nothing happened. I was extremely disappointed at his “magic”. Then, I noticed that the other boy, who had black hair, was staring at something in his hand.

I leaned over the table. “What’s that?” Then, I gasped. It was a photo of a little girl. The little girl had brown bushy hair, and big front teeth. She look just like me. I shouted, “WHERE DID YOU GET THAT PHOTO?” He calmly smiled at me and said, “This is a photo of my childhood friend. She looks like you, but I don't think it's you. Probably a doppelganger… I don't even remember her name, haha.”

I thought about the photo and who it could be. Then, I had an idea. “Wait, let me show you something.” I stuck my hand in my pocket and looked for my photo. I finally found it, and showed it to him. I looked at the photo, and then looked at him. They looked like the same person. It can’t be. He moved far away, and he’s not related to a wizard or witch. I said, “Did we… know each other? Were you my friend?”

He stares at the photo, shocked. The compartment is silent for a few moments. Then, he says something.

“Hermione?”

+482 words +400 points to fairy tales July 3rd Daily!

One time I helped someone was in 2020, where I went volunteering to help hungry children. My day started off normally. I woke up, brushed my teeth, and did my morning routine. My cousins from Maryland were at my house, so I was excited to spend more time with them. Until my aunt called, wanting to go on one of her adventures. Think Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus, always dragging the kids off somewhere. (I’m not complaining, though, that show practically raised me.) I don’t remember the car ride to where we were going much, but I do remember that we ended up in the middle of an arcade. We were so confused, because we thought we were going to a church to volunteer. But then my aunt literally drags us into a creepy backroom with a bunch of 40 year olds talking and piles of plastic tables and processed lunch food.
Basically, we were there to pack lunch items into a lunch box.
And when I say lunch items, I mean every single kid in the country of America’s dream.
Bro they literally had us pack gourmet food items. Those kids were getting a five course meal of literal junk food. They got Twinkies or Oreos or the Ritz crackers I think the most nutritious thing they got in there was an apple. Or maybe those Welch’s fruit snacks. It was literal torture. I don't know if our aunt was mad at us or something but I would rather her just tell us instead of putting us through this. And there were a bunch of 40 year old men staring at you expecting you to like steal something or something like that but you were just forced to keep on packing a bunch of kids dream foods into like premature bento boxes.
So then obviously you would expect that we get like a gigantic treat at the end or something or at least maybe a pack of Oreos for our struggles. But we literally had to choose between that one of them nasty chocolate protein bars, a baby Ruth bar or like some other things and everyone took the good stuff already so we were left with the moldy chocolate bar and the nasty peanut butter two year expired wannabe snickers bar. So my cousin took the baby Ruth bar and I think I took the chocolate bar knowing that it was gonna be horrible because let’s be honest they’re chocolate protein bars but I still took it anyway. They gave us free shirts when we went out. Like are you serious? Free shirts? I mean I'm not complaining but what do you want us to do with it like wear it around protesting when there's a gigantic logo of the church on its front like bro I don't even know who you are I got somewhere to be.

ᵛᵉʳᵃ'ˢ ᵈᵃᶦˡʸ ⁻ ⁷/³/²²

word count: 489

Let me set the scene. It was a warm, sunny, beautiful March 30th, 2019. At the time, I was in second grade. We were going to the park with an enormous amount of baked goods. Gingersnaps that were crispy, bursting with flavor and “a party in your mouth”, as some called it. delicious, topped with sugar, lemon bars, and more. The reason for all these baked goods was because me and my four best friends were having a bake sale. Let's call my friends Miriam, Lily, and Zoe. Okay, now that you know their names, I'm sure you're wondering, why were we having a bake sale? Well, it was for the homeless. All four of us were raising money for the Bowery Mission, which is a nonprofit organization that raises money so homeless people can find homes, have meals, have toiletries, and have access to many other things. When we had all gotten to the park, we had a boatload of desserts. My (old) best friend Lily made apple turnovers with a secret ingredient (the secret ingredient was maple) and vanilla cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles. She used the secret ingredient thing as a deal. If you could guess the secret ingredient, you would get a free dessert of your choice.Miriam made delicious cupcakes with mounds of frosting and some great chocolate chip cookies. Lastly, Zoe made cupcakes that, if there were an award for coolest-looking, Zoe definitely should have won it. Her cupcakes were vanilla and birthday cake flavored, and they had brightly colored frosting covering the outside. They had gel frosting surrounding the frosting in intricate patterns, and there were gummy worms, gummy bears, and gumdrops decorating the cupcake. The best part, though, in my perspective, was the amazing paper umbrellas on the top. They were beautiful, but they also completed the summer vibe. Zoe's cupcakes were the first things to sell out, so I never got to taste one, but I'm sure they tasted absolutely incredible! In the end, we raised $413 to donate to the homeless. The fun part about our bake sale was that it was pay what you wish, so everybody paid a ridiculous amount of money. We were so excited to be donating all of that, and we celebrated by stuffing our faces with our leftover goods. But of course, that wasn’t the end! Later that year, we did another bake sale! In the next splendiferous bake sale, we raised (guess how much!) 536 dollars! And earlier this year, me and my Ukranian friend Lila (not her real name) had a bake sale raising money for Ukraine. A whole bunch of other people chipped in and brought baked goods to our school, and we sold all of those right outside the school and we raised over 2000 dollars to donate to Razom and Voices for Children Foundation (nonprofit organizations supporting Ukraine). We were so happy to be helping in whatever way we could.

