How do I become a Scratcher? I moved from a different account, but I still have to start over as a New Scratcher. How do I become a Scratcher?

Create and share projects, check out other peoples projects and interact with them, such as “loving” the projects you like and commenting on them, and wait a couple weeks.

I don't usually share projects (for a reason, but I don't think I can share that on Scratch). I'm sure there are New Scratchers who will stay new Scratchers for years just because their parents won't let them comment on projects.

This is correct, I was a New Scratcher for eight months until I left some comments out of bravery and I was able to become a Scratcher.

You must be on the site for at least 2 weeks and share at least 2 projects. Commenting, posting on the forums, and doing other social actions can also make you get the Scratcher invitation quicker.

you need to post atleast 2 projects, and be active, as in, comment on peoples projects, perhaps follow someone, join a studio, etc. I think you pretty much just have to have the projects, and be an active commenter

Seriously, Scratch should aim better to keep kids safe and remove the “comment to become a Scratcher”. I'm working on Mobbif, which is an auto-run platformer, but I have no other projects in mind that I'm publishing to Scratch.

If there are more restrictions to become a Scratcher, it's harder for trolls to have complete power, mate, and it won't be a problem if they're a regular active New Scratcher just being normal and wanting the full status, and if they're not allowed to comment for some reason it's okay because 1. Commenting isn't a requirement and 2. Most restrictions apply to comments or forum posts anyway, so if they can't interact with the community then that's alright

Also I wanted to mention that getting alerts from ST can make it take longer to get the status

by Be active on the website. This is a big part of becoming a Scratcher. Sharing projects regularly can be a way.
Have comments and/or forum posts. (This is not necessary, but it does help.).

Because not all people are good.

Back in the day, there was no New Scratcher. Then, some trolls joined and spammed inappropriate images on the forums. This meant that the Scratch Team had to add restrictions for new users to basically annoy the trolls. (I mean who joins, literally uploads some projects, loves and faves some, and then after 2 weeks magically turns into a troll?)
