The only reason why it is transparent is that it looks better than having an app bar with no transparency
When you put your mouse over the bar, the graphic effects are cleared

If it's in phone mode it looks dumb bad on a landscape screen at 4:3 proportions no offense

It's fairly simple to make it look desktop: move the topbar (with the clock on it) to the bottom, like most landscape desktops; hide the app bar; and make the app icons smaller so they look nice on the topbar and add a small background to them to prevent overlapping with notifications icons.

Alright, Blue OS. One of the best OSes on Scratch, right? Was in OS wars and they did amazing! Let's see how their navbar looked like

As you can see, we have the options button plus apps at the top, ok? They don't have a nav bar down there. They have some stuff at the bottom basically like settings.


Next, ScratchOS.

They don't have a nav bar and they are more like mobile which looks good with no nav bars at all! But you know why we cannot do that. Not after v1.0


Then, Oryx OS. This was on trending a week ago and it was really good! Lets see what the nav bar looks like

As you can see, we have the launch menu at the top and the app dock at the bottom. A little small though…


Next, Fabricon OS. This is a popular OS and many people like it. Here is what the nav bar looks like.

As you can see, this is simplistic. There is only one nav bar on the side and there are apps there. The little white line is where you can access the launch menu. Pretty simplistic and the nav bar is on the bottom


Then, Orange OS. I personally like this OS and let's look at the navbar!

Woah look at that! There is no navbar. But basically it is at the bottom. No other details so next OS!


Red OS! Part of the OS wars with Blue OS. Lets see how their navbar looks like!

Wow! This is a regular ol' nav bar! But when I hover over it, it doesn't clear graphic effects. Glass UI? eww! But all apps are there and it is generic like Windows


Amber OS. Also part of the OS wars with the other two color OSes. Let's see if they have a navbar

Wow! A launch menu at the top and then some apps at the botom like an app dock! Similar to AspectOS v2.0, except ours is rounded. So this is similar to ours except their looks more like Windows


Last but not least, GreenOS. How many times do I have to say that this was in the OS wars as well. I have never tried this OS before so lets see how their navbar looks.

Woah! This looks like what we have at the moment. A rounded app dock (transparent of course)
We have the time at the top and then a menu button at the bottom
Apps are at the bottom with the information sign, asistant, and more!
Really similar to what AspectOS has at the moment

Now, these might be Scratch OSes but what if we look into an OS that is really popular. MacOS!
Now, this doesn't have a rounded app dock like some of the things I have shown here, but what this has is an app dock at the bottom and the launch menu at the top! Basically what we are doing at the moment!

As you can see, many OSes use the rounded circle app dock and/or a launch menu at the top. We will also have a feature where you can move the positions of the launch menu and the app dock. One could be at the top while the other one could be at the bottom

And besides, mobile users really shouldn't be using our OS for v2.0 since it is more of a PC project than a mobile-friendly type of project. But that is why we have aOS Mobile coming soon (hopefully. how are we doing toast)

And the fact that you can change the place where the nav bar can be as well is good as well!
