I should put this reason in the OP, it seems to make a lot of sense. I agree, trashed projects SHOULD be different than unshared ones.

If someone deletes their account, I'm pretty sure they have the right to disallow other people from playing their games, since they wouldn't have the ability to prevent them from being played after deleting their account otherwise.