July 2022 SWC Writing Megathread

Daily 7/3
——
This whole situation took place about two years ago- It was a warm and sunny day at school, which was to be expected because it was late springtime after all. I'd just come from P.E., which made everything seem a million times hotter than it actually was.
I headed inside the classroom, feeling excited because it was my last period of the day- then I could go home and relax.
After my teacher–we'll just call her Ms. Goat, because why not–took attendance, she explained that those people whose parents came to the open house and filed out this complicated packet would get a gift. So Ms. Goat walked around the classroom, passing out small pieces of jewelry to the students that did attend the open house.
A shell bracelet dropped in front of me, and I picked it up–carefully–to look at it. It was beautiful. Probably the most gorgeous piece of jewelry I'd ever seen. It had a white thread, and different color shells wrapping around the sides of the thread, weaving together to form the bracelet.
I was so excited about this bracelet, and even just holding it felt special. I slipped the pretty shell bracelet onto my wrist, surprised at how well it actually fit. It was perfect.
But then I looked over at the desk next to me- a girl sat there, looking jealously at all the prizes the students were getting, and then glancing at her own desk, which was empty.
My heart seemed to sink for her. Despite not knowing this girl at all, I still felt really bad for her. I then stared long and hard at my own bracelet, thinking, Do I really need this, or will that girl enjoy it more than me?
And the answer to that question was yes. She would.
So I slipped the bracelet off of my wrist and tapped the girl on the shoulder. She turned around, all emotions in her eyes. “Hi,” she mumbled shyly.
“Hi! Uh, I just was wondering if you'd like to have this bracelet. It's all yours if you want it.” I asked her, holding it out to her.
The girl gasped. “Really?”
“Of course, ” I said with a nod.
The girl accepted the bracelet from my hand, a bright smile spreading across her face. “Thank you. Thank you so, so much.”
As we both walked in the opposite direction, I didn't have any regrets at all. Sure, I might miss it a little, but seeing that girl so happy was worth it.

**Warning, contains spoilers from Warriors: The Prophecies Begin**

Ref sheet for Whitestorm from Warriors; The Prophecies Begin, books 1-6

Series continuing or ended?: First arc, ended. Franchise, continuing.

Pronouns: he/him
Sexuality: Straight
Species: Cat

General view of life: purposeful

Relationships:
Mate - Willowpelt & Brindleface
Friends - Firestar (leader), Graystripe, Sandstorm (apprentice), Brightheart (apprentice), WIllowpelt (mate), Brindleface (mate), Bluestar (leader), Patchpelt (mentor), +more
Family: Snowfur (mother), Thistleclaw (father), Ferncloud (kit), Sorreltail (kit), Ashfur (kit), Elderkit (kit), Tulipkit (kit), Sootfur (kit), Rainwhisker (kit)

Tendencies:
- To think more deeply than most, making him question other's choices.
- To put Clan loyalty before his own health and safety
- Overworking for the good of the Clan

Strengths:
- Bravery
- Strength
- Loyalty
- Agile
- Wise

Situations (note: I had to modify the scenarios slightly, as they need to fit for cats)
Character has to tend to multiple cats, but doesn't have enough supplies for everyone.
- Remains calm
- Assess situation carefully
- Gives the more serious injuries more attention
- Gives weaker cats more attention

All members of the clan must cross the frozen river, which will only be able to hold a few cats before the ice breaks
- Stays calm
- Sends the smaller, weaker cats first
- Sends strong warriors next
- Sends strong swimmers after them
- Leaves himself for last

While engaged in battle, this character notices that another cat of its Clan is struggling
- Yowls for someone to help the other cat
- Finishes the battle he was in
- Goes to help the other cat if still needed

For the scenario, I have chosen this: Whitestorm's Clan is being attacked by a group of rouges. He sees a rouge carrying off a kit, but it is not from his Clan.

TW: Contains battles, a little bit of bl00d, implied d3ath, and other related topics.
The black-spotted tom was fairly weak, it was becoming an easy battle. If he wanted to, he could've ended his opponent right then, but let him escape, knowing that his rage of the attack was not worth breaking the Warrior Code. As it stated, no Clan cat fights to kill unless their opponent is breaking the Warrior Code or if it is necessary for self-defense. Right now, neither of these exceptions were happening. He quickly rushed over to Sandstorm, who was tangling with a large, muscular dark brown tabby tom. He lunged onto its back and pried him off of Sandstorm. The tom bounded off into the bushes, as the tom Whitestorm had been battling with had.
“Thanks, Whitestorm,” Sandstorm flicked her tail before running off to help Firestar.
Whitestorm was about to help Cloudtail when he saw a black kit being carried into the ravine by a grey she-cat with white paws and muzzle. It was wailing desperately, crying for its mother. This was no ThunderClan kit, but it was still a kit. The Warrior Code states that no warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, no matter its loyalties. Whitestorm was about to chase after it when he remembered his Clan was still engaged in battle, one that he might be needed in. Plus, when he left, nobody would know where he was, which is the last thing a leader would want to worry about right after a mysterious battle against unknown rouges. He was torn between two decisions. The cat carrying off the kit had stopped to try and console the wailing kit. To avoid being spotted, or out of motherly love? He could not tell from such a distance. Whitestorm then glanced at the red-stained battlefield. All but three cats on the field were engaged in battle. Cinderpelt, a rouge, and Sandstorm. Each of them seemed to be extremely busy hopping from cat to cat. The rogues were retreating quickly, and ThunderClan seemed to be winning, so Whitestorm figured he should attempt to rescue the kit. He dashed out of camp and through the forest, searching for the she-cat kit-napper. Suddenly, he picked up the scent of RiverClan. He whirled around to see the grey she-cat holding the kit.
“Willowpelt?” Whitestorm whispered. “Is that you?”
“Yes, Whitestorm. I have come to visit you from StarClan. I know a battle was coming, and came to warn you, but I saw this RiverClan kit.” Willowpelt explained. “It was in the entrance of the camp. I figured I had to get it out of the danger of battle.”
“I miss you, Willowpelt.” Whitestorm meowed. “Everyone does.”
“I miss you too,” Willowpelt mewed. “But you need to get back to camp and help your Clan.”
“Yes, of course.” Whitestorm replied. “Go return the kit, I shall see you soon, it's only a matter of time.”
“Indeed, but you should enjoy your time while you may,” Willowpelt pressed her flank against his. “Watch out for our kits. I have a feeling the rouges will be back.”
“I will.” Whitestorm promised. “Goodbye, Willowpelt.”
Whitestorm went back to camp to find the fight had resolved. Everyone had been looking for him. He lied and told them that he had gone to follow a rouge back to its camp. He was the only one to ever now about Willowpelt's visit, or the impending danger that may come upon the forest. Little did he know, that it was coming soon. . . .

