how do u use the forums
So basically, the forums are an organized place for discussing things. Each different form has different rules you need to follow, and you can use the forums to suggest new ideas, talk about things that inspire you, show your scratch projects, and ask questions. However, there is a right place for everything, and the questions about scratch forum is a great place to start, so you can ask how things work.

Each forum has a different theme, for example, the New Scratchers forum is for new users to introduce themselves, and the Questions about Scratch forum is for asking general questions about Scratch, such as about its history, or what is or isn't allowed. Be sure to read the sticky, or pinned, topics. These topics usually contain rules on how to use the forum, frequently asked questions, rejected suggestions, and lists of helpful topics.
In some forums, such as the suggestions forum and Interests beyond Scratch forums, you have to search for an existing topic in the directory sticky topics before posting, or it may be closed as a ‘duplicate.“ It helps keep the forums neat and organized. (Possible exception for Making and Creating: for things you make yourself such as stories, you can just create a new topic without needing to post on an existing topic.)
Don’t post on topics which have been inactive for more than a month, either, even if you are trying to be helpful, the subject may no longer be relevant for the topic poster. This is called ”necroposting“. The only exceptions are topics which are never considered to be ”resolved", such as suggestions topics and interests beyond Scratch topics.
Your topics also have to be relevant to the forum, for example, don't advertise in Making and Creating, as that specific forum is for discussing things you are making outside of Scratch.
This topic has more helpful information about the forums.
