Is "hacking" cloud projects bannable?

Hackers are invading griffpatch's massive multiplayer platformer.

Please tell me doing this is bannable.

It could go against the “Be Honest” part of guidelines, as well as scaring New Scratchers. So, it is bannable, but only if you have reportable proof.

Yessir, it breaks this part of Scratch's Terms of Use:

It's bannable unless you are a good hacker and are trying to fix the projects that someone decided it was a smart idea to mess uo.

Yes, but sometimes they don't have a Scratch account.

Cloud variables can only be edited in the editor or outside the editor by verified scratchers, if I’m not mistaken.

Anyways, pretty sure it would be bannable to hack projects, according to logic.

Checked cloud logs a few days back, the account hacking Griffpatch's game was already deleted. So banning does nothing in this case.

I'll never understand WHY people do this. Are they just trying to get attention? Sometimes players work hard to get a world record on a scratch project, or top of the leaderboard of said game. But then we have these hackers that take everything from the plays, with an unfair advantage. They will get banned eventually, so what is the point?

They're just trolls who want reactions. They have the same motivation as the people who impersonate popular people, they want to get a rise out of you. It doesn't matter if they get banned, they'll come back with a new account. And according to dhuls, you don't need an account to hack these cloud variables, so it doesn't matter.

You need an account, it just doesn't care if you're banned, which is how the terminated account hacked the project.

I don't know for sure, but if they hack to do inappropriate stuff, it is definitely bannable, like 1 instance on that same platformer that was VERY inappropriate.

How exactly did they “hack” it, though? I’m a bit confused.

Like, what did he do that was considered to be hacking? Did he get like 10000 items? Unlimited HP? I’m not familiar with the project linked, I haven’t played it yet (I really should though)

I'm pretty sure that they changed the highscore to zero seconds and set the username who got the highscore to a swear word.

0 second speed runs. Plus, and I know what I am gonna say might not be hacking (but probably it is because you are abusing the variables) they posted illegal links
