I think that the search bar is a useless feature and should be removed. If you're not convinced, here are four reasons…

#1. It doesn't work, anyways.
Yesterday my friend made a project called Five nights at freddy's is the best and it NEVER shows up on search! And they even went to all the effort of making an animated thumbnail so people would see it!!! So why do we even need a search bar, if it won't even work???
#2. It doesn't have anything to do with making projects.
As the Scratch Team has said SOOO many times, Scratch is about MAKING PROJECTS! Not browsing projects! If this is the reason we can't have private messaging (as rejected in this post) then why do we have to have some DUMB search bar which doesn't contribute to project making at all???
#3. Nobody uses it!
I mean, come on! When has anybody used the search tool for anything? And don't tell me that you actually use it, because I've never seen anyone using it!
#4. It's inconsistent with the rest of the site!
We can't search for users, and we can't search for forum topics, so why can we search for projects and studios??? It just doesn't make any sense and it's likely to confuse new Scratchers.

I highly encourage the Scratch Team to remove this dumb feature that never needed to exist in the first place!
I mean, if people actually WANT to search (for SOME reason) they have Google!!!

Support. Another reason is that it makes things too easy. Back in my day, we had to look for Scratch projects manually, and it built character!

Yeah, like, aren't you just supposed to see your friends share the things they made with you? Searching will make zero sense in that case (if you are sending URLs and don't really tend to find anything that interests you through Search).