Part two:

**Warning, contains spoilers from the first Harry Potter book**

I will be choosing Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley from the Harry Potter series for this part of the weekly.
Hermione:
Hermione is an extremely intelligent and trustworthy, which is quite unlike her friends. As her friends are opposite-minded, she feels the need to watch over them and keep them out of trouble. When she sets her mind on something, she learns everything possible about the task at hand in order to complete it. When someone she cares for is hurt, she uses her knowledge to her power in order to help them recover. Her preparedness also helps here. She hates injustice, and is not afraid to speak out against it. She quickly warms up to those who support the same causes as herself. In summary, Hermione Granger is a loyal, smart, persevering, loving leader, who is prepared to do anything that is right.

+123 words

Ronald:
Ronald, often called Ron, is not the most open-minded, nor the most full-minded, person in the world. Sometimes, he can be very unaware of the dangers or answers that are very close to him, so he constantly relies on Hermione's brain. He never tries hard on schoolwork, so he often fails. Hermione often tries to get him to study, but he ignores her. Ron pushes aside many of his feelings in order to get done what needs to be done, this leads him to the inability to understand others' feelings. In summary, Ronald Weasley is an oblivious, unsympathetic, small-minded, a dependent, young man.

+103 words

For the recollection, I will be using the time when Ron battled the chess pieces in the first book.

Hermione:
I remember that night very vividly, as it marked the beginning of our adventures together. “Our”, being Harry, Ron, and myself. We had suspected that Professor Severus Snape was planning to steal the Sorcerer's Stone, although looking back, he was actually attempting the opposite. He had been suspicious of Professor Quirrel since he had joined the Hogwarts staff, and was attempting to stop his plans. The soul of The Dark Lord was taking refuge in the body of this professor, who was attempting to kill Harry. We did not know this at the time, the time we stormed into the secret room on the third floor. After putting Fluffy to sleep, we made our way through the devil's snare, not the most gracefully I might add, next into the room of keys, then into the chess chamber. Ronald, a practical expert on wizard's chess, volunteered to ride the chess pieces and instruct us through the board. It had been an extremely tight game, a bit harsh by my standards. of course, I was brought up by muggles, and was used to muggle chess, which is far less murderous. There were a few pieces left on the board, and the game was coming to a cruel end. The only way for us to continue to stop who we thought was Snape, was for Ronald to sacrifice himself. Over the course of the year, my affection towards him had done nothing but grown, and I could never have imagined ending our small relationship so fast. I begged him to back down, saying we didn't need this, it wasn't worth it.
His response was, “Harry, it's you who needs to go on. Not me, not Hermione, you!”
I desperately wanted to argue against this, but it was true. Harry was destined to save us from whatever lied beyond those doors. I fought back tears as Ron's chess piece slowly advanced forward. As the knight piece moved forward, holding its axe high above Ronald's head, I clung to Harry's arm and buried my head into his shoulder and screamed. The sound of the axe slicing through the air and the sound of crumbling stone was enough to scare some people to death. I was almost too afraid to look up and see the damage the knight had done to my friend. As I slowly peeled myself off of Harry, I saw that the door was open, and blue flames just beyond it. I looked over to see Ron lying on the floor, half-buried in rubble. I ran over to see it chest rising and falling. As I dragged him off to the side of the board, I told Harry to go on and save us all. I would stay with Ron until he recovered enough to move on. We never did join him, as Ron didn't awake until much later, and to this day, I still do not know exactly what went on in that room, but I know I made the right choice by staying with Ron.
+504 words

Ronald:
True, I recall that night, but not too fondly. I don't remember much, not anything after my sacrifice, but I'll tell what I can. We had made it through a three-headed dog's home, a giant, killer, tangly plant that I totally didn't almost die in, and room filled with demonic flying keys. We had found our way into as room with a giant chess board and living chess pieces. If I didn't know better, blimey, I would've thought this was a dream. I loved wizards' chess, I was practically an expert, but this wasn't normal. Just beyond the board, there was a big pair of golden doors calling Harry's name. I knew he was destined to walk through those, without me most likely, but walk through it all the same. I knew what I had to do, all jealousy aside, and I took my place as commander. I rode like a soldier, bravely and purposeful, and while I enjoyed most of it, I knew how it was to end. These were living chess pieces, and I could only survive so long against things that were built to win this game. I moved Harry and Hermione to the end of the board safely, and they were able to get out of the game, but I was still in. I was the one who's fate could determine the destiny of the world. I always had a flare for the dramatic sense of life, I know. Any way, it was up to me, I was spaces away from a bloodthirsty knight, who wielded a powerful axe. I knew what I was to do, and I was to make a worthy sacrifice. I took as deep breath and gave Harry a look that said everything. Harry shook his head harshly.
“I've got to do this, you know it, Harry.” I whispered.
“Do what?” Hermione cried out. “Harry, what's he going to do?”
“Sacrifice himself, Hermione, he's going to sacrifice himself so that we can go on!”
“No, Ron!” Hermione turned to me. “It's not worth it! It's just a game, we'll be fine. Ron come on! Get off!”
"No, it you who has to go on, Harry. Not me, not Hermione, you!“ I argued. ”Besides, you can't stop me."
I muttered the words that would carry my piece to the knight in front of me, the one who was destined to end the game. As slowly as it was terrifying, he held the axe above his head and advanced towards me. I was only a tiny bit scared, but I didn't show it. I had to be brave as the axe came crashing down on the front of my piece, knocking me backwards. I fell unconscious then, so I don't remember what happened after that. I've been told that Harry defeated Professor Quirell, who had Voldemort on the back of his head, and Hermione stayed back to help me. That's all I can tell you for sure. Until next time, mate!

