I never thought about that… I guess it's because I use Windows and it already looks connected
I forked it earlier today and I'll probably pr my changes tonight more than likely

this is what it currently looks like merged

That looks really good! One thing I don't like is that the top icons are shifted left, so it kind of ruins the continuity of the icon bar. But other than that, great job!
should they be put somewhere else or naw?
I don't know where else they would go, so I think it's fine.
i pr'd my changes check it out when you get a chance https://github.com/MystPi/ninetails/pull/141
Hm, that's a whole bunch of changes. Also, please don't use a code formatter, since I like the current style and formatting it results in hug diffs.
I've had an entire project broken by a formatter once , it's dangerous to use them.

I never use a code formatter either since I have my own code style that I follow very consistently.

Help improve the Advanced Topics (Really!)
Before you create a topic:
Always search for duplicates or other similar topics before making an umbrella topic, e.g., “The Mac Topic”.
  • Is it about something you are planning on making but haven't made yet? If so, please wait to post until you have created a working prototype. This is a key factor to keeping the ATs as clean as possible.
  • The ATs aren't technical support. It is perfectly valid to ask questions about things related to programming, but not issues with external websites, apps, or devices. Most sites have their own support system; try asking there!
  • Is it related to something you are making in Scratch? (This includes OSes and other Scratch projects) If so, please post in Collaboration, Show and Tell, or another similar forum.
  • Is your topic questionably “advanced”? Try browsing the other forums to see if your topic fits better in one of those.
  • Issues with Scratch itself should be put in Bugs and Glitches.
Before you post: Is what you're posting likely to start an argument or derail the thread (e.g., browsers, operating systems)? If so, please re-think your post!

I don't really have enough time to document my code style, but you could look through some of my GitHub repos if you want. This might be a good example, though it is slightly messy at parts.

yeah i accidentally had my code formatter on, unfortunately i didn't catch it right away.. either way i have it disabled for that workspace now so it should be all good.

i use arch linux (btw) with the linux zen kernel and enjoy writing silly things in silly languages using silly frameworks

Hey all, I'm sorry to inform you that Ninetails will be archived after the last 3.8.1 release. This is for a couple reasons:
  • I regret my tech stack choice for Ninetails, which is simply Electron with Tailwind CSS and plain HTML/JavaScript. It would be a lot simpler, more DRY, and a whole lot more maintainable if it were rewritten in a framework like React, Svelte, or Imba, which might happen in the future (I make no promises).
  • Maintaining the repository has been a bit of a pain lately, with all of the dependency bumps and the like, and I've also been maintaining Aviate and Scratch Tutorials which feels like a bit much.
So, even though it's sad to see it go, I have finally decided to archive the repo. It's been a fun journey and I've learned a lot from making this browser!

You will still be able to download and install any versions already released at https://github.com/mystpi/ninetails/releases .
