I think this may be too much for the servers for comments as well and it is also hard to moderate - what if someone made a comment image bot? Gifs also shouldn't be allowed if animated thumbnails get NFE'd.

No support. Scratch comments are not meant to make it a social media, but more of a positive feedback or constructive criticism. I guess you could technically post a scratch project with an inappropriate image, but it would happen way more in the comments.

Perhaps
1. It could use a whitelist of image hosts to use
2. It could lazyload images, to help lower effects of spam.
To the argument that the forums are smaller and easier to moderate, thus this would be harder to moderate, should we do away with uploading images to projects, as it can lead to inappropriate images.