*cries* I couldn't do part three in time, so the optimist in me tried to tackle part four instead.
Warning: this is extremely weird and makes absolutely no sense. Also, credits to @PaigeTurnerE for creating Stan the overcooked salmon.
“No, no, no, no!” Tori cried. “No! I've worked so hard! I've completed two parts of the weekly!” The weekly was to end in an hour, and Tori was to go to bed in thirty minutes. There was no chance of her finishing in time.
“All of that work down the drain!” She wailed. “I wouldn't stand a chance, even if I understood part 3. What good am I to my cabin f I can't do this?”
All of a sudden, a glowing rainbow fish with feet appeared out of nowhere, leaving a golden vibe behind. “Nonsense,” he whispered in an oddly comforting distorted voice. The vision of the fish was rippling, and cheesy rom-com music was playing.
“What is happening?” Tori demanded. “Who are you?”
“Don't you remember me from last session?” The fish whined, slumping down slightly. “I'm Stan the overcooked salmon!”
“Stan?” Tori whispered. “Is that really you?”
The fish nodded and asked Tori if she needed some fish wisdom, from the most knowledgeable fish of all. He told her that the weekly did not need to be completed to make her feel completed. Her cabin mates would love her just the same, because in the end, the words that she wrote toward the weekly would count for points. Plus, she'd been fighting all day in cabin wars, while juggling her personal life. She was doing the best she could.
“Th-thank you, Stan,” Tori breathed out, flabbergasted by the infinite wisdom the fish possessed. “So you're saying that this is enough?”
“That is what I'm saying.” Stan agreed. “Everyone is enough for their cabin. Life is prioritized over SWC. You are okay.”
“You're the best, Stan!” Millions of people who randomly appeared chanted. Stan smiled, winked at Tori, then poofed into the oblivion.
“Ah, I love Stan.”

So… I may as well write about the time I helped my friend out with French homework because I can think of nothing else
—–
July 3rd daily || 402 words
—–
One day… a day not too long ago actually, my French teacher walked into class and said this:
“Ok class, after looking at recipes a bit, we shall now write one ourselves! Hopefully you brought a recipe that appealed to you!” I was actually quite excited! I had a recipe for babka in my hand, ready to be put in French!
But… this story isn't about me and my French skills, maybe another day. It's about my best friend, and we will call her Ally.
Anyways, I looked at the desk in front of me, and then the desk beside that desk. Figures, Ally's gone again… I thought. She was then gone the next day, and guess what, the day after that too. But then…
I believe it was the next Monday that I saw her walk to her desk at the first lunch break of the day. Good, she was in time for French class, as it was right before the second lunch break.
French class started, and we had a supply teacher, a new one who was actually my daycare educator a couple of years back. I saw Ally opening an empty document on her computer. Of course she didn't do any of her work at home, why would she? I was already finished and she had just begun on the day the assignment was due.
(In this story, I shall call myself T-T, as that's my nickname)
“T-T! Can you help me???” asked Ally, looking at me. I refused for a moment. “Please?” she begged.
“Fine…” I said, standing up and moving my chair over to her desk. I placed the chair right beside hers.
“Yay!” she exclaimed in her usual energetic voice.

I started helping her, along with one of her friends who was having a bit of trouble. I helped her put words in a grammatically correct way and told her a few simple words. Suddenly…
“T-T!” exclaimed the teacher. “Don't be helping Ally too much!” she continued. I rolled my eyes when she looked away and continued helping. Ally was obviously quite pleased, until…
“You're helping her too much!” called the teacher, coming up to us. “Move back to your desk and stop helping her!” called the teacher. I obeyed. It was getting somewhat close to the end of class and I sneaked a bit closer to Ally.
“Don't worry, I'll help you tonight through a call.” I whispered. She nodded as I moved back to my desk.

In cabin daily: write about sleep:

Sleep was invented when creatures were invented and therefore, sleep is important, otherwise it wouldn’t have been one of the earliest inventions. Humans and many animals use sleep as a way to recharge and process the day. Humans will experience dreams which help order memories and go through the day they experienced. Sleep can help someone with stress, because they are asleep and they kind of get a restart the next day. Also worrying is hard when you’re sleeping. If you sleep often and well you will be at less risk for heart diseases and diabetes. That means sleeping helps your immunity and your health. Sleep can also benefit your mood and make the next day a lot better. Such as, helping with social skills and school work. A good night's sleep can make for a way more productive day and a fun one too. Never forget that sleep is a healthy way to stay happy and is a key way to stay healthy and not die. Therefore, always sleep, because sleeping helps!

July 3rd Daily
prompt: an act of kindness (326 words)
Note: Characters' names have been changed for privacy.
So I'm not sure if this counts as an act of kindness, but I couldn't think of anything else. Anyway, here's the story!
I fidgeted with my pencil as I doodled in the margins. Ms Smith's math class was so boring! I wasn't really paying attention as she drawled on and on about percentages and probability. I knew I should probably listen, but her math was so confusing and boring, and I knew how to do it in a much easier way. Half of my brain said to try and focus, and the other half felt too tired to do anything.
So when that math worksheet rolled around and onto my table, I knew I had messed up. So I really only had two choices.
Choice 1: Ask my friend sitting next to me, Lily, to try and help me out. She may or may not have been listening either, so who knows if she would get it right.
Choice 2: Ask my older brother, David, for help later at home. I would probably get all the answers right, but it would probably take forever and he would have to explain every single problem like he always does when he helps me.
I liked my chances with Choice Two more, so I turned my chair to Lily.
“Hey Lily, do you know how to do problems 2-5?”
“Yeah. Do you need help?”
I nodded, and she scribbled on her whiteboard the solution and how she got it. We worked through the problems with the same concept together, and I sort of knew what I was doing. However, I noticed she had a few problems unanswered.
“You have some problems unanswered. Do you need help with those?”
“Yeah, do you know how to do these?”
I told her I did, and we worked through the problems in the same way she helped me. I felt glad that could help out, and that I wasn't completely stupid.

The Fourth Ice Cream Cone

I could see a dark night through the windows that must have been chilly. It was late after we had all already eaten dinner. I was inside my house, playing on my computer, while my brother and sister were on the couch playing with their phones. My mom walked into the garage where the big freezer was, and pulled out frozen ice cream cones from the fridge. Earlier, before we had dinner, I had helped her with setting up the table and getting ready for dinner. On the other hand, my sister and brother had tried to pretend they couldn't hear my mother calling their names. My mother didn't like to eat ice cream, and of course, there was four ice cream cones. I thought we would just put the fourth ice cream cone back in the fridge for some other time, or someone else, but to my shock… My mother handed two of the frozen ice cream cones to me! I didn't know what to say. I definitely couldn't eat two, I wasn't that hungry, and to be honest they weren't that good.. Though I was confused as to why she had given me the fourth one. I asked her with a look of confusion displayed across my face.

