Allow managers to MANAGE STUDIOS
Support! I TOTALLY AGREE: this is a problem with the new update to studios and it really should change. Managers should be able to do way more than curators, and should be able to have the same abilities as the owner. I was running a studio against cyber bullying for my friend who went inactive a couple years ago, and all of a sudden I realized I can't actually take over and edit certain things in the description. This is a problem, because my friend (who is the owner) isn't active and can't go and change it for me. Instead, that studio just ended up going inactive anyways because without the proper means to do so, I couldn't run it well. All I could do was reply to comments in the studio.

I think super managers should actually be called “Head managers”. That would be a better name.I would rather have them split manager into 2 roles: Manager and Super Manager. Managers can:While Super Managers can:
- Promote People to Manager
- Invite People to the studio
- Remove curators from the studio
- Add projects
- Remove projects
But since that wouldn't solve the issue of currently headless studios support.
- Do everything managers can
- Change the title, description, and thumbnail
- Promote people to super manager
- Demote people from manager
Edit: I found the PR a while ago. There should only be 50 super managers, while there can be an infinite amount of regular managers.
I think this is a great idea I have a studio I am manager and the owner was inactive so I was the one to change thumbnails edit stuff so now I cant do any of that and the studio is basically dead because I was the one keeping it alive but now I can only do what on the list here what “managers” can but I used to have the power of a “Super Manager” I think this will bring studios back that are in the circumstances that my studio is in. I support this!

I support. There is this studio which I am a manager of, but the host is inactive. The only thing I can do is put new projects in and call the project taken over by Pro Dinners (my development team).

You can make a request to the scratch team to transfer ownership, if you can prove that the current host really is inactive, and there is a consensus among the remaining curators/managers to allow you to be the host. I've done this, they're very helpful.

If it's not too late, we should grant the manager a little more authority, but is it too late now?

I think this could still be possible.

Yes, I agree, it should be changed and if it is as a discussion, it will continue. However, I don't think the Scratch team is interested in this change

I think I would like this, managers are basically now curators but with a special name.Exactly.

I completely agree. Now there isn’t even a point in becoming a manager. It’s just like a fancier, cool sounding name. All that happens is you can kick people, which was already a big cause of problems. If you were gonna revoke privileges, at least make it where you can’t kick other managers but you can edit the description.

It's been exactly eleven months since this suggestion was made. Nearly everyone has moved on by now and things are basically running exactly the same as they were before. I think it's fine the way it is and if this suggestion is implemented, it will cause the opposite effect because the Scratch community hates change.
