Chromium is okay because
  • It is free software (meaning that you can see exactly what it is doing on your computer, and other people can help develop it)
  • It does not track you as much and G00gle Chrome, but still tracks you a little bit
*you can't just download straight chromium, it runs behind the scenes. google chrome and such is a gui to display its output and control it
https://chromium.woolyss.com be like: (it does have a link to an official chromium download tho, but it's canary)

The website is a trusted download source for Chromium builds.

No, Chromium is a browser. Blink/V8 are the engines, not Chromium. And Chrome, is just another Chromium fork.
so google chrome is just chromium with tracking added in and marketed by google

Edge is just built off of Chromium (I guess they gave up because their products are so bad) but I think that they still screwed it up.

Firefox is for the chads, the only real downside is that there isn't much of a library of extensions.

I prefer Chrome over Firefox just because it has so many quality of life features in the browser itself (not including tracking) that Firefox does not have.

you could use chromium, there's some builds over on chromium.woolyss.com with sync if you need that too

I saw a few ads for “Chrome Enterprise” on youtube no shocker. Not really sure where to put it besides here since it does have something in the product tab dedicated to Google Chrome. It's apparently supposed to be some type of Chrome bundle for big businesses, but not really sure why you'd want your company to use Chrome OS unless you're a school who wants total control.

also still uses the pre-100 logo which is odd but that probably doesn't matter that much.

Same with Firefox.
At least Chrome has a new logo (now the old one looks weird)

Chromium doesn't have all of Chrome's features (that's probably why Chromium use isn't widespread), I'd recommend using Ungoogled Chromium.
chromium isnt widespread because it isn't marketed in the same way as chrome and firefox and safari and edge

I use Opera at school because I don’t want to use g00gl3 Chr00m3. When one of my class mates opened Y0uTub3 (he was using edge) a message appeared at the bottom left saying “ you’re not using the recommended browser for g00gl3”.