“Since you helped with dinner earlier, and your siblings didn't move an inch.” She answered, stepping out of the garage. She had given me the other ice cream cones to hand out to my sister and brother. I followed her steps and walked out of the garage. I walked to the couch and handed one of the frozen ice cream cones to my brother, then one of the frozen ice cream cones to my sister. I barely heard my mother say, “or you can give it to your father”. I walked down the hallway into my dad's room and handed one of my ice cream cones to my dad.

Daily 7/3

Years ago, I was at a holiday family gathering with two of my cousins. One of the cousins (we’ll call her Kathy) was a year or two older than me. We were very close, despite only being able to see each other a few times a year, and I looked up to her a lot. The other cousin (we’ll call her Melody) was around my age. She was visiting with her family from Japan, her home country. (Keep in mind that we were in the United States.) Besides my sisters, who were too young to really play with us, we were the only kids there. We basically had to entertain ourselves while the adults did what adults do at these kinds of gatherings. Anyways, Melody’s first language was Japanese. She understood very little English, which was the only language Kathy and I knew. As you can imagine, it was difficult for the three of us to communicate. Kathy quickly grew impatient with Melody and tried to get me to play without her. I loved spending time with my older cousin, but at the same time I felt guilty about excluding Melody. In the end I tried to include them both into whatever game we were playing. Kathy became disgruntled and eventually abandoned us. And then my family went home early, and I have no idea how things proceeded from there.

If I’m being honest, that night wasn’t enjoyable for any of us. I was trying and failing to have fun with my cousins, and Melody was trying and failing to have fun with her cousins, and Kathy was frustrated with both of us. But I guess I did commit an act of kindness: I tried to include both of my cousins, even though it would have been easier to ignore Melody and go off with Kathy. And given the choice, I wouldn’t change any of my actions. I would rather do the right thing than the easy thing, even if it means giving up something precious like time with a person you don’t get to see often. At least, that’s what I like to think.

Word count: 355

Writing this made me realize how much I miss my cousins. I haven’t seen Kathy since New Year’s 2020, and Melody for even longer. I hope I get to see them soon. And yes, Kathy and Melody aren’t their real names. I used fake ones for privacy reasons.

“Socks…socks…socks… where are they!?”
Huckleberry Pie, music extraordinaire and Berryworks business owner was late for an important meeting at the Berryworks. If he can't find his socks now, he would be late and everyone would NOT be happy. What will he do now??

The day before…

“Attention everyone!!” sounded Bread pudding's loudspeaker. “Tomorrow morning there will be an announcement that will change the whole of the Berryworks!! all food truck owners will be expected to be there at 9.00 SHARP!” Y-yes, food truck owners…“ He looked straight at Huckleberry Pie, who had owned a truck that served as a karaoke and music station where people would drop by to play music and sing. ”And remember, if you miss the announcement… er… bad things will happen!!“ Bread yelled again.

Yeah, sure, ”bad things will happen“. That's so typical of Bread, always sniffing in people's business and complaining about Huck's music. It's kind of sad.
Strawberry Shortcake, his best friend, had emerged from her lovely, pink strawberry-themed truck where she sold cakes and baked goods. She waved over to Huck.
”Hey Huck!“ she smiled. ”I wonder what's Bread going on about today. It's weird.“
”Yeah!“ agreed with a voice next to him. It was Orange Blossom, a tall, athletic girl who run a green-and-orange stall that sold smoothies.”But whatever it is, it seems super important.“
”I guess.“ Huckleberry Pie shrugged.

He forgot about it for the rest of the day and only remembered it when his clock ticked to 8.55. He immediately jumped out of bed, disturbing his bright red pet ferret, Red Hot, from his sleep. Okay, this was the routine. First: eat breakfast. Second: brush his teeth. Third: change out of pajamas. Fourth: grab his guitar: Fifth: get out of his apartment block. Huck skipped breakfast, and so went straight onto hurriedly bushing his teeth for a few seconds and dashed into his bedroom and frantically pulled on a shirt, some jeans, and another navy striped jacket-shirt and rummaged through his wardrobe for matching socks.
”Socks… socks.. socks… where are they?“ he muttered.

Unfortunately for him, there were none.
Oh great, there was no time to lose. The clock had now ticked to 8.58 and he had no time to waste. Hastily, he pulled on two random socks and then his shoes and bolted out of his block, leaving his precious guitar. And a disappointed Red Hot.

It was 9.01. Everyone was crowding around the middle, where Bread Pudding stood with his loudspeaker.
”Gosh! Am I late?“ said Huck, pausing to catch his breath.
”Well, kind of.“ Began Orange.
”Bread just announced that the Berryworks may be closing," Finished Strawberry.
Huckleberry Pie felt his shoulder drop.

Part 2. Character Voice:961 words =0

Nastaysya: Nastasya grew up in the forest and is brave and loyal, trying to save Anatoly from Smey the dragon with arrows. She is also caring and kind, leaving Yanka to the Bear Tsarina. As in that, she is brave in a caring way and is not afraid to stand up to dragons for loved ones. I imagine her putting on brave faces and expressions warriors use and taking time to speak softly to baby Yanka and the Bear Tsarina. She is resourceful, making arrows that could cool down a dragon's heart. and brave, with her attempt to save Anatoly. She is overall a role model: brave to the ones she cares about and kind and caring when she knows when to put her the trust of others when there is danger.

The Bear Tsarina: The Bear Tsarina is a wise and motherly figure, taking care and loving her family and their families. She happily takes the huge responsibility to take baby Yanka into her care while Nastasya goes off and saves Anatoly from the wrath of Smey. While this may not be in the piece, she is also sweet and independent, going off into the forest as a young girl and living there and then living there as a grown-up with her new family. She is also known to notice things a lot when her husband the woodsman gives her and their child strange gifts such as glittering jewels, a grand castle, and then being eventually cursed into bears. By then she is known as the Bear Tsarina and is soft and kind.

