That would make the reactions “not always, or at all relevant”.please notice that the information in the very first post in a topic might not always, or at all be relevant after a certain period of time.Maybe you should edit the OP so it's more accurate and people don't get confused?

Monopoly on browsers isn't good. If Google does something stupid everybody has to suffer. This is debatable. A monopoly on streaming services would be great, since you only have to buy one subscription. Likewise, a monopoly on browsers would be great for developers considering they would only have to adhere to one standard.(#183)Yeah, when I grow up i want to make a better engine that actually is optimized for running apps on the web. Browsers were up until recently designed for static websites that don't do much. Now everyone wants to make full on desktop apps in the browser. So an engine that basically gave the open tab full performance (like the tab was an open window of a native app) would be a lot better, and it would be really fast.
Come on guys. We all know all the browsers are basically the same these days. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blink_(browser_engine)

Also it's really sad there is a monopoly on browser engines. It's either webkit (which blink is based off of so I'm counting them as the same) or gecko (which only firefox uses). Monopolies of any kind are never good
Also there is 1 standard group, WHATWG for HTML and W3C for CSS and formerly HTML

(#211)September 4th, 2018, to be precise. It added the current look and feel that Chrome uses to this day (although I personally prefer the more angular look of M68).nice
(wasn't M69 released years ago?)

I now use Chromium. It works, got sync. To prevent myself from having to update it manually, I found a nice little Chromium updater script that auto updates Chromium. It had an argument to set up a task scheduler task to run the script to check for updates daily.
