Hello and welcome to Pixel's Quest Forum! This is where all of the quests will be posted, so please follow this forum for updates!


Please don't post anything here except completed quests. :) If you have any questions, please ask in our lodge.





♢ Info…

Quests are our in-cabin activities! They follow the Pixel Arcade storyline and each one challenges you to draw a comic strip of the storyline.

If you join a quest, you should post a link to your art to this forum, for proof that you completed it, and indicate which quest you joined!

Hopefully, you'll end up with a collection of these comics to remind you of the journey! And at the end, we'll have a collab project for you to put together the comic with a piece from each camper. :)






♢ Schedule…



• 1st Quest: Starts on the 2nd and ends on the 4th


• 2nd Quest: Starts on the 5th and ends on the 7th


• 3rd Quest: Starts on the 8th and ends on the 10th


• 4th Quest: Starts on the 11th and ends on the 13th


• 5th Quest: Starts on the 14th and ends on the 16th


• 6th Quest: Starts on the 17th and ends on the 19th


• 7th Quest: Starts on the 20th and ends on the 22nd


• 8th Quest: Starts on the 23rd and ends on the 25th


• 9th Quest: Starts on the 26th and ends on the 28th


• 10th Quest: Starts on the 29th and ends on the 30th



The schedule may be subject to change, but for now, this is how it should work.





Conclusion…

We hope that you follow along with all of the quests. It will be an adventure! <3

You look into the pixelated forest and glance back at Sunny and Jean.

“The game starts with me talking to the king, right? So I guess I just have to find his castle…” you trail off.

Sunny nods. “Yep! It's just this way.”


After a long while of walking, the three of you arrive at the castle gates. Without asking for an explanation, the guards usher you inside.
Following behind Jean and Sunny, you make your way to the throne room.

Snoring echoes through the room, and you realize that the king is asleep. He's curled up on the throne, looking perfectly comfortable.

Stepping onto the red runner, you take a deep breath.

“Your highness, you requested my assistance?”

The king jerks out of his sleep with a snort. “What?” he rubs his eyes,  “Oh.., yes, yes. My crown. It was stolen by thieves. Can you get it back for me?”

“Yes, absolutely,” you smile.

The king slowly stands to his feet. “Then it's settled. You'll be greatly rewarded,” he grins “Now, get going!”


You take the horse given to you by the king and start riding down the road towards the town.

All of a sudden, the words Crown Quest pop up in the sky, startling you. You pause and listen as a voice from nowhere says, "You are now ready to start…welcome to Crown Quest!"

You laugh, remembering how you would see this pop up on the screen when you played the game. You can't believe you forgot.

Looking down the road again, you continue on, ready for the adventure to begin.

Activity:

Draw a comic based on the scene and focus on the part with the king.You must make at least 3 panels in your comic strip.

Post it here when you're done for proof. :) It's due by 11:59 p.m. on the 4th, NDT time.

Quest 2

You have been riding for some time now, and you sigh, looking ahead at the dirt trail you've been staring at for hours.

“I don't remember the town being this far…,” you mutter under your breath.

Just as you are about to stop to take a break, you see a town ahead. You pick up the reins and urge your horse to go faster.

Jean and Sunny trail behind you, and you hear their horses' hooves pound the dirt.

As you get closer to the town, you notice a man that seems familiar. You realize that he might match the description of the thief.

The man is moving quickly, his dark clothes making him blend in with the people around him. Looking back over his shoulder, he notices you watching him. He shifts into a run, and you urge your horse after him.

Passing through the town, you charge through a new section of the forest, this time much denser. The setting sun shines through the trees and into your eyes, blinding you.

You block it out with your hand and see that the man is slowing down. As you finally get close enough to him, a group of thieves emerge out of the forest and surround you. They each have various knives, and you feel your heart speed up, realizing just how real this is.

Activity:

Draw a comic based on the scene. But there's a catch! You can't include any dialogue. Focus instead on sound effects! You must make at least 2 panels in your comic strip.

Quest 3

You are still surrounded in the forest and watch wide-eyed as the thieves move closer to you. Each face looks back at you, a glint in their eyes as they hold their knives higher. You wildly wrack your brain for something to help you.

Glancing at your saddlebag, you reach in and pull out a bow and arrow. You don't remember that being there when you loaded the saddlebag, but hey, you're in a videogame so anything can happen.

You quickly notch the arrow and draw it back to your cheek, instinct kicking in. The arrow whizzes by, and you look back at Jean and Sunny. You see them following your example. The band of thieves quickly disperse as they realize that you've brought a bow and arrow to a knife fight.

You laugh to yourself. “Silly thieves. They were too slo-” you trail off as you realize that one of the thieves has pulled out a crossbow. She quirks her lips into a toothy grin and your mouth drops open. The game wasn't like this before….

All of a sudden, Jean and Sunny urge their horses forward, which startles your horse into a run. The three of you burst through the trees, limbs hitting your face left and right.

You look over your shoulder and see that you've left the thieves. For now.

Activity:

Draw a comic based on the scene, focusing on movement! Zoom into little details, like the arrow whizzing or a horse's feet as it runs. You must make at least 3 panels in your comic strip.

Post it here when you're done for proof. :) It's due by 11:59 p.m. on the 10th, NDT time.

Quest 3 is over. BUT since no one completed it, you can still earn 2 coins if you complete it anytime before the session is over! We hope that you do so that we can make the comic collab with all the pieces! <3