The scene is taken from The Girl Who Speaks Bear When Nastasya gives the Bear Tsarina Baby Yanka in the backstory:

Nastasya:

The wind whipped around me as I made a quick detour to the Blue Mountain. I knew there was someone in there to help me and take care of Yanka while I went to rescue Anatoly, as a dragon's lair is no place for a baby. I had to be quick as I can, with such thoughts that swirled around my mind like an endless snowstorm: I had to be quick. Be quick. What if Anatoly was already eaten or something. What if it was too late?

There were no do-overs in this. No second chance. The Mountain was not far away if I go up on light feet. Yanka was crying. I softly whispered a quick, hurried lullaby as I rushed through the never-ending, snow-capped forest. I thought about how much my husband needed me, and I was given a sudden boost of speed to push me forward. My quiver was shaking and rattling as I hurtled through the forest. I leaped across stray ice floes, not giving a second thought to crossing the wide river that ran through the forest. I kept going. Thoughts came to me one after the other. Not far now… Anatoly could be eaten by now… need a plan.

The Blue Mountain came into sight. I didn't stop running, and urged myself forward, pushing to the finish line, hurriedly whispering to Yanka
“It'll be fine now. You'll be taken care of by your grandmother now. Mama will come to pick you up tomorrow after she saved Papa from Smey the dragon.” Yanka whimpered.
I attached her to my back once I reached the grand mountain. I started climbing with all my tired muscles until they were screaming. Not long now. Just need to get Yanka to the Bear Tsarina, make some powerful arrows, and run back to Smey.

Not an easy task.

The mouth of the Cave. Finally. The Bear Tsarina, peacefully snoozing on the stone floor. She woke up the minute I entered. She growled what I think would be: ”Nastasya? What's the matter?“
”Can you please take care of Yanka?“ I asked quickly. ”I need to go save Anatoly from Smey.

The Bear Tsarina:

“Of course, my dear. But why is Anatoly in the clutches of the fire-breathing Smey? He is a dangerous three-headed dragon.”
Nastasya, paused for a moment, trying to guess what I was saying, and said.
“Were you wondering about Anatoly? Well, I would talk about it, but I can't right now. He is in danger and-”
“I know. I will be more than glad t take I'm Yanka and show her the forest for a little while.”
“Thank you.”

She laid down the bundle of swaddling cloth as I came over. In the bundle was a baby, with growing, short brown hairs the colour of bear fur. She had freckles and a warm smile. She looks just like her father. With my paws, I scooched her into the darkness as Nastasya rushed out where I could hear her carving arrowheads made of blue ice from the mountain.
“Well,” I chuckled softly to myself. “As long as she doesn't dig the entire roof off, eh? Then we would; don't be drenched in rain and snow that come through the night and day.”

I then glanced down at Yanka and I could already see the bear features growing on her. She's going to wake up as a bear tomorrow. She's half and half, like my son Anatoly. My mind then drifted off to him. Why would he be Smey's volcano? I lay back and clear my thought, Maybe if I try t remember something, then it'll be clear…
The curse that had made me and my husband bears came from the magical Lime Tree and the squirrels told me how a foul volcano with risen from its roots then came Smey. Was my son trying to break the curse. It seems almost impossible. Death-defying, perhaps…

Yanka was already a bear. I looked down at her and my heart glowed. Whatever happened to her parents, whether they live or not, whether my son and his wife come back with burns the size of the sea, she would be safe with me.

Part 3. Fanfic Tropes:809 words
I used Magic AU, An Original Character, and a Crossover

“Err, Greg, where are we?”
No reply.

Rowley surveyed his surrounding as he opened his eyes. He was not in Greg's living room but in an entirely different place. The sun was a bright square amongst rectangular clouds. The wood and leaves in the trees were made of cubes… no… Rowley's eyes widened as he realised what they were. Blocks.

Rowley was trapped in a video game. Namely Minecraft. And where was Greg in all of this??

He heard a groan a few feet away from him. Waking up and rubbing his head was Greg's Minecraft skin. As soon as he noticed Rowley, he immediately stood up and stared at him.
“Rowley??” He gasped.
“Did we get trapped in Minecraft!!?” Rowley replied. The truth was finally sinking into his bones.

Oh no. what if he never saw his parents again? He felt his eyes prickling with tears.
“Well, yeah, what does it look like what happened? replied Greg. ”I'm gonna go punch a tree.“
But Rowley stayed
m fixed on the spot. He heard himself sniffling, and the thought of his home circled his thoughts. Greg stopped in his tracks and looked around at his friend.

”Oh, what now?“ he moaned.
”We'll never see our parents again… And Greg, we might die out here!! We could get exploded by a creeper for real and-“

”Rowley!“ Greg snapped. ”As you are so scared about everything, why won't you just go make yourself useful for once and get enough wool for two beds so we could sleep the night off! Then you can stop worrying about creepers!“
”Where?“
In some cave or other, and yes, I will get some coal for torches! Just go get the wool!”

Rowley nodded and set off to look for sheep, still upset about his parents. He should know by now, that Greg was scared himself but never liked to show his fear when he was around him. He spotted a sheep grazing some grass, and, trying not to shy away, pounced.

“Hellooooooo there!!” chirped a voice behind him.
Rowley's scream, which was rising in him ever since he woke up in Minecraft, burst out of him. It rang high and clear throughout the forest, and so loud that he jumped high into the sky.

And didn't fall.

He looked at himself, floating in the sky. He screamed again, and still didn't come down until the person yelled “You can fly!!?”
“NO!!” Rowley wailed. “Oh, oh I am!!” He spread his arms and began to glide smoothly in the breeze like a bird. “Oh my, I can!”

“May I join you up there?” Said the person. As they said that, they transformed into a giant, ghost-like monster and joined and floated up into the sky.
The person could turn into a ghast. Rowley shrieked.
“ROWLEY!!!” screamed Greg's voice. Rowley saw the sheer terror on his friend's face and screamed back.

Then Greg did a miraculous thing.
He crouched down and a blue glowing light shone within him. He opened up and produced a blue sonic boom attack. Like the Warden.
The ghast then shrunk down to a young girl and fell from the sky, where she landed on top of the rooftop of her house.
“Aw, what was that for?” She said wearily, sitting up and rubbing her bruises. “I wasn't going to aim at your friend, you know.”

But Greg wasn't listening, Instead, he looked down at his hands, breathing heavily as if he ran a marathon. Rowley lowered himself down to the ground.
“Did I just… do that?” Greg panted. “The thing the Warden does?”
“I just flew,” Rowley replied softly.
“Oh, where are my manners?” interrupted the girl, who jumped off her roof into her small wheat field. “My name's Yayalicious and I like to explore!” She looked at the two boys expectantly. “And I was a ghast who turned into a human then was given the power to switch between the two, by the way.”

“I'm Greg and this is my mate Rowley,” Greg mumbled, gesturing at Rowley. “And we need to get back home without getting rid of our powers.”
“Oh, that might not work.” shrugged Yayalicious.
“How!!!? And what kind of a name is Yayalicious!!?” Greg snapped again. “Oh, why can't we keep our powers??”

“Greg,” said Yayalicious. “Your powers belong here, in Minecraft. Some things you can't have both ways, and you have a lot to learn in life.”
“How do you know?? You just met me!”
“I know.”! spoke up Rowey. “Your not perfect, and I'm not perfect. Nobody's perfect. And anyway, do you know how we'll get home, Yayalicious?”
the ghast girl thought for a while, and then finally said. “Hmm, if you tell me how you got here, in the first place, we could maybe work out how to get you two home by about… tomorrow midday?”

“Sure!” Greg and Rowley replied simultaneously.

☆ 366 words || 400 points ☆

It’s kind of embarrassing how long it took for me to think of something nice I’ve done for someone else.. Anyway, my friend “Gary” once introduced me and my friends to two of his friends from his old school, “Jake” and “Vicky.” They are both a year younger than me and Gary. Jake was just as friendly to me as he was to everyone else, but I always felt like Vicky had something against me..? I would say hello and try to talk to her but she would blatantly ignore me; instead she would turn her back on me and talk to Gary or Jake. We were in drama club together and when Gary invited me to their group, Vicky obviously didn’t want me there, and seemed to try her best to ignore me. I used to go sit at Gary’s table at lunch when I had nowhere to sit, and Vicky always found a way to either have all her friends leave the table or make me go sit somewhere else. I eventually stopped trying to talk to her, it was clear that she didn’t want to be friends.
One day we were on the field playing a game when Vicky tripped and hurt her knee. I took Vicky to the nurse then went back for her backpack. I have no idea what Vicky carried in there, but man, it was heavy! As I was carrying both our backpacks the bell rang for next period. I walked as fast as I could to the office and then to my next class.
After that incident Vicky became less distant towards me. One day at lunch Vicky and Jake got kicked off their table and asked to sit with me and my friends. This time she was friendly towards me and included me in her conversation. Also, our play for drama was coming up, and Vicky had volunteered to be costumes manager. She was super nice to me the whole time she was helping me with my costume, and by the end I really feel like we could be friends!
So, doing something nice for her ended up to be a good idea for me

❝…Or worse, EXPELLED.❞

Prompt: My character has just been framed for something they didn't do and is being interrogated by the police.

word count: 671

15 year-old Hermione Granger was preparing for another day at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. She brushed her hair and put it up in a beautiful bun, brushed her teeth, and put on her long, black robes. As she walked down the spiral staircase from the girl's dormitory, she adjusts her red and yellow tie, which represents the house of Gryffindor. Suddenly, at least 10 men wearing the signs of Azkaban Prison. “Hello,” Hermione said, “Can I help you?” “Yes” said one of the men, gruffly, “We're looking for a little delinquent who goes by the name of…” The man paused, and pulled out a small scrap of paper. “Somebody by the name of Hermione Granger” The man finished. Hermione's eyes grew wide, and she said, “Why do you need her?” Inside, Hermione's heart was beating quickly. Why did they want her? She was scared. Genuinely scared. What did she do? Luckily, another Azkaban guard answered that question for her. “Hermione Granger has stolen the Goblet of Fire.” The guard said. “Now be a nice little girl and tell us where she is.” Hermione knew she hadn't stolen the Goblet of Fire, so she knew she had nothing to worry about. Still, she was nervous. But, she knew she couldn't lie to the guards, it wasn't right. So, she told the guards, “I am Hermione Granger, but I swear I didn't steal the Goblet of Fire!” The guards clearly didn't believe her because they said, “Sorry sweetheart. You stole it, all right”, and grabbed her by the arms and dragged her to the interrogation room. Once they were there, the guards strapped Hermione to a metal chair. “Do you have an alibi for yesterday night?” the guards asked. Hermione sighed in relief. She had an alibi, thank goodness. “Yes. Yes I do” Hermione said, “I was with my friends Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.” “Harry Potter!” a guard said loudly, "You know him?“ ”Yes.“ Hermione said, ”He's my best friend.“ ”Interesting…“ a guard said, ”Can you have them come here? For confirmation?“ ”Well, I can't.“ Hermione said defiantly, ”I'm strapped to a chair.“ The guards rolled their eyes. ”Fine.“ the gruff guard said, ”I'll go and get them.“ As he left the room, Hermione heard the guard mutter, ”Kids these days…“ When he came back, Harry and Ron were with him. They ran to Hermione. ”Hermione!“ Harry said, ”What happened? Are you okay?“ ”What are you doing strapped to a chair?“ Ron asked. ”Studying, Ron!“ Hermione snapped back, sarcastically. ”Your girlfriend here is strapped to a chair because she has STOLEN THE GOBLET OF FIRE!“ a guard said, pointing the answer to Ron. ”Whoa whoa whoa! Hermione?“ Ron said obliviously, ”Steal the Goblet of Fire? Also, she's not my girlfriend!“ A guard decided to challenge Ron and Harry. ”Oh yeah?“ He said, ”Well, then can you confirm that Ms. Granger was out with you two last night, while the robbery was taking place?“ ”Yes!“ Harry said, exasperated, ”We were out in Hogsmeade, at Honeydukes! See, I have the receipt right here in my pocket.“ Harry pulled a Honeydukes receipt out of his pocket. ”See?“ he said, showing the guard the receipt, ”We did go to Honeydukes last night! Look at the date on the receipt!“ A guard with locks of curly blonde hair snatched that from his hand. ”Let me see that!“ he growled. Then, looking surprised, he said (in a much calmer voice), ”It looks like the kids did go to Honeydukes! And they got Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans! My favorite! I think we should believe ‘em.“ The guard passed the receipt around to the guards, and they all finally realized that they caught the wrong thief. ”We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience, ma'am“ the gruff guard said. ”Oh, it's quite all right“ Hermione replied, ”It was just a mistake. But I wonder… who did steal the Goblet?"

After parting from the Aiel that had helped them escape those river brigands, Egwene, Nynaeve, and Elayne were sure that they were safe for now. Until they heard a rustling in the bushes. Nynaeve stopped walking, and signaled the other two to do the same. “More of them?” Elayne mouthed as a question.
Nynave nodded slowly and scanned the land around them. They were mainly out in the open, but bushes and trees dotted the land in clusters. This meant that whoever was stalking them had a clear view of the three of them, but the three of them had no idea where the stalker could be. Nynaeve closed her eyes and started trickling the one power, trying to sense where the stalker, or stalkers were..
Boom! Min burst out of the leaves. Nynaeve's eyebrows shot up, but then she tried to play it cool, like she had known it was Min. Egwene sighed with relief and Elayne ran up to hug Min.
“We thought you were-” Egwene started, but Min shrugged it off.
“A brigand? I would have thought I was one to. I almost thought you guys were to, but I saw the images over your head through the bushes and I recognized you. Though I did see some new images around the three of your heads..” Min mumbled and shook her head.
While she was catching up with Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne they got distracted and stopped paying attention to the sounds around them. They didn't hear the click-clack of the horses' steps, or the rustling of the bushes and the quiet crunches of boots on fallen leaves and dead sticks. They didn't notice until it was too late.

After another rough encounter with river brigands, Egwene and her friends had taken many casualties. Nynaeve was nowhere close to having enough strength to be angry and unleash the one power to heal herself. If the super powerful Nynaeve couldn't use her powers in the state she was in, there was no chance that Elayne could. Egwene had just barely avoided injuries or death from the fight. She still was in shock and wasn't sure of exactly how she did it. Min was injured as well, and kept mumbling about how if she said something about the images she had seen above their heads, this wouldn't have happened, or it could have been stopped. Egwene knew she didn't have the power to heal all of their serious wounds, she would likely go weak from just healing Nynaeve's. She couldn't save everyone. Though maybe if she saved Nynaeve, Nynaeve could then save the other two, since she was stronger than Egwene.

July 3rd Daily -
(400 words)

What is something that I did to help someone recently? This is kind of a hard question for me to answer, it’s slightly difficult for me to think of specific times where I might have helped someone knowingly. The only thing that can really come to mind right now is when I was at a performance for a musical theater camp on July 1st. One of my castmates was extremely nervous as this was one of the first times she was performing in front of an audience and she had a large singing solo. She was kind of freaking out and so me and one of my friends spent some time going over her part with her before the audience arrived so that she could feel confident in herself. She ended up crushing the performance and doing absolutely wonderful, and I was so happy that I could give her some more confidence in herself so that she could do the absolute best that she could during our performance.

Another thing that also happened during the performance was a different castmate than the one mentioned above forgot some lyrics while on stage and me and some other kids in the performance sang quietly behind her until she was back on track and was able to finish her song absolutely wonderfully.

I am also sure in the past few days, weeks and even months I’ve helped many people, however I may not know quite how many because I know that I may have a positive impact on many people that I’ve met with and I just may not know it, which I am perfectly okay with. I feel pride in knowing that even when I don’t mean to, I may be helping people all around me. And even though I may not get recognition for everything that I may do to help people, regardless of how big or small the action may be, I’m alright with that because I know that I shouldn’t do good things for people for the recognition that I may receive, but rather just for the sake of doing something good for the other people that I meet during my life. I also know that one day, I will be rewarded for helping people around me and that in itself is all the reason I need to be helpful and kind to anyone and everybody that I meet.

Entering a Fanfiction Simulation

Fan-fi Cabin Daily, July 3rd: One of the highlights of the Fan-fi Republic is the Simulation technology. Write 200 words about what would happen if you could create and step inside a virtual reality based on a story that you or someone else wrote!

352 words

Lights flickered on the wall of servers as Ashia’s fingers ran over the keyboard. > RUN SIMULATION, she typed. Her pinky finger hovered over the enter key as she scanned the code for any bugs or miscalculations. All the lines of text were green, indicating that the simulation was ready to start.

Ashia tapped enter, then swiveled in her chair to gaze at the portal. The door whirred with light, and Ashia secured the smartwatch onto her wrist. Once inside, that would let her summon the portal and get back home.

After a deep breath, she closed her eyes, pressed her hand against the portal and slowly stepped inside…

At first, it was quiet. Then the sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds filled the air. Ashia’s eyes blinked open, and her first thought was that she had done something wrong.

The trees and undergrowth towered over her, much bigger than the plant life back home. The smells were much sharper, and the sounds much louder than usual. Everything was also slightly foggier than she was used to it, and it was hard to focus on things that were close to her face.

Then she looked down, and realized that the simulation was actually running exactly the way she had coded it. She was on all fours, and she was covered in dark gray fur. She was a cat!

So the Warriors simulation had worked. Ashia couldn’t help but let out a triumphant purr. For the first time in the history of the Republic, she had cracked the technique to become a different species while in the simulations!

Her body was bursting with excitement, but Ashia forced herself to calm down. The Clans wouldn’t take lightly to intruders on their territory, and, from the pine trees all around her, it seemed that she had ended up in ShadowClan.

As long as she stayed hidden from the patrols, she should be fine. Now, it was time to explore her favorite fandom! Detecting the scent of the lake on the breeze, she checked her mental map of the territories, and started for the ThunderClan border.
